Know THIS When Building a New Construction Home in Boise, Idaho
Great news. The smug Californians that moved into the Boise area are insufferable. Bragging about being from California is like bragging about visiting Epstien Island.
nwo slavery coming.. What is coming is. huge holographic globalist parasitic cabal projected ufo's with military drones inside bombing civilians and thus will bring in the NWO - UN led world government , slavery and depopulation. Wake up. as per many whistleblowers.
It's a great city. Have a Merry Christmas.
And a very merry Christmas to you too Kurt!! 🎄🎁
I love how well it worked outl for you and your family.
We feel very blessed to have found this place. 🙏

What country is this
Big Country
Sounds magnificent.
It’s very exciting to watch it come together!
@EricaToffel Idaho is also in love with the roundabouts. It seems to really help with traffic.
I’m curious? Is North Meridian vastly more expensive than South Meridian? I can’t wait until we get a chance to tour some of the areas. I also like the Boise area around the South Cloverdale road area. Just not sure what newer developments there are there 😊
Bad air 6 months out of the year . Traffic congestion campgrounds so crowded you can hear the other campers farting. And the worst part..californians
Good to know! I think there are a lot more pros than cons!
I absolutely agree. Everywhere will have some drawbacks but you hope that wherever you live the cons don’t outweigh the pros.
Good to know! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely. Love sharing some knowledge
It sucks in idaho. You should move to kentucy.
We do want to visit!
Living in the tropics, I periodically check the weather in Winnipeg to remind myself what some folk have to endure. Granted, Boise is a long way from Winnipeg but both Winters would kill me. Spring, however, is definitely a season I miss when we have only two - hot/wet and hot/dry. Happy trails.
Winter is a choice and there are days when I’d rather be in the Tropics but today it’s nearly 60 degrees out in the middle of December.
They are so foolish. I saw a guy from California throw a can at the base of a garbage can. I said hey what the hell are you doing he said that's somebody's job to pick that up . Hot here in Idaho
Summers can get hot, I don’t disagree.
Don’t California my Idaho is bullshit 🙄💀
😂 Nothing will stop Californians that want to move.
It depends do I know the area, is it considered a very safe place or am I looking to buy in Chicago where one neighborhood might be a lot better than another.
Great follow up question! Depending on the answer, may be where you really need that trust in your advisor!
That's a lot on the shoulders of the realtor and buyer. I probably would have lack of trust in my final decision. I wouldn't want to put that on my realtor.
When I don’t feel confident in the choice of home they want to offer on, I won’t allow the Buyer not to make the trip to see it in person. And in those few instances, I’ve been right, they have had second thoughts.
Nice in Summer, hell in winter, or am I missing something,
We haven’t even had snow yet this winter so it’s not as bad as many think. Boise gets 4 seasons but they are all fairly mild, in my opinion.
Bye!!!
Hello!!
@ Hello back
Great to see you all having fun.

While I’m excited about moving there soon. My worry is the infrastructure. The traffic is crazy on Eagle rd and the highway in the morning and afternoon. Just hope that they can expand the roads somehow
It's been that way for 15 years and it won't get any better.
Is there traffic in Boise, Idaho? #boise #eagleidaho #idaho #traffic
I live in Oregon and absolutely love it. We have a lot of transplants here as well. We have lots more traffic than we used to, and it’s quite expensive too. There is talk about us joining Idaho, and while Idaho is beautiful it’s not Oregon. I don’t want to live in Idaho so I’m hoping it doesn’t pass. I think instead of leaving your home you should stay and fight for changes to be made. Why take your bs with you and make other people suffer?
I think folks love to talk about the idea of states becoming a part of another state but there is so much bureaucracy in making something like that happen, I don’t see it becoming a reality. But fun talking point.
Too much jider jaber
🤔
I bought 2 acres and have my own 50 yard shooting range outside my back door! A dream come true! I’m not going anywhere! God Bless Idaho, a Free State!
Good for you for living your dream. That is what it’s all about… whatever that dream is!
It can get rough.
Depends on the year for sure!
I couldn't find a girlfriend so I returned to Folsom
Ok - that’s a reason. 😂
If you are for any type of firearm restrictions, then Idaho is not for you.
That’s fair
Great video Erica. Lots of good information for when we move there.
2026 will be here before you know it!
@ No doubt! I like the information regarding a local lender. Thinking that may be the way to go! 👍🏻😊
@@carlossolares88 local lenders have all the details on local loan programs which can offer better rates than many national lenders
Home inspections are critical.
You can say that again!!
Congratulations to the Boise State Broncos for a great season!
Maybe we can top it off with a bowl game win and a Heismann trophy winner. 🤞

Is Eagle, Idaho Expensive? #eagleidaho #idaho #boise
Love this!!!
I love hearing the stories of why my clients made their move.
Good to know!!
Now you know better 😉
The weather
Is the weather a plus or negative for you?? ❄️🍂☀️🌸
@ The cold for so long and inversions worry me.
@@alisonpaulson5564 I get that! The Inversion affect can stick around longer than we want.
Unless you’re coming from a place like LA, or a Portland or a Seattle I think that living here will be a bit of a struggle financially for most people. I’ve also noticed that a lot of people moving from out of state bring their jobs/salaries with them, often times making a lot more money than those forced to find employment locally. It’s interesting that Idaho’s largest employer which is the State of Idaho has a vacancy rate of nearly 15% and a turnover rate of 22%, both figures of which have only grown despite the massive population growth. In other words, everyone wants to live here but absolutely nobody wants to work here. I was a State Trooper in Idaho and my wife worked for the State of Idaho as a Financial Specialist and combined we made about $102K/year (pre-tax). With a couple of kids, daycare costs, and a median home price in Ada County of about 1/2 million it was a struggle to say the least.
Same thing in Colorado outside of Denver. Sure, very liveable, but not if you need to find local employment without special skills. You need to essentially bring your job with you or you are hosed.
I believe the cost of housing has slowed the migration into the state. Those looking to move strictly for a bargain are having to look elsewhere.
That’s interesting that Denver “adjacent” experiences the same thing given it’s so much bigger in population.
The concern with people is not that you moved for cheaper living but if you plan to vote the same way California votes. Idaho does not want people to come benefit from more conservative policies just come and vote in the same garbage they did in California. Now if you are coming to escape it ane you embrace the more conservatice life then welcome. But if not then I do not see it as a positive. Excuse my brashness but I hate seeing liberals go to states that do not share their views and try to impliment the same junk in them that made them want to move out of those liberal states.
In my experience, those moving here aren’t looking to change it. But obviously I don’t meet everyone moving here. 😉
As long as you don’t bring the liberal bull crap from California
Fair
Hold the phone! I grew up in mostly northern California from 6th grade into college years and outdoor activities are some of my fondest memories. Tubing down the American River in Sacramento, backpacking in Desolation Wilderness up in the Sierra's. Snow Skiing in the Sierra's in winter. I learned to scuba dive in Monterey. I kind of always thought of California as at least two different states, Southern California and Northern California. Of course the cost of living in northern California has good way up. My parents bout a 2100 sq ft two story home in Davis, just west of Sacramento in 1971 for $36k (crazy isn't it?) They sold it in 1984 for around $150k. Last time I checked it was over 1 million! Crazy. They moved first to Dallas Texas, then Worchester MA, and finally northern Virginia where they bought a 3k sq ft house in 1993 for $445k That house is now valued at about $1.2m. Anyway, as much as I have fond memories of northern California, I would ot be able to afford to live there. I live presently in northern Virginia out west of Manassas VA in a home purchased for $299k in late 2017. Putting sweat equity into it.
Sweat equity is the way to go! Hold on to that asset for as long as you can.
Anywhere is better than CA. Then again the west coast states are like a single digit percentage improvement. So, ID is a big improvement.
It’s definitely different than CA so if you are willing to embrace it, then you are all set. 😁
I moved from California to North Idaho 37 years ago and never looked back. I live in waterfront splendor just outside a small mountain-lake resort town that is beautiful, tranquil, uncrowded, safe, clean, friendly, and a year-round recreational paradise. The area isn't for everyone, but for me, it's utopia. Full disclosure: while I lived in California for 30 years, my family is on its sixth generation in North Idaho.
That’s amazing that you found your little slice of heaven! Idaho is pretty amazing!
How has the climate difference from CA been for you and your family? The snow/cold/short days/less sunshine in winter is a big change. We moved 8 yrs ago from a southern state to CO. One of our reasons to move was to get away from the excessive heat. I was 50 and my husband was 56. Two daughters moved with us. It’s hard to make a big change at the age we were then.
The short days can be tough as winter wears on but we adjust our lifestyle to maximize outdoor sunshine activities when we can!!! Many of my clients are retired and making the big move and it can be a blessing and a curse. Excited for new adventure but hard to leave friends and family. Moving at any age is rough.
This is just what I needed. Just got back from Boise yesterday. I moved my 3 daughters up there starting back in 2021. My husband, my son and myself are still in the Bay Area, Ca. I love Boise. My daughters are happy in Boise. I am just yet to convince my husband and son how great it is. Thanks for the video showing the upside of moving there!
It’s hard to leave what you know but once you make that leap, it’s amazing! Assuming the change is what you are looking for. 😉
Boise is very expensive too... Traffic keeps getting bad... the locals don't want more californians to keep moving to Idaho... we've thought of moving, but things are not as they seemed to be...
It is true that Boise is more expensive than it used to be. But still wonderful homes at affordable prices to be found.

My family missed the fir trees and the greenery. The Hiking trails and not as many events. The zoo and museums were a bit micro too. I however was ready for the change. I miss it. The jobs were very low pay at the time and had to transfer back.
Even now some lateral career moves will pay less depending on where you’re moving from but hopefully your dollar stretches farther here. I realize that’s not always how it plays out though.
If you're liberals, I hope you left your destructive lefty habits behind.
