I don't have many issues with wrist pain at this stage, and the pace of this practice and the stillness for the first half or so was really frustrating to me at first even though logically I knew it was valuable. Then, when we did the first downward dog, my heels touched the earth for the first time ever!!!!!!! I was so thrilled, my mood literally changed instantly. Yoga is such a powerful tool in so many ways, and I'm so happy I stuck out this practice today which brought me to such a lovely moment of joy!!!

A refining practice today, so helpful to improve our game. Knuckles are a problem for me, as any senior yogi with arthritis hands will know, but the lovely stretches loosened up my wrists and hands beautifully. I added a quickie to wake up the body, 5-Minute Morning Yoga 🙏😊 and I am done. See you tomorrow on the mat Adriene 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💕

My wrist has been hurting for over a week. I've been doing hands-free yoga, because the pain was too much--and I was afraid I was really messing up my wrist. Did the first 15 minutes of this video last night. Today... no pain in my wrist. Magic? Not sure. But I sure am grateful. Thanks, Adriene!

hello friends! its been a while since ive left any fun comments on these videos, i wonder if it has anything to do with the sort of iffy month ive been having (sooooo different from my participative, super energetic, open minded month of june) although i haven’t skipped a practice, i don’t want to let it become something automatic just to tic of my list so here i am.
If anyone’s reading this, do you also sometimes notice vibration/energy differences from one month to another? Its like everything last month just worked out and made sense and this month everyday has been a “oh shit whats gonna happen today” 🤣 either emotionally, work wise, relationship, family…. its been a ride! Im just thankful i have these practices and breath medicine to cling onto the only sense of self i trust. Anyways, wishing everyone a great weekend

    • @williamb7275
      @williamb7275 3 года назад +1

Yes, I think it is normal to experience, or recognise, these vibrational shifts, particularly as we become more in tune to our bodies and our energy.

    🤚Process Day 28✋
Spent some extra time on the wrist and forearm massage today, it just felt so good! During the practice my entire arm was on fire and I had to take multiple breaks, but after practice my wrists feels so “light” and “airy” for lack of better words. They just feel so stretched and zenned out! I Definitely enjoyed this practice and the information it contained! Sending love and light as always❤️💫 Namaste🙏

I’ve been away from yoga for a couple years. I came to my favorite teacher and I couldn’t do any of anything that involved the wrists. So I watched this video to help because that was horrible! The pain was so bad! And I was able to get half way through this video! I’m kind of bummed but I’ll let that go and chose to be happy I got half way! Tomorrow I’ll get farther!

For Day 21 of CARE, this practice was quite a challenge for this arthritic yogi ! My hands and wrists are perhaps my most discomfort 🙁 but with all your therapeutic practices I tried my best because I know from experience they really do work for me. 😊 I had to be mindful and breathe through and take breaks but afterwards I feel a lovely looseness and no pain. I shall try to concentrate more on my hands in downward dog and put your advice into practice. It’s those little refinements that make all the difference 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💞

Hi Adriene! Yesterday I went to a session of Bikram Yoga to sweat a little bit. During the class, the teacher was nice but really bossy "do it this way, the arms, this way, blablabla, harder, you have to push, you have to pull..." I was in a very competitive spirit with my body and I... didn't like it at all!! I missed you, even if you are "just" my teacher on the videos, I prefered so much your way of thinking, your "Find what feels good". I was like "don't care, not coming back, I prefer Adriene".
We are competitive enough the rest of the day to take the yoga practice for ourselves, right? A lot of kisses from France, Sweet Lady!

Same here. I'm from Spain, and I always do yoga with Adrienne, but once I went to a yoga class at a gym/wellness center in my town. During the first downward dog, since the muscles on the back of my legs were still cold and waking up, I started "pedalling it out" like Adrienne says. The instructor immediately told me to stop "no, don't do that, you must stay still, okay?". It threw me off so badly I never went back. I've stayed home with Adrienne ever since 😁

I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Young Onset 3 years ago and I love Yoga with Adriene. I am fairly active and currently still work since I am only 51 years old. I have learned so much about this disease but what I have noticed is there isnt a lot of choices for exercise programs for young onset as there is for seniors. Can Adriene create something along those lines? Some of the major symptoms is rigidity. I am currently doing 30 day yoga challenge. Thanks a million! By the way we were just watching TV and a commercial came on with different people exercising online and my daughter said "I just saw Adriene" (like she knew her ;)

Wow! This video is soooo counter-intuitive!!! My right wrist was painful and I wrote "no wrist pain" in the search engine of your channel. I started the video and I was grumbling at each moove "I said I had wrist pain, Adriene!" But I kept on because practicing with your videos for more than 5 years now had me trust in your knowledge of the body and in your wisdom. But still, I was grumbling and thinking "Look at this, I am going to have more pain after this practice! And the the first time I am finally going to write a comment to Adriene is going to be to complain!!! Damn!!!" And it ends up that my wrist feels far better now than before the practice!!!! THANK YOU ADRIENE!!! I have been thanking you so many times during the tons of practices I followed on your channel and even during my day time, when I remember to breathe and take one step at a time. I am glad to finally write it here. THANK YOUUUUUU SOOOOO MUCH! You're a human-angel, you help me work through my anxiety, my sadness, my once-big-inside-void and now through my wrist pain! Day 6 of August 2020. I missed yesterday because of scheduling and commitments, and honestly usually that is what would stop me from continuing. The organization/planning lover in me LOVES following a calendar, but also gets easily discouraged when I cannot follow it exactly as planned (i.e., I have a hard time skipping a day and just continuing forward the next). I decided that I wasn't going to let that stop me from reaching my goal of 31 days of yoga this month. Instead, I decided to just move on with the next scheduled practice, even though it is a day late, and catch up when I can. Cheers to these YWA practices challenging me physically as well as mentally. Thank you Adriene! See you tomorrow!

I've known in the back of my mind that I haven't been using the hands effectively in weight-bearing poses over the short time I've been practicing with you, so it was a joy to find that you have a video for it. You really have a video for everything!
My plank has never been so strong as it was when I was following along with you today. Thank you Adriene.

That was a challenge and my hands and arms were fatigued BUT now that it is over, they all feel revived. I guess it's like stretching other parts of the body. Thank you for a little wrist love!

Back to yoga after 2 years. My wrists are really shot, and I know it's from long computer use. this felt pretty hard and quite painful but now at the end I can tell it's helped. They aren't cracking upon rotation anymore. I'm going to do this every yoga session until they are stronger. Thank you so much.

wow. this for me is what yoga is all about. focusing on even a small part of the body can affect so much change throughout the rest of the body/mind. most of all, the breath and actions bring awareness to what's real

Thank you for posting this video. I am a flautist and have struggled left wrist pain off & on for a long time. This video was perfect to relax my wrist after an evening of flute practice. And it will help me feel more stable in table top & plank poses during my yoga practice. I must remember to come back to this sequence! Namaste

This is so helpful! Please consider doing a yoga for tight shoulders also! My left shoulder is super tight, so much that it even hurts in child's pose when I stretch my arms out. Would love your tips on how to stretch it out properly.

Okay I’m not usually a commenter, BUT. My right wrist has been super painful for over a week, I couldn’t practice at all because of the sharp shooting pain. I was going to book a doc appt to see if I’d seriously injured it, but I tried this video yesterday. Could barely do any of the exercises, it was so painful - so I figured that didn’t work. Then this morning I noticed that my wrist was less painful and tentatively I decided to try this video again. YOU GUYS. The difference! What is this sorcery, Adrienne? Thank you so much!!!

Morning! I often follow your online tutorials and this morning, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Whatever I need, I can find it on your channel. From specific exercises like here focusing on wrists (ouch!) to more general sequence like the morning sunrise sequence - a search brings up something useful, calming, restorative. It’s always a joy, life-giving, relaxing and useful experience. Content and style really just excellent.
So, once again, huge thanks and please keep going!

I have an ancient wrist injury that flares up occasionally during periods of stress or intense work at the keyboard. I know from experience that returning to this practice strengthens and soothes, helping my body restore itself to feeling balanced and healthy. Last night my wrist pain was so bad it interfered with my sleep. I woke up and ran to this video, I'm relived knowing that already I've found more space and ease in the wrist! Thank you thank you thank you Adriene for making these healing videos and continuing to share them with the world. What a gift! What a blessing!

Hi! i'm a massage therapist and a huge amount of my working day is spent strongly gripping and squeezing my hands into that closed shape you were talking about. I've been noticing pain start to build up even after just one massage but this little video has been absolutely glorious in helping stretch is out and bringing free movement back to my hands. Thank you so much! I will be doing this literally every day to help with my own hand health and to help ensure a long and happy career! xx

Thank you soosososoososooooooo much for this video! I'm a hairstylist & have been trying my hardest to find more intense stretching methods for hands/arms/wrists than what my work has already provided me. This was amazing, I can't wait to add this to my daily routine so my arms don't feel like they're going to fall off after every shift I work! You're the best! Thank you again! ❤️

Since I’ve been doing yoga with Adriene and Benji my response to stressful or upsetting situations has been to take a deep breath (rather than fly off the handle or break down or freak out) and it’s so helpful and - and this point - unconscious that I’m able to navigate stressful situations without them causing too much of an issue. So thank you! 🙏💕

Ahhh I'll feel this tomorrow! I have generally built up my wrist strength and hardly get any pain anymore but this still worked my hands and wrists like I was back at the start of my journey... In a good way. Back to basics. Back to strengthening those building blocks!

Wow, this actually works! I skipped quite a few weeks of any practice due to wrist pain, had enough of exercise deprivation and found this. My hands are actually shaking from tiredness, but wow, I can do a plank and my wrists are fine. You are God's blessing, Adriene, thank you for (all) your work! :)
