My old car the Honda city 4th gen (pre facelift model) is very dear to me, it looks more sporty and from some angles I prefer the looks of my old car, the interior design is nice aswell. The engine in it is very silent when compared to the 5th gen which is already very silent the suspension is on the harder side but it doesn’t mean it’s uncomfortable infact its more planted and Compliant on bouncy surfaces, the steering wheel feels more connected provides more feedback. I sometimes feel the backseat experience of the 4th gen is better. Breaks on both are very nice.

What do you think about the Ground clearance in Slavia, does it hit potholes or breakers like city ? Also it’s rear camera view is not on the clearer side!! But the 1.5 engine is definitely a beast
5th gen city’s clearance is good between the wheelbase, hardly touches any speed breaker. Only the front clearance is an issue in the city. The slavia being higher should obviously not face any issues.
after seeing the slavia in person i found out what i didnt like about this car, it the size of the front grille!! if it would have been smaller it would surely look like a bmw 5 series

@@anmolmiglani9583 great man
Congrats ! How is the performance and mileage of it
@@divyakesavan1953 personally performance is good I have 1.0 tsi manual not 1.5 but it is great as well better than city 5th gen and mileage in city 10-14 and highway 14-20 I have driven 1008 km and mileage is mixed bag but service centers are telling after 2000-3000 km mileage will increase and better mileage in winters as here temperatures at noon is about 45degree Celsius
@@rohanjaiswal3418 Thank you so much! That helps
Unable to come to a decision if should I consider slavia or not as I am looking for a top end varient. But the price should justify the quality in all matters
Slavia. It has 189 mm ground clearance and electronic differential locking system which makes it better than SUV like creta seltos
Slavia is awesome🔥🔥
I was planning to buy a sedan but fed-up with Honda service as I am using WR-V.
Therefore no other option to go with Slavia.
Honda service is too poor in lucknow and expensive also in comparision to Skoda .
None of my complaints were ever attended by Honda in one time.
What do you think about the Ground clearance in Slavia, does it hit potholes or breakers like city ? Also it’s rear camera view is not on the clearer side!! But the 1.5 engine is definitely a beast
gc on slavia....are you joking me
@@naughtyUphillboy didn’t get you if you can shed some light 😊
5th gen city’s clearance is good between the wheelbase, hardly touches any speed breaker. Only the front clearance is an issue in the city. The slavia being higher should obviously not face any issues.
after seeing the slavia in person i found out what i didnt like about this car, it the size of the front grille!! if it would have been smaller it would surely look like a bmw 5 series
Yess , grill's size must be reduced .
Btw its a 16 lac Bmw
Unfortunately due to the lack of TDI in Slavia and not so good i-dtec in City I'll prefer CRDi that is still evident with Verna.
mileage is decent in city as well as slavia petrols
Chup Bey Verna FanBoy....Yaha Sirf Luxurious Ki Baat Ho Rahi Hai
@@Firoz_Khan2407 Sorry man I didn't recognise that they were only considering the luxurious factor among them. Thanks for enlightening me.
Bhai Maine toh city liya hai and I am very much satisfied
Arun: Im choosing between Škoda Slavia top end and Octavia Sportline.. is the difference if around 15 lacs justified?
Go with slavia…i just booked one
Octavia doesn’t feel much of an upgrade and is ridiculously overpriced
Hi. Right now me driving Honda city 4 th gen cvt model and very much fully satisfied. Me want to upgrade now and my budget is 30L. Me want a fully comfortable rear seat for 5 passengers. Pls suggest. And me need a automatic
Save money & buy *Toyota Camry*
Very nice, enjoyed it, sir
I am getting slavia 1.0 MT topend varient ar almost 17 in road. Not sure if it is worth it or not
Slavia prestige 1.0 kesi rahegi ?
Undoubtedly Honda City❤️
To note: he is disappointed by slavia's interior quality compared to old Skoda's, not compared to Honda's.
But Honda City's interior is still better, it has some leather padding and stitching on the dash with wood trim, soft touch and knurled metal knobs, the interior in Slavia is different kinds of plastics, gloss piano black, metallic orange plastic and hard touch white plastics, all of them hard touch and plastic, Skoda in Europe is known for being cheaper Volkswagens
go sit in both cars feel the interiors and you will definitely see how inferior the plastic quality is in the Slavia.
@@fusetestchannel3783 right bro. Today I went to showroom for Slavia. The interior quality is worst compared to City. City's interior is quite premium. I checked all the touch points in both cars. Slavia is not up to the mark in terms of interior quality.
In comparison do include running and maintenance cost also, its very much deciding factor
Nice comparison video.
Honestly you just can’t go wrong
Both are value for money
U should’ve have mentioned service cost also btw
Biased reporting towards City haven't covered a lot of things in skoda.
Looking for a good deal. Let’s see which one get Lucky from olx.
I have a 1L slavia ambition manual
Milage about 13-16 in city; 18-19 on highway
Only bad plastic is the piano black
Instrument cluster is IMO better than the one offered in top variant
Seats are really firm and nice
Driving at high speeds is really planted and comfortable
The fabric seats do not get hot and so I don’t really miss the vent seats
AC performance is not that great
Visibility is an issue for me. Blind spots are huge
Overall a good car
Doesn’t have any gimmicky features and looks minimilistic and mature
I like the overall design of 4th gen city than the 5th gen, but overall the interiors of both are plain ugly to me
None of these cars are performance oriented and give very similar experience
How much km driven? I have ambition auto. In city 10kmpl and highways 11-12 kmpl
@@jenishkanani6928 800+
@@jenishkanani6928 Hi could you please let me know how much mileage you get it in 1.0 Ambition AT. I am planning to book it in two days
Hi Dhruv, by any means is it possible to connect. I am also planning to buy the same car land need to clarify few queries
Honda city hybrid ♥️
i always go for speed so as you said city is known for space not speed but slavia have good high speed stability so it can be a good point for me So Either i can go for skoda slavia or for any other car but if speed with confort is more important for me than obviosly not honda city ✌✌👀
slavia lene ka abhi ho rha hai.. but thoda sa budget push kar ke octavia lene ka kabhi kabhi dilemma ho jaata hai... i just need a car for my sisters for their daily use
Go with slavia
Octavia is ridiculously overpriced
Love Honda city
I have zx 5th gen city. It may seem i am biased, but city is a lovely car with best in class comfort and engine above 4000 rpm
Hi. Did you drive the vehicle on any kaccha road so far? Can you please share your experiences if so?
@@biswadeepdutta5941 i have driven on non existent village roads. You just have to be careful. Not even once did it scrape the underbody. Also, there is enough protection underside if it scrapes somehow. I have taken my car even to extreme locations like tiger hill darjeeling, with 5 adults and fully packed boot,in january this year. Even encountered snow. The car drove beautifully. It never slipped or scraped in such high mountain roads..
Just be careful, city has enough GC. Believe me!
Thank you ☺️
Honda is a class apart
Slavia but mileage problem... Mileage problem kaise solve kare...
Sab kouch mila wila ke salvia top model kitne tak ka pdd jyga sir
18 for 1.0 and 21 for 1.5
Mileage difference??
Skoda Slavia features an ARAI mileage of 18.41kmpl. On the other hand, Honda City features an ARAI mileage of 24.1kmpl.
It would be great if you make the videos in English bro .
Bought Slavia Ambition ❣️
Looks Slavia, Comfort City 👍
skoda slavia 💕
You didn't compare engine & transmission in these two. Big miss.
No one can match the quality and reliability of Honda 🙌🏻
simple
you are enthuasist and want longevity and superb drive quality:Slavia
you are limited in budget not interested in drive quality longevity depends on you:honda city
What's the sense of LOOOOOONG car when we have to compromise on seating comfort...n further only for two adults at the rear...🙄😶
High speed stability and driving dynamics. Do you understand these basic terms?
@@vivs005 no....thanks for making me understand that we buy SEDANS just for the sake of STABILITY n not for comfort n space....🙄🤐
@@vivs005 then why the heck did they gave high GC to this car, having low gc would even increased car stability much more, just blindly supporting German things 😂
@@vivs005 oh fanboy alert, talking about driving dynamics when they frikkin gave it SUV like ground clearance 😂
सिटी पर भरोसा है कियुकी वो पहले से है । slavia ठीक गाड़ी है । भरोसा हे पर उतना नहीं इसलिए में सिटी ले रहा हूँ
If resale and long term reliability is what you're looking for then you'll never go wrong with a Honda.
handles good and faster in 0-100 than slavia 1.0 tsi, both same price range
@@Moonlight-hq3gi how often do you drive that fast though ?
I mean its not like we are having a race or something
@arun kumar well ask the same thing to vw skoda fankids who heavily degraded city for losing a drag race by 1 second
🙏
If you're buying a car and already thinking of how to sell it then god bless.
@@vivs005 if you're a business man then yes, you have to look at all the pros and cons and see how much it'll give you in return when you sell it.
Honda City is a legendary sedan. No other sedans can defeat Honda City.
Great presentation
I'm city owner but i like looks of slavia
City is standard, old people love it ❤
Slavia is sporty, new people or adults love it ❤
city is loved by all
how's slavia sporty when it has a soft suspension and high gc
lot of bodyroll for a skoda/VAG product
@@Moonlight-hq3gi lol, drive the cars first, I have driven both. Slavia is ahead of city in terms of hs stability and driving dynamics. Bodyroll? no. The gc is high but longer wheelbase compensates for it. Fanboying much?
@Barbeque stf and leave if you can't accept facts
i have Driven both
slavia doesn't even come close to rapid dynamics
nor it's better than city also..
it's already proven it has generous amount of bodyroll
it's not me, it's evo india who made posts on slavia handling
🤣🤣🤣
you are the one who's fanboying
pathetic vw skoda fankids
@@vivs005 I had driven both, and shamefully ingress and egress of slavia doesn't feel like sedan at all, and seating position is also not good feel of sedan..
what is the average of city comparitively slavia
Four things if Honda consider they can still stand in front line.1st suspension 2nd ventilation seats and 3rd ground clearance 4th angle of the infotainment system
Yes nobody talking about angle of stereo. It’s so weirdly inclined towards back that’s it’s totally unnecessary and kinda hard for driver to use
Oh thanks got bcz I am a CITY owner 😍
Waiting for hybrid slavia with max 1 lack more on existing.
The plastic materials chosen by Skoda for interiors are really cheap , they should have gone for soft touch materials, making car more expensive by 50 k would have been ok
Aap हट्टे-कट्टे Ho Ya Na Ho ,car ki feature list हट्टी-कट्टी Jarur hai😅
Me: petrol / diesel / cng car
My mind : no
Me: Electric car
My mind : no, not yet
Me: Hybrid car
My mind : he'll yeah, it's perfect 👌
City is way lower than Slavia. How can ingress egress better of City! Have tried both. Seems like incorrect analysis of ingress egress.
Personally skoda good but price wise it's to high and benefits are not upto the mark especially sitting and interiors. Same is the issue with Kushaq.
So Honda City makes more sense. Priced at 17 lacs. Honda City makes more practical sense than Skoda.
Unfortunately, the build quality of the 5th Generation Honda City leaves much to be desired and it's full of rattles though the Honda City's naturally aspirated 1.5 L engine is highly refined unlike the 1.5 L turbo in the Skoda Slavia, though the Slavia also is on offer with a 1 L turbo engine. The Honda City's seating is much more comfortable than the Slavia's. I own a 4th Gen Honda City and have test-driven the Slavia. I would personally prefer the Slavia to the 5th Gen Honda City. The Slavia's build quality is far better.
Yes Externally, it's better. Slavia will for sure develop rattles like Kushaq after sometime.
Not internally, and slavia has yet to prove its reliability
City 2020 units had rattling I believe. Mine is June 21. No rattles whatsoever.
City earlier stock had rattling issues. They resolved it in the later ones.
@@twister59 They still have rattling issues I know because I have 5th generation and it's just 20 days old
Close your eyes and bet on Honda City any day. Honda City legendary ❤
City all day cheaper more refined most reliable.... Next to zero maintance...
