    Love fishing nasty weather. Seem to do well on those kind of days. You caught some really nice ones.

      Nasty weather can be very productive on some days, I’m just happy to have caught some fish.

      I did not feel like a beast when I was soaked and wet. Lol

    Hi Joe, been a while since you posted about trout but do you know how the trout bite been lately at Lake Comanche? I live in the Central Valley but was planning a trip up there. Thanks!

      What’s up man, sorry didn’t see this comment till now. Lake Camanche hasn’t started planting yet. I would wait till they stock till I make a trip up there.

    Black and gold , do you use the 1.5 or the 3" cut in half ? Thank you

      I use both, just depends what I have on hand. The 3” cut in half is a bigger profile and weighs more.

    Hey Joe what eye jig heads do you use with the mini jigs?

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  Год назад +1

      I don’t like using any eyes on my jig heads when trout fishing. I know some people like them, I think a natural lead jig head works better.

    Nice, now I gotta get some of those watermelon senkos. Nothing like fresh lassen trout

      The watermelon senko is a good color. Definitely good when the fish are pressured

    I love the videos you put out, lots of great action and great tips. Quick question: I really want to try the jig technique you are using, but if the water is pretty deep, and assuming the fish are deeper, is it okay to put a split shot above the jig? And if so, how high up should I put it? Thanks again for all your uploads!

      Its gunna kill the action of the jig, if you have deep water try a 1/16. It dives 2 feet per second, so if you have 14 feet of water start your jig and retrieve at 6 to 7 seconds. 🤙

      Thanks man. Glad you like the videos. And I have used a heavier jig head up to 1/8 oz before but I prefer using a lighter jig head and letting it sink longer. I’ve also used a split shot but don’t really like it cause it changes the action of the jig.
