do you play it on PS2 or emulator like pcsx2? If you play it on pcsx2 you might get annoying micro stutters. Try changing the renderer and enable "Sync to Host Refresh Rate" under Emulation

I have played only the PS2 version so i can't say if there are differences

@@TheRetroBumblebee PS2, real hardware :) Even that version has micro stutters and low framerate
