Fabulous! Details have helped us hugely for our first visit/ holiday there next year.

Thank you so much. The video obviously glosses over a fair bit, but there is so much to see and it's so beautiful. I hope you have a great trip.

Great info. Those videos with girls camping in their vans doing outfit checks drives me bonkers😂

Thank you! No outfit checks in my videos, obviously!

Don't forget to mention that Monterey has a regional airport, MRY. It's a bit more expensive because it's regional, but that also makes it fairly hassle free. There are direct flights from various locations, so check out this airport when making plans. And, obviously, you're going to need a car when going to Big Sur, so factor that in as well.

You're very right - forgot about the Monterey airport (didn't even think of it!)

OMG - I don't remember - I stopped at several. I did some videos just outside the area too (sometimes it's too busy or noisy).

Is there a place to snorkel or swim? What is water temp during the summer?

A good diving location is Garrapata State Beach and Pfeiffer Beach is a popular spot for swimming in Big Sur. The temperature (according to seatemperature.re) is high 50s in the summer. I haven't tried swimming there for years but the last time I did (ages ago) I found it VERY cold!
