I really enjoy your videos. You’re classy but you don’t come across as judgemental or stuck up like some youtubers with similar channels who think they’re perfect. You seem approachable and outgoing. Merci beaucoup!
I was going through my shoes this morning and came across a pair of red shoes with gold chunky heels and some ballet flats that are leopard print with an orange trim. I totally forgot I had them. I've been sticking with neutral shades for so long, these will be fun to wear!
I love how you embrace colour and show that it can be done stylishly! I've never thought people need to shy away from colour, it's just about discovering what suits you and styling it well! Love you, Marie-Anne, God bless! ❤️
Your joyful and playful spirit is contagious. I always love to watch your videos, Marie-Anne, and as you know, I have followed you for years. I’ve refined my style and have begun buying only what thrills me - and having recently lost my husband of 25 years to a long battle with cancer, I am investing a bit more time in even more carefully curating pieces that bring me joie de vivre with a happy and confident air of disinvolte.
Im in my 30s but Im hungry for classic yet fun with a pinch of trends outfits! Learning so much from you - thank you. I enjoy your videos so much! Could not find anyone with this type of knowledge, sense of humor, relaxed yet elegant demeanor, and style at my age!
Wish I had your desire for classics when I was in my 30s. I was much too daring, dare I say provocative? Embarrassing to think about now, but no one died!
I love your closet - everything is neat, clean and so organised! I’m all for classic and comfort when it comes to shoes. I have more ballet flats than I can rotate in one season, haha.
I’m definitely a shoe lady, I buy a lot of them. So many don’t work out for discomfort reasons, but I keep trying. Nothing updates an outfit like a pair of shoes that are of-the-moment.
I love Mary Janes! I like my shoes to be a bit big so I can wear colored tights, and the strap prevents me from walking out of them, like I would with a pump. The problem is there is such a narrow selection of this type of shoe, and I've had to wear the same shoes for over 10 years. Now that MJs are in style, maybe I can find some new pairs.
Marie-Anne what a stunning collection of shoes you have 🤩you have every occasion covered in style.I am taking note and adding to my wardrobe.Thank you 🥰😘
Your closet organization and shoe collection are so inspiring, Marie-Anne! I particularly love your Clarks boots and wish they still sold that model. I like shoes with a block heel, but the flared out chunky heels and thick platforms that I am seeing everywhere this season are too much for my taste.
I am definitely a shoe gal but I try to keep an edited collection. I have apple red croc embossed loafers with a chunky heel, I have mules in two tone, black leather and leopard print, I have snake print chunky heel loafers in grey, and a pair of court shoes in tortoise shell. I could go on. I don't own any MaryJanes or ballet flats. I haven't found those styles appealing on my feet.
I'm transitioning from being a stay at home mom back into teaching. Really enjoyed watching your video about fashionable and practical footwear trends for this fall.
Beautifully organized closet, Marie-Anne. I've always adored Mary Jane shoes since high school; I'm glad that they are in. Do I have the leopard-spotted heels? Check. Love you in the leopard-spotted blouse! I have a similar one by White House Black Market. Absolutely love the tall black boots and your lumberjack boots with the furry lining and chunky heels: very modern, yet very chic with a sleek outfit. As usual, you look stunning in everything. Bonjour Marie-Ann. I just bought a pair of snake-print booties but I'm very envious of your snakeskin pumps. I've seen you showcase them in several videos now and they are just stunning. I'm slowly upgrading my wardrobe, but some days it seems I sent more things back than I keep. But look out! Tomorrow I'm going shopping! As always, thank you for your wonderful videos!
Love love love shoes! Bright colors! Animal print😍 my zebra pumps with kitten heels keep coming in and out of style! Loafers! ❤❤❤ thanks for the fun video!
Marie-Anne, I had a pair of leopard print, peep-toe 2 inch heel pumps that I LOVED! Broke my heart when my feet got too bad to wear anything with that heigh of a heel. I cried when I had to donate them! Ballet flats are not comfortable for me because of where they hit me on the top of my foot. The most comfortable ballet flats I have are ---- I know you might think this is gauche ---- crocs! Another great video!! Merci!
Bonjour Marie-Anne, I'm a shoeholic 😅 My husband says I have enough shoes to rival Céline Dion - mais ce n'est pas vrai! 😊 I can't wear high heels anymore because of the fractures on my spine that give me pain. But I love chunky heels, they are more comfortable. And I have 2 pairs of ballet flats with a little heel that I bought in Italy. I don't think I'll need to buy any shoes except a short pair of boots. Thank you for this video! 😘
I have always loved Mary Janes! They're my favorite shoe style. When I was a teenager, I had a pair of black Mary Jane flats. I loved them so much that I kept on wearing them when they were well past their prime. Finally, they were worn thin and it was visible. With a heavy heart, I put them in the trash. Mom told me that when she emptied the trash and saw them, she almost took them out because she knew how much I loved them. The kitten heel is my favorite heel style, too. Red? What can I say -- my favorite color. A perfect pair of shoes. I just can't get into the work boot style. Of course, being a petite, I would look ridiculous in that style boot. xo~linda
Linnybee, You are soooo lucky that you had a pair of black Mary Janes as a teen. I begged my parents for a pair of heel Mary Janes, but "No" was always the answer. I could not get enough babysitting gigs in my small village to buy a pair. I salivated for them! Finally, as a working adult, one of my first purchases was--yes, you guessed it--black Mary Jane heels! Love them!
I don't think you're wrong when you called them trendy Janes lol. Omg, I love how you've sorted your closet by colour! I'm so lucky that I really shopped during the pandemic I got some leopard print chunky low block and some faux snake skin cone heel...😍😍😍
I love ballet flats. They're my favorite and I wear them most often (except winter, of course). Our winters (midwest USA) are long, cold, and snowy. Then I wear my next fave...boots!
Marie Anne, your closet is lovely, your shoes are all beautiful, well-cared of. You wear everything so well. It is a joy to watch you. You have let your true bubbly personality shine in your recent videos and I love that!
I have been into statement shoes lately. I now have a pair of snakeskin pumps, some snakeskin flats, and leopard print loafers. I wear them with simple outfits so they are the stars.

Bonjour Mary Anne: I am definitely a shoe lady. I love the chunky heels and I have a pair of new loafers that I can’t wait to wear that are a champagne color and a pair of python loafers for fall. I love the ballet flats and I have a pair of two tone sling back shoes in black and white from Tory Burch that I have had for a long time. You are such an inspiration for this older woman.❤️
Love the Tommy Hilfiger but only after you tried them on.Lesson learnt.Merci.Love your glee evident in your actions and laughter. I'm always gleeful that way when my outfits come together.😉
I love shoes & handbags!! You are such a delight to watch. Your enthusiasm when trying on your clothes is so fun. I find myself doing the same thing in my closet. Thank YOU!!
I have just found you on RUclips and absolutely loved this session. Thanks so much for giving advice to women over 50 as it gives me more confidence to make good wardrobe choices.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I saw your video on Emily in Paris and have started watching the series. Much of the content I would have missed had I not watched your commentary and your video of What Not to Wear in Paris. Thank you.
OMG. I had to watch this show twice. So excited about your shoe collection and the fun attached with it. We know it’s all fun and you are appreciating and enjoying your curation. Thanks for sharing. ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I live in a tiny house with my family so I'm trying to keep to a minimalist wardrobe but these shoes are fabulous! However they are also versatile so one or two I can justify!!
I am liking the trends for shoes a lot more than clothes this autumn, although it’s technically spring here. In the southern Australian climate it’s too warm in autumn to wear boots. It tends to be summer clothes with a blazer or cardigan so ballet flats and Slingbacks are perfect. I wear ballet flats all year round, solid leather ones in winter and perforated leather ones in summer. I do enjoy my ankle boots but they are winter only and I can’t wear knee high boots, it doesn’t get cold enough for those.
I go through footwear very quickly, I do alot of walking and I am terrible for kicking my toes and scraping the fronts. I can't get comfortable ballet flats or similar, rarely wear a proper heel now. I love ankle boots and knee boots. I also have a lovely pair of ecru leather trainers that are super comfortable but again I have scratched the leather 🙄. I love a red shoe or boot ❤️
As an English woman who has lived in Paris & the South of France for 35 yrs (old story, met a Frenchman & fell in love !) I don't need your tips but love your accent, sense of humour & honesty. Bravo ma belle. Btw, I LOVE the furniture in your dressing & yes, "wohoo" (you make me laugh when you say this), I'm a shoe-lady. Nothing like them to jazz up an outfit. Always loved loafers but as I have narrow feet I can't wear them. Do you know of a brand that caters for women like me pls ? Some of my fav brands are Tory Burch, Chie Mihara & Pons Quintana but they also tend to be quite wide. A bientôt xxx
I have a pair of black Mary Jane's with a Louise heel (that is my preferred type of heel). They are a brand new pair of Clarke's shoes and I got them from a charity shop. I think they are very stylish. I intend to wear them to a wedding in October, along with a brand new purple Next dress which I got for £4 in a charity shop. I also love ballet flats and have a few pairs of them.
@@marlajacques6947 Same here! I started shopping at charity shops about 13 years ago, during a time when I needed to cut down on spending. I had always enjoyed buying clothes, usually he Per Una brand from Marks and Spencer. I found that I could get everything I needed at a fraction of the price I usually pay. Plus the money is going to a good cause. The Mary Jane's cost £9 - they were brand new Clarke's shoes.
Of course I love shoes, just like all other clothes. I have already bought four new pair in the last month, even though I can't really wear any of them yet, as it's still well over 100 degrees here and I pretty much have to stick to sandals. But the time will come. 1. Navy blue Mary Janes - Only I didn't know they were called that. I have always loved that style because they remind me of women's shoes from the 1930s which I have always adored. Will wear them with nice trousers and/or jeans. 2. Brown woven slingbacks with a kitten heel. Never did like much of a heel but these will be quite snazzy with jeans or trousers. 3. Adorable flat loafers that are in two mixed tones, light brown and bone color. The two tones look so much like loafers from the '40s, and I love all two toned shoes. They won't arrive here until next month. 4. I have adored your cap toe ballet flats for a long time and have lusted for a pair, but I'm finding it nearly impossible to find a company that offers all their shoes in a narrow width. Maryland Square is the only company that I have found, and no flats like yours. Expensive designer shoes might be had in a narrow, but $150 is the top price I will pay for shoes. Today again I searched and searched for dupes of those Chanel-like flats in a narrow, but no luck. I found a pair of Anne Klein look alikes at Macy's and I ordered them even though they were a medium width. They were so exquisite that I will give them a try. Maybe I can wrap my narrow feet in rags first to keep the shoes on. :D
Block heels around 2-2.5 inches are my favorite heel. Combined with my favorite style, a low, square vamp and squarish toe, any such block heels will end up in my wardrobe! Except maybe for black ones, I always seem to have too many black shoes, considering how little black clothing I actually wear. I’m hoping to find styles like this in navy, and some garments in navy, too, it’s been an elusive color the last few years and I miss it. I love your videos, this one is no exception, keep up the great work, MA, you’re the best classic, but modern, stylist and a sweetie to do all this for us!
Yes I do love shoes as much as you do Marie-Anne especially the Chanel style, in fact I bought a pair of ballet flats ( Chanel style ) only this week looking forward to wearing them. Also love the snake print and loafers hard to choose a favourite. Fabulous fun video love your humour. Hugs from Sydney Australia.xx
Marie-Anne you look wonderful in everything!! Your shoes are gorgeous!! I love the block heels, Loafers, and especially those with the horse-bit detail!! I love the ballet flats, but not completely flat, because of foot pain, especially if I'm doing a lot of walking!
I love the pink Mary Janes you have. I don’t own a pair of mj’s anymore but still love them. I have a pair of low, sling-back snake print shoes that I will pull out this season. I am avoiding the chunky heel though. I know it adds stability but I think it makes my legs look thicker.
Wonderful shoe selection, dear Marie-Anne! As a shoe girl I enjoyed so much this, especially your laughter! Love all your shoes, they are gorgeous! My top favourite has been those black snake skin texture block heel ankle boots from Clarks, every time I saw them in your videos the more I fell in love that I had to get a pair for myself, they are so comfortable and stylish. Love animal prints as well and I also have a snake skin Mary Janes kitten heels from L.K Bennett. Your TH winter ankle boots are a wow! You look fabulous and your cheerful energy is always uplifting. Merci beaucoup for being so inspiring and motivational. Stay blessed, ma chère 🙏🏻 ❤
I love your channel ❤️ Marie-Anne. I am 6ft tall with a large shoe size but love shoes, even high 👠 heels. I have so many pairs. I have all the trends you showed except red and animal prints.....good excuse, I reckon, to go shopping.
What a fun video. Love the red Mary Janes. I have red BCBG pumps with a double strap around the ankle that I love. I do have a pair of Sam Edelman black leather chunk heel pumps with silver studs on the heels only. I love them. I always have a pair or two of snakeskin pumps. The heel boots you showed with fur.is similar to the Sperry Women's Saltwater Heel Leather Duck Boot-I just do not think I would ever wear them. I have to find my leopard spot pumps, I have one with a black leather strap for a wild pair of Mary Janes.
The Chanel-style shoes, sneakers, and snakeskin pumps are always in style. When I think “loafer,” I think a maximum of 1” heel. And to my mind there is a difference between a “chunky” heel such as the flared ones on the pink Mary Janes and a block heel which is more straight up and down. I love my low-cut beige block heel ankle boots but I’m tall, so the calf-high ones look as though I’m growing out of my jeans! And I’m curious: so often the emphasis is on a leg-lengthening look, but the black booties and turned-up hems on the jeans, as well as the straps that cut the leg at the ankle seem to contradict that advice. Am I alone here in the “dark ages”?
Love these videos! I own a pair of skinny legs, always have, & strappy ankle shoes and Mary Janes are my friends. Keep up the posting... you are a big help to this 70+ woman. 😆
I love ballet flats; so glad to hear that ballet shoes and cowboy boots are in style; two of my favorites. I have a “ wow” pair that I bought in Germany; lovely snakeskin print, as well as classic colors.
I love shoes and having the right shoes for each outfit. Fortunately I can still wear heels. I have always liked chunky heels and loafers. Valet flats are too flat for me. I like at least a small flat heel. However I have a narrow foot and narrow shoes are hard to find and not pay several hundred dollars a pair. Most of my shoes don’t fit properly and I can’t always get the style I want. Winter is a little better because I can wear thick socks with boots. I love all your shoes. I do have snake print. They are a nice neutral,
I definitely love all the shoes featured in this video, with the exception of the MARY JANE shoes. I don't know, for some reason I have a love-hate relationship with that style of shoes. But I absolutely adore all your boots caise I love them, even the military one you have looks feminine enough for me to try them out. Thanks for sharing, Marie. C'était génial
When you had your pants tucked into the cowboy boots, I right away thought of the Star Trek uniforms. And then when you did the Spock uniform I almost spit out the tea I was drinking. Thanks- I needed a good laugh today. Great video as always. And I loved those red Mary Janes!
Great vid, as always! I enjoy a well-shaped chunky heel. I know the northern hemisphere is heading into winter & you're likely wearing hose with shoes. My big TIP for comfort for shoes without stockings: a liberal dusting of baby powder inside shoe (shaken all around like flour in a cake tin). It stops a lot of rubbing & stops a bit of the 'sweaty-sticky'. Also (if the leather is not a light colour) a bit of petroleum jelly rubbed inside the shoe at any spot that it might rub - toes, heels - softens & shapes the leather. PS love your 'mad' boots. We all need a pair of these!💞
Ballet shoes are a perpetual favorite for me. I have five pairs, which is more than I have of any other type of shoes. My favorite shoes are the cowboy boots that I've had for almost ten years. I wear them all the time in cooler weather.
I have mostly booties but I have red, magenta, blue, green, yellow, kitty leopard print, besides the regular, black, brown and even a pair of white waterproof chunky boots. Too many, but I wear them all! . I do want some loafers though! I don’t wear heels much as I can’t tolerate them and I have not much opportunity to wear them. Ballet flats are a bit flat. I need a little arch. Like the sling backs. I do like my sneakers. Fun video!
I have some leopard print shoes in my closet that go so well with a number of outfits, they are so stylish that I now rename them classics, Thank you Marie-Ann I love your Joi de vivre merci
I love shoes too! Smart with a heel, with a buckle 😘, snakeskin, lots of boots (not necessarily cowboy boots) but stiletto heel or chunky I have them all 😄 and I love them. But I really dislike Mary Janes and I’m not keen on ballet flats. And I completely agree, quality lasts for years. I have some boots that I’ve had reheeled many times but they’re still beautiful boots. They make me happy to wear them. 😄
I have been coveting your beautiful Hogl pale pinky-nude heeled loafers for years, but couldn’t get them when I first saw them on your channel, they were discontinued. I finally found a similar pair, but they are a light tan, a little darker than my skin color. I can’t wait to wear them this autumn, it’s still too hot for closed-toe shoes where I live.
I love Mary Jane's almost as much as stripes! My favorite pair of shoes are vintage Ann Taylor Mary Jane's that are back tweed with kitten heel. I haven't worn them in years. I think I need to create a French Chic outfit around them. 😊
I love Mary Janes because they don’t slip off! But I became apprehensive when you mentioned that some Mary Janes may “chop off” the legs. I do have short legs, being just 5 feet!
I bought a pair of vintage leather and animal print loafers and scored a win on a pair of vintage Salvatore Ferragamo two tone oxfords. They are in beautiful condition!! I own a pair of beautiful cowboy boots that I’ve had for about 15 years and I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve never worn them. I adore Mary Janes so I’ll be looking for a pair. My only problem is I’ve never been a heel person but with the chunky heel, I might be able to pull it off as long as they aren’t too high lol. Love your videos ☺️
All of them are timeless. You can’t ask for anything else better than those! Great news is that with the autumn we won’t see sandals with socks anymore!😹(may that awful trend rest in peace forever!). I got a pair of adorable canvas white sneakers in París (le Coq) with details in red and blue (to remind me of the 🇫🇷), but they get dirty so easily I barely wear them and that’s a shame! Have a beautiful weekend Marie-Anne!
You're not alone. Chisel-toed shoes are OK, but square-toed shoes always look cut off. And I am short with short legs, so they do nothing for the illusion of longer legs. A big nope for me. I'm looking forward to almond-toed t-bars making a big comeback. Lots of gorgeous boots though!
Your sense of style is non-pareil. Your sense of humor is DELIGHTFUL!
@Emily Evans I echo your words.🥰

Nobody would believe the stuff I’ve gotten from charity shops over the years 😁
@@marlajacques6947 Same here!
Pink is my favorite color. Love...love the pink Mary -Jane junk hills. Thanks
Love your laugh at your Star Trek moment and your excitement as if you're seeing each pair of shoes/boots for the first time. 😀
Yes, in a pale snake skin leather like yours!
Super fun video! Your laughter was the best. Love the shoes, except the Mary Janes☺️
I am so glad you are a shoe lady as well AW - that makes us Shoe Sisters 🤗
I love the shoes' red accent with your leopard print blouse!🧡
I love your channel ❤️ Marie-Anne. I am 6ft tall with a large shoe size but love shoes, even high 👠 heels. I have so many pairs. I have all the trends you showed except red and animal prints.....good excuse, I reckon, to go shopping.
I love your shoe collection. Very lovely for year around. Love from Texas
You are having so much fun. The knee boots are so cute. I have a pair I love.
Love your attitude. Makes me smile.
Just discovered your channel, so great! Since autumn is around the corner, could you please advice us on how to wear/combine scarf with the outfit
I'm not a shoe person but loved watching you enjoy them so much while showing us your collection. 💃🏻👏👏👏
I love Mary Janes, they actually stay on my feet, unlike anything slip on/ballet flat types
I love your shoe selections for fall, you've given me great ideas how to utilize my shoes this fall!
Marie that last dress on you...u go girl. To be tall and slender, or just slender lol. You really look lovely!
Your closet organization is fabulous! I love ballet flats and they love my feet! So much fun! ❤️❤️
We all need a pair of these!💞
Great fall shoes collection! Thanks for sharing Marie-Anne🙏
I’m a shoe lady! It’s amazing how they ramp up your whole look.
Ballet shoes are a perpetual favorite for me. I have five pairs, which is more than I have of any other type of shoes. My favorite shoes are the cowboy boots that I've had for almost ten years. I wear them all the time in cooler weather.
Oh this was so much fun! I love how much you love those furry Tommy Hilfiger boots. After an annoying day this was just what I needed 🙂
Quelle belle collection de chaussures Marie-Anne ! Il faudrait chiner un joli cache pot pour la plante à côté de ce petit canapé adorable
Fun video!
Hi Marie-Anne! The red Mary Janes were so cute on you. I just ordered a pair for my wardrobe too. ☺️
I have some leopard print shoes in my closet that go so well with a number of outfits, they are so stylish that I now rename them classics, Thank you Marie-Ann I love your Joi de vivre merci
Those black ankle boots are gorgeous!🤩
I love shoes too! Smart with a heel, with a buckle 😘, snakeskin, lots of boots (not necessarily cowboy boots) but stiletto heel or chunky I have them all 😄 and I love them. But I really dislike Mary Janes and I’m not keen on ballet flats. And I completely agree, quality lasts for years. I have some boots that I’ve had reheeled many times but they’re still beautiful boots. They make me happy to wear them. 😄
🤣you are so much fun!
Very informative. And you are HILARIOUS. The Star Trek reference 🤣
@@MarieAnneLecoeur 😂
I LOVE kitten heals !! I LOVE YOUR RED STRAPPED MARY JANES!!👠
Not a fan of chunky heels, but I LOVE animal prints! Your red Mary Jane’s with the kitten heel are gorgeous! ❤️
I love Mary Jane's almost as much as stripes! My favorite pair of shoes are vintage Ann Taylor Mary Jane's that are back tweed with kitten heel. I haven't worn them in years. I think I need to create a French Chic outfit around them. 😊
Those Mary Janes sound amazing! I would wear them with a black jumper (dress) and a crisp white shirt underneath and black tights.
@@nataliamiles7109 I like that idea! Thanks to Marie-Anne I'm also invisioning them with jeans, a white shirt & my new black sweater.
@@katiefarr4344 Yes, I can envision that ensemble--so chic!
I seem to be alone in really not liking the square toe trend, but I have many pairs of loafers. I love shoes!
Thanks for the ideas!
Your Tommy Hilfiger boots absolutely slay with the black skinny-jean outfit in the inset. I love your sass. ❤
