  • This is my experience to the process of adding ccs support to my model 3 which required a retrofit .

    You will need the ECU Gen 4, wire harness and board and of course the ccs adapter.

    Just did mine. No errors or any issues besides that the Tesla service center didn’t want to sell me the ECU because it was a “Restricted part” so I told them to talk to their supervisor and it was given to me eventually. I am guessing I have to wait 24-48 hrs for the Tesla serves to detect i and ccs enabled so I can order the adapter.

      Working perfectly. I've used ccs charging 3 times since doing it and it sure adds a convenience factor.

      Tesla just came out with the CCS1 Combo Adapter retrofit upgrade $450, adapter $175.
