In fact number 2 you said "All 99 human souls and 1 witches soul". Just as a heads up, I'm pretty sure they're Kishin souls-not human ones. Great video nonetheless 👍
Its something the anime did differently than the manga. In the manga there is no such thing as a kishin soul and the students are only allowed to hunt souls on Lord Death's (Shinigami's) list, but they are human souls nonetheless. Give it a read, really good.

Okay so when I was reading The Outsiders I remember freaking out because when in the first chapter Dally was described they pretty much described Soul (despite the eyes)
Basically the book said(And I'm pulling this right out of the first chapter for you guys😂): "He had an elfish face, with high cheekbones and a pointed chin, small sharp animal teeth, and ears like a lynx. His hair was almost white it was so blond, and he didn't like haircuts, or hair oil either, so it fell over his forehead in wisps and kicked out in the back in tufts and curled behind his ears and along the nape of his neck" DOESN'T THAT FREAKING SOUND LIKE SOUL???
The only differences I could detect in the description were his eyes (Dally's) which were icy blue.
Also his personality was somewhat like him were he seems like a trouble maker and gets into fights. But always sticks with his friends and family.
I'm sure some of you are like "Woah omg calm down you just wrote a whole freaking novel" but I just thought it was a somewhat interesting observation I made about/between Soul and Dally. Plus I thought maybe SOME of you would find this interesting.

Recently just gave the anime a shot, Soul quickly became my favorite character. He has a general laid back and "cool" personality but he gets flustered when Blair acts provocatively and cares deeply for his friends. I like how, unlike other weapons and their meisters, Soul doesn't just follow Maka. He advices her and sometimes is the voice of reason when she acts harshly. And of course his devotion as a weapon to his meister is unparalleled, as he switched back into his human form to protect Maka more than once.
Blair is a useless fanservice character.

Soul reminds me a lot of Sal, they both have short messy hair, sharp teeth, red eyes, Soul is seen wearing a suit sometimes and Sal wears a suit. They look similar, but oh there personalities are not alike in the slightest, God those cutscenes in Wadanohara were disturbing as heck.

when he showed a side by side of soul and the character that he believed he resembled, they look nothing alike. you can’t tell me that that doesn’t look exactly like crona but with different colored hair and eyes.
I love Soul as a person in this anime, total voice of reason almost all the time, funny personality, an overall good guy, he’d give his life up for his miester, and he cares for his friends quite a bit. I don’t think there was rlly a moment he had total doubt in Maka or any of his friends abilities and I’m glad because it shows he knows their abilities and potential. He observes and gets to know them. Even though he states he “doesn’t know how to interact with people” after Crona’s defeat, I’d say he interacts with them better than even someone who’s job were to help and interact with people. His powers and personality have a big effect on all of the characters, yet no one ever really got to help him with the pain he went through and I wish we could’ve seen Maka walk him through it as he did for her. They’re partners for life after all, I wish the story would’ve expanded more on him and his problems besides the large scar he got and the black blood. I would’ve liked to see more development from him too.
You definitely want to read the manga for Soul's development! I loved him in the anime so much, but the manga made him become my favourite character ever and he's been my #1 for so many years lol. He gets just one bit of backstory which is more than enough to explain his personality, doubts and also the line that you mentioned. Not to mention his aesthetic changes which perfectly suit his growing maturity as the manga goes on. Absolutely love him!
Facts. He is such a badass for dealing with his inner demons on his own tho, relate to him a lot in that regard

Soul. Also, as someone who hasn't been able to read the manga, I have a question: We know that after a weapon collects all 100 souls they become Death Scythes, but what about the meisters? What happens to them? Do they just look for another partner and became known as that Death Scythe's first meister?

Well like stein he was spirits first partner before maka's mother came in to be spirits second partner. Stein just carried on with life, dissecting and experimenting, maka's mother is traveling the world so I guess that they can make more death scythes they just carry on with life and return to the Dwma when they need to
