Ohtani should literally win MVP every year. Judge had a great season last year BUT we've already seen guys hit 60+ HRs before. We've never seen a player like Ohtani who continues to make history with his bat and pitching. If you ask me, Babe Ruth couldn't even hold Ohtani's jock strap. Ruth basically played in a men's slow-pitch softball era compared to now.
The Angels are 58-58 in 116 games. Shohei Ohtani has missed just two games.
As Pitcher: 3.17 ERA, ⑩ wins, 165 Ks
As Batter: AVG .306, 40 HR, 83 RBI, 16 SB

This isn't discussed now, but two more starts of shohei ohtani giving up zero earned runs, and it will be a huge deal. You see, his zero earned runs allowed streak has now reached three consecutive starts, and is 20 innings or more. They're going to start talking about it on all the sports shows once he gets the streak up to 30.

Ohtani will be the unanimous MVP, but he can also be a Cy Young winner in the AL, right now Zach Eflin is 12-6 3.34 ERA 129 K batters are hitting .226 Shohei is 10-5 3.17 ERA 165 K and has the lowest batting average to hitters .185

Can’t believe Angels took the series and this was a tough game because of Ohtani this game. We need to win this Friday against the Texas Rangers at Oracle Park 8/11/23 and I’ll be at the next game. Lets see if we can bring home a win this Friday at Oracle Park. Have a safe trip back to San Francisco and see you at the game this Friday.

It was tough as a Giants fan but I really was hoping the Angels could take the series as an Ohtani fan because as long as the Giants come back against the Rangers it's fine but the Angels need every game they can get especially against the winning teams while half of their batting lineup is injured

I understand the need for limiting challenges, *_but you should really get 2 or 3._* The first pitch of the game, and now you have no ability to challenge a blown call that will inevitably happen later. I understand they take 5 mins out of the game, but having just one more wouldn't affect the scarcity and need to apply your challenges sparingly and infrequently.
Feel like Shohei should be awarded more wins just for playing for the angels
On paper this team should be one of the best in the AL, yet they are gonna miss the playoffs again. Very sad for Shohei and Angels fans

Yup we have one of the best offensive teams and a buncha weapons pitching. Just horrible coaching all the way around.
@@gruevlock24 I wouldn't say bunch of weapons for pitching. Ohtani is the only starter pulling his weight there. Angels are 20th in team ERA. Worse if you remove Ohtani. Offense, top 5/6 which is great. Pitching with the exception of Ohtani, is the reason the Angels are a .500 team.

Ohtani may be a perfect individual player but may be not with team. Like a couple, even each is a perfect individual but the question is perfect to each other or not. In Baseball, players compatibility is very important when a team is created because that is the driving force to win and creates fun environment.

Angels players compatibility is at stake. Trout was happy high touch with Drury in back to back home runs, but, not with ohtani.
Rivalry is important to improve individual ability, but, good players' compatibility will drive the team to win. Maybe this is missing in Angels.

basically he was pitching as an opener. hes basically just supposed to pitch the 1st inning because his arm most likely has lower stamina than a regular starter
Kapler shouldn't have challenged the HBP on Shakespearean actor, Rengifo, because he may have need it in later innings. Rengifo didn't show any evidence of pain in his wrist or facial expression and failed challenge was umps defending umps.
