  • This is my print in place, Compliant mechanism using, Dial indicator!
    You can use it to level your bed with ease, or as a normal dial indicator!

      How about a pressure sensitive device(Force redustive sensor). Built using Arduino.

      @@SinanAkkoyun If I had the same machine. Mine won't fit that in. I could make an adapter but it was easy for me to do it my way than printing bunch of times 😅

      i bought one years ago but i dont know if the quality was so bad that, as it moves and backs to the same coord without touching anything the values just keep changing....awfull...

    This guys is pure genius. He comes up with amazing ideas and things that you never know you needed, but wondered what you were doing without them after printing them. I also love how he always films with a natural backdrop instead of a boring studio. Truly clever and entrepeneurial.

    The best and most useful 3d print I have ever printed. Solves the most painful part of a dealing with a 3d printer. Very ingenious and clever design. Thumbs up dude. You are a real genius. You deserve subscribers in millions.

    Device you done calls "microcator". These devices in metal are extremely precise. It's quite common to have 3 um division value on such device but this isn't a limit at all. Of course in real devices they use sapphire tips, very robust spring steel for mechanism, strong metall body and so on.

      This is an amazingly cheap way for tramming in a bed. I would have never imagined something like this, not even in my dreams. Nowhere as good as an actual indicator of course but you gotta work with what you've got

    A good way I’ve stumbled across for visualizing bed shape is to just print a large solid 1-2 thin layer print either with a rectilinear or concentric fill. The warps will leave different marks that catch the light differently and look almost like tree bark or a topographical map.

    I want to congratulate you! your design is awesome. I first tried to print it with .30 clearance but was not lucky, then I tested the .40 clearance and it works. I will build a clamp for my Prusa I3 printer

    Holy moly! This definitely will be my first Ender 3 improvement. Currently I have Anet A6 and bed levelling is just A NIGHTMARE. I love machines that bend because of precision. Subscribed and waiting for more, thank you!

    I know one person who makes similar mechanisms. But it prints them also from flexible but not very plastic. There is one wall at the bend, and the rest is thick and 100% full so that it should not bend. But ideally, of course, it is better to have a dualextruder for printing flexible parts from flex.
