    ANOTHER great video from you! I've been riding Ski-Doo's for the last 22 years (I rode Polaris from 1987 - 2000) and took the jump and snow checked a '24 XC 850 last week (which will also be my first two stroke since 2010) and this video was very informative. I'm really looking forward to this sled to say the least. You do a great job explaining everything on the Polaris sleds and your videos are very informative. It's interesting learning the nuances' of the different sleds now that I switched brands. Keep up the great work!!!!!

      Awesome choice of sled! You're going to love the 850 engine. Thank you for the feed back, I'm glad to help!

    I like to let mine warm up to 100°f here in my part of Alaska. Bc when the thermostats open up the temp drops 20°f.

    Hey Cole! What about the 650's for fuel? I heard regular gas is fine also.

    That’s my sled. Except, I’ve got red hand guards, spindles, ski grab handles, and track rails.

    Definitely good to vary throttle. Program run fuel and oil higher in first 500 on my 650. Now I can’t start it or it may explode.

    Hey what’s your opinion. On the 1.6 track on a 850 xcr

      I’m interested too, I just no checked at 2023 with a one. Six track I typically run stud so I may end up studing this but wanted something for a little more case I get off trail

      The cobra 1.6" track is a great option and most people don't even stud this track because it hooks up so well on trail. Also if you do play off trail the Cobra always does a great job in deep loose snow.

    I bought mine from a dealer with a few miles on it and when I starts and stalls like 3 times until it gets to around 30 degrees. I usually just baby the throttle, but it’s annoying. No loss of power or any other issues. Any ideas?

      You should contact the dealer you purchased it from. There might be a Polaris team tip about this with an update for the ECU.

    Having the oil tank on clutch side is bad idea

  • @chriscooper775

    That would be an XCR not an XC !!

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports  2 года назад

      Correct, this is an XCR. But, break in will be the same on all Indy 850's.

    I hate break in procedure's. Some say to baby it, some say to hammer on it to seat the rings, some say motors are already broken in at the factory, some say it doesn't matter. I would like to see failures from incorrect break in procedures, not saying there not there but nobody talks about it making it appear break in is all non sense.

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports  Год назад +1

      I am the service manager and it is rare to see failures during break in but I usually see the exhaust side of the piston melt down from wide open throttle during the break in period. But its always hard to say if the customer didnt let the sled warm up or not. My words of advice are dont ruin your season over neglect during the break in process.

      @@AplusPowerSports I hear ya and am planning on following their requirements, they put a tag right on the gas cap emphasizing this on our new 850's so I'm sure there's more to it than I know.
