You're welcome, Danielle! Yes, they can be subtle and tricky but very helpful when it comes to vowel alignment and modification in the zona di passaggio! Enjoy! Jeff
I forgot to add I'm auditioning for something soon and it's been at least 10 years since I've sung in public. So... I will look again for more lessons this is great. x
Thanks Jeff, this was really good. I am playing with the Mezzo and the Soprano videos, the Mezzo videos are always comfortable throughout, whereas the soprano videos can be challenging at the top of the range. Do you think that there should be a challenge at the top of the range or would you always stick to what is completely comfortable?
It all depends on your facility with the registration events in your voice. Certainly the secondo passaggio can be challenging, but with time and practice it just becomes a normal part of our overall tessitura. You might check out some of the technique videos on singing over the 'break' (secondo passaggio). That may help with the challenge between mezzo and soprano except in the most extremes of register. Best! Jeff
Im seeing you have so many videos . Thank you Jeff !
I used to sing and took lessons for years...I want to start up again. This was a nice smooth lesson in vowels. Thank you so much :)
It's a really hard work! Loved these exercises. Thanks
