Okay... someone has to say it, so here it is.. 😎 Its the FIRST SONG, on the FIRST ALBUM!!! 💯 Hybrid Theory is one of the best structured complete albums of the last 40 years, honestly... And THIS is how it STARTS!!! 💯💯💯😎😎😎
Mark Morton “ cross off the days” featuring Chester Bennington, was his last project before his tragic death. R.I.P. please react to this epic, punch in the face of a song.
It was a hit in Europe more than here. Because the United States single on the radio and mtv was one step closer. But in Europe it was papercut and they made a video for it to.
So I have heard of them. But I never listened to Anything in the "Alternative/Grunge" realm of songs. I was not open to it at all... But I have gone into these songs, recently, with an open mind. Okay, this was good! I will give it another couple listens, before i really like it! 🙂 But I know many people were impacted by them/Chester. I remember watching the news when he passed - it was a big deal. Plus when you do certain reactions - when you feel strongly about a song - we can tell. Hold on to those NOW cds. I can't remember what number they are on, but it is fun to have that group of songs from a moment in time! [I have many cds in my car/ I pop in what ever i am in the mood for. Listen to my playlists when i go on longer ventures]. ☺
Its awesome you have an open mind. Anything they released after their 2007 album Minutes to Midnight is going to be more pop/ softer, more experimental rock for the most part but the first two albums are definitely some energy
I love your reaction to this song. One of my fave LP songs and of all time. I also love how you guys dig more into LP's. Ever watched the vid on yt titled The Misunderstood Genius of Linkin Park. It informs you of some facts LP that not a lot of people know
You guys need to check out Little Feat, one of the most underrated bands of the '70s. They were a critics darling and highly respected by their fellow musicians. In the early days they had a hard time getting booked as openers for established acts because they were notorious for stealing the show. I'd suggest "Skin It Back" from their '74 release Feats Don't Fail Me Now. It's one of the funkiest rock tunes ever recorded and super tight. They've been compared to Steely Dan, but Feat had more soul due to their frontman at the time, Lowell George, who knew how to put heart in a song. Jimmy Page once said in a Rolling Stone interview that Little Feat was his favorite American band.
Even the band said they didn't like the video lol. Regardless, another reason we tend to skip the "meh" videos is because they have a higher chance of being blocked.
R.I.P Chester Bennington! One of the best singers ever in LP! Rest in peace to him. 💖

There is a lot of such music now, the performers are similar to each other, no, it definitely won’t get into my playlist.
