How about DONT MOVE TO IDAHO. Too many people have moved here in too short of time driving up home prices more then they should be and straining infrastructure and roads that cant handle the increase. In the past year i over heard some people from califirnia complaining that the houses are more expensive here now then in califirnia of all places. For those of us that have lived here all our lives we feel like we are getting priced out of house and home with the increases in property value and thus property taxes due purely from supply and demand and too many people moving here.
Unfortunately, Idaho’s reputation is not great. It’s viewed by most of the rest of the country as being severely intolerant of other’s viewpoints, very misogynistic, overly religious, and rather unsophisticated. It’s a shame. Shouting out the fact that you still hold rodeos in the state really highlights how far behind your sensibilities have fallen. Honestly, who abuses animals like that anymore? I don’t think you can attract the kind of people to the state that you’ll need to thrive in this high tech world without first embracing different ideas and viewpoints. But we like your potatoes. 🥔
So.. what you are saying is there is a prejudice developing among outsiders against Idahoans due to their misogynistic, religious, and unsophisticated ways. (Please look up misogynistic) I'm surprised you failed to mention the term racist in there somewhere. Please, follow your preconceived ideas for us simpletons and stay in your safe place. You will not likey be happy here. We are but simple people who can really only do one thing well, raise potatoes (with the use of shovels and burlap sacks. Teknolojy and edukation is not our thing) Keep in mind, if you come visit, we will do our best to love you because our backward religious upbringing taught us to be kind, even though sometimes it can be really hard ;)

I would agree that migration away from silicone valley is happening everywhere, especially in sleepier quieter states where quality of life is good.
