  • I wonder whether it would soothe you to know that perfectionism is one of the commonest subjects people bring up when they write to me, or when I survey our Stitchlings at Foundations Revealed.
"I have unreasonably high expectations for myself, which I can never meet, thus I give up on sewing projects again and again. Lots of crying and giving up has happened..."
I made a video tackling this subject a couple of years ago, but I think it's worth revisiting it and saying more.
What if perfectionism was just a story that you're telling yourself? What if you could close the storybook and put it on a shelf? What would that feel like, and what creative projects would you dive into with all that energy you'd save? Let's talk about that.

Please don't send parcels to Paris - import fees are expensive! You are far too generous. But if you really want to send something larger, or you're in the UK like me, I also have an address here:

Thank you, thank you, to everyone who has sent something to me. It is deeply valuable to read your words in your own handwriting and hold them in my hands. It helps me to connect to who you really are, and what you really need from me. I read, enjoy and treasure every one. Thank you.
