The Jack handle fits onto that valve screw. Turn it very slowly to the left-just a hair at a time. And remember to turn it back to the right to close it once the jack cylinder is down. You'll probably have to push down on it to make it go down. If you loosen it too much, hydraulic fluid will start to leak out of it.

How do you lower it?
