I feel so bad for our Ciel, the reason why he always acts so strong willed and fearless is because he is trying to be the person his brother always strived to be
Actually, I believe that the present Ciel has always been strong, but he didn't believe it. It takes strength to be kind and to sacrifice your life like he did, for his brother and for finding out the truth.

He’s acting so fearless and mentally strong because he wanted to be like his brother,which is what gave him the confidence to believe in himself and that he’s indeed a strong person. He felt confident about himself because he was actually acting like his brother,not himself. Because he thought that his brother was a superior being compared to himself.

Also, when Elizabeth is in front of the gravestones mourning the death of the Phantomhives in the Book of the Atlantic, there are four gravestones, instead of the three we would assume.
And that's not the only time. I think it was in the flashback of the Circus arc it showed our-Ciel first returning to the mansion with Sebastian and visit the graves. There are three obvious ones with names of Vincent, Rachel & Ciel. Look at them the three tombstones are different from others in the graveyard. While Ciel's grave was on reader's right side of the parent's graves, there was 4th tombstone on the other side. We can't read anything on it but its design that matched the tombstones of the other three showing they were a set of 4 tombstones of identical design.

In one of the flashbacks in Book of Atlantic, when Ciel uttered his name Sebastian said "You told me not to lie but you seem quite a liar" ...so this is what he means.
Indeed, Sebastian saw right past O!Ciels lie. Also notice how O!Ciel kind of hesitated to say his name is “Earl Ciel Phantomhive”.

Also, when he goes to visit his parents graves in book of the Atlantic it shows four identical gravestones minusing our ciel that leaves three grave stones, one for Rachel, one for Vincent and one for ciels twins. Although it's been confirmed anyway in the manga chapters so I guess this is just another little tidbit

I find it pretty awesome that our Ciel was not only able to become Earl in real Ciel's place, but was also able to achieve his dream of running a toy shop--a.k.a. the humongous Funtom Company--too.

The only thing what bothers me is why no one cared about Ciel’s brother. They found him, and without any question automatically assumed, he is Ciel, and no one asked question about what happened with his twin little brother, where is him, or what happened with THEM. They act as if he never existed.
I remember in one chapter, when our Ciel think that Lizzy and the other wont be happy because he's the one alive rather than real Ciel.

He ordered Sebastian to never lie to him then Sebastian said something about ciel being a liar even though he requested him not to lie. He was calling him a liar because ciel isn’t his real name lol

Yes you do, the manga is excellent! The first half of season 1 of the anime follows it mostly. Stop watching after the curry cook off episode, then watch S3 Book of Circus, Book of Murder OVA, then Book of Atlantic movie and you’ll only be 3 story arcs behind the manga.

Well, in the Luxury Liner arc (Book of Atlantic), Undertaker explained that his bizarre dolls were coming after people because they were searching for a soul to take. So I think the reanimated corpse of R!Ciel has his soul now because when he was around humans (like in the manor) he wasn’t trying to attack them, which suggests that his body does not need a soul anymore because it probably already has one. The question is, how??

It had more to do with the blue cult, they needed blood. When Lizzy showed up after a few days she never returned and was mad when Sebastian went to “save” her and bring her back to O!Ciel. They needed more Sirius blood cause that’s both R!Ciel and O!Ciels blood type. R!Ciel was probably found in time and they started collecting blood from people for him, more likely with the help of undertaker. When the P4 we’re found out the physic dude, can’t remember his name, probably hunted them down and convinced them they would be doing good, since Violet has Sirius blood fortune dude told him what was going on but not even Violet knew who the blood was going to. Fortune dude probably got help from undertaker and with that used the blood they were collecting to heal R!Ciel. When R!Ciel found Lizzy had been going to the parties he probably had them bring her to him. Explaining why she said she wouldn’t return to “that” side, O!Ciels side. Undertaker has still not perfected his Bizzare dolls and R!Ciel acts to human to be one.

Thinking about the fact that only one twin has asthma; when Imposter Ciel has the asthma attack in the Circus Arc Sebastian asks him why Imposter Ciel never told him about his having it and Imposter Ciel never actually gives a direct answer. It's possible that Imposter Ciel never said anything so that his true identity would not be revealed. If Imposter Ciel had told Sebastian he had asthma Sebastian would probably have asked Madam Red about it. She would have realised Imposter Ciel wasn't the real Ciel and Imposter Ciel's cover would have been blown.
Rebecca Dunville They all knew - as Tanaka already stated it when real Ciel come to the mansion. It isn't that big of a deal actually - they saw that he decided to sacrifice himself and lose his identity so Phantomhives won't die. Madam Red still loved them both, so it wouldn't change the story at all. The only issue is that - our Ciel left his brother to death stealing his demon (which he probably didn't do willingly/consciously).
The real Ciel didn’t leave his brother to die. He sat there and watched as his older brother was murdered, with a stab to the stomach, which definitely pierced some organs. He had died. Sebastian submerged from the past Ciel after our Ciel called him. The only real possibilities of the past Ciel being brought back is either from the undertaker or someone making him a demon before he had died. It’s the only things that we can think of. This Ciel really had asthma while the other one didn’t and I haven’t read the manga but I have done my research. Ciel loves his brother very much and he didn’t want to leave him but he knew that in order to be the head of the phantomhives he had to act like his older brother but like another viewer had said our ciel still got his dream of building the toy factory aka The Funtum company
Sebastian already knows he’s not the real Ciel though
This whole twin things falls into place when we notice the inconcistency of the flashbacks that the Ciel we all know have. Like in one flashback he's the one in the cage, sometimes he's the one at the table going to be sacrificed. And I think to fully summon Sebastian, the sacrifice has to die so how can Ciel be the master and not be dead if he was the one at the table. Also there is that scene at the Book of the Atlantic after which Ciel was rescued by Sebastian from the cult, his shirt is free from blood when in his flashbacks from the earlier arcs of the manga or anime, the one being stabbed on the table was himself.
There is also his internal monologue with another him who we assume is just himself from before he made a deal with Sebastian but turns out to be his brother because that is what they do when they werr kidnapped; just communicate with each other and the real Ciel will always comfort the Ciel we all know.

Season 3: 100% Canon, is a direct adaptation of one arc of the manga (like the special Book of Murder and the movie Book of Atlantic, also adaptations of two arcs from the manga)
Sadly there aren't plans for a new season... (also the horrible japanese live-action movie is not canon at all)

My theory is that undertaker successfully brought back the past ciel (older ciel/real ciel) to life, since the book of atlantic thing where there were zombies~ yeah just a guess, and since undertaker was so attached to the Phantomhives he maybe took in past Ciel all these years
There a many people who thinking quite the Same Jun kit, Undertaker improved his Dolls trough the Chapters but another Theorie is that the older Ciel is the Blue Star from the Blood Arc Story
Sarah Grellchen the blue star could still be real ciel in form of his 'dolls' he may be improved from his previous dolls but the blood being drawn in the blood arc is probably how undertaker keeps him alive and it gets rid of his hunger to eat others like the past ones he tried on the cruise ship.
Well anyways even if somehow brought back to life, real Ciel is not "fully" alive for sure, after all Sebastian was summoned at the cost of his soul and what was once traded cannot be retrieved. I think he's still a soulless bizarre doll, but improved by the blood injections of the Blue Star. Actually I would like to know more about where did the Blavat come from, after all he is the one that put the whole Sphere Music Hall in motion. Waiting like this every months kills me
I just hope our Ciel will not be arrested in place of the revived older twin since the Police would automatically suspect our Ciel since they only know him as the Phantomhive family head and after hearing his name from one of the stars of the music hall would think of him.

Later on in the manga during the story of the twins the real ciel (not the one who made the contract) had the phantomhive earl ring. So the kidnappers wouldnt find it, he swallowed it and told his brother to keep the secret of the nice blue candy he swallowed

Elizabeth Arias I’m probably wrong but I think it’s the flashback during the boat arc, right after Undertaker hits Sebastian with the death scythe
I've seen theories that the undertaker is the one who revived the real ciel, but I think that there was another person that helped. If you go back to the music sphare arc, Blavat make reference to a blue star of Sirius, and I believe that "blue star" was the real ciel. Undertaker kept him barely alive while Blavat was getting the blood needed to bring him back.
I thought it was obvious because of what his name means, their blue eyes, Sirius blood, being the Queen’s watchdog/true phantomhive heir etc.

Also, the reason why I think past Ciel is alive is because, didn't Sebastian appear over past Ciel? He could've made a contract with him at the same time with present Ciel. But past Ciel could've went into hidng so present Ciel doesn't find out. ^×^

That one Fangirl I think the name "Astre" is only a popular fan headcanon, but I personally think it's nice. As for whether Real Ciel is alive, he definitely died on the altar. There was simply too much bloodloss, and *POSSIBLE SPOILER* in the newest chapter, Sebastian is even "playing" with his dead body. Obviously no one is quite sure how he came back, but even if he "came back to life" or was reanimated or something, he did die at first.
And the contract is only bound to Our Ciel, since Real Ciel was just a sacrifice, and combined with Our Ciel giving up on God etc. he was the one who unintentionally summoned the demon.

That one Fangirl Yes, Lizzy was originally engaged to past Ciel. Which is probably why present Ciel acts so strange when she shows him affection. And I know it's a popular ship, but Ciel is only 14, and traumatised at that, so that would be very morally wrong for many reasons... Besides that, your friend might want to read the newest chapter lol. If there was ever a doubt about it, I would say it's now been made completely clear in the newest chapter that Sebastian is purely evil and manipulative, and definitely does not see Ciel as anything other than prey or food.
I'm really curious as to what his real name is. I remember that in the manga Diedrich comments on how Rachel picked "very strange names" for the twins. Ciel means Sky in French, perhaps non-Ciel's name is also French?
I also want to learn about what happened to him, how he's still alive (another demon, no doubt), and why did the real Ciel take so long (four years) to finally reveal himself. I've had been feeling really bad vibes from him ever since he was revealed. He did kill Agni afterall.
What's really annoying me right now, though, is how this has suddenly turned into "A Thousand and One Nights", they haven't finished one over complicated Ark, and now they've started another. Zim Vader0017 if it is another demon, I'd laugh if it's Claude from the anime. Which also makes me wonder if Alois was supposed to be past Ciel, driven insane by torture and his life after the cult burned down which can explain his behavior. And Alois did have a younger brother who was killed. I know the actual story of Alois is different, but there seems to be some parallels with Ciel and Alois, especially with Claudes obsession with Ciel and wanting to merge the two boys souls. If Alois was originally supposed to be Past Ciel it kinda makes sense why Claude would want to have both souls, both being completely innocent and pure as well as tormented and tainted. It's either something like this or Both Ciels merged when Sebastian was called, making Ciel have both personalities, just one personality dominated the other until now

Undertaker has been working to prefect his zombie making technique in order to create this new Ciel zombie to, as we've found out, "not lose anymore Phantomhives." The only question now is why? Now, in the Atlantic arc there is a part where Elizabeth reflects on the past where “Ciel” told her that strong women where scary, she then apologized to present Ciel for protecting him and he has no recollection of ever saying that to her.
Another thing..... i am literally watching the Book of Atlantic and in Lizzy's monologue when she's fighting the zombies she has a flashback showing Ciel's grave when it shows an aerial view and there are 4 graves not 3 indicating another member of the family

Yes you do need to read the manga. Ignore seasons 1 & 2. Season 1 diverged in Curry Arc and went all filler. It changed the aged Queen Victoria into a youthful Lolita that appears to same size/age as Ciel. ect. Season 2 is ALL filler and does not have any elements of canonical manga.Season 3 is very good and follows the manga well. The OVAs of Murder Arc and Ship Voyage were done well

Thing is by the 'curry arc', the season 1 of the anime got ahead of the manga so started to make crap up. It suddenly changed the aged Queen Victoria into a young looking Lolita with no explanation of how that happened, esp since the queen is suppose to make public appearances. But yes, part of the filler is that end of season one Ceil has his soul eaten by Sebastian. But then they decided to continue to a season 2 but OPPS anime main star's soul is gone! So they make up some crap excuse to bring Ciel back as a demon but with Sebastian STILL as butler … it was a total clusterfuck that went against canon and went against what was revealed about the demons and the deals made. It made no sense.
Thankfully for Season 3, it follows canon and is considered a fresh slate, a reboot if you will, for the anime. Seasons 1 and 2 have no real bearing on it.

I have never cried so much over a manga before as still images dont really evoke much emotions in me. But I cried when the twins talked about their dreams and real!ciel mentioned about owning a toy company because our!ciel actually made it come true and with all the dark shit going down this just made me emotional. as someone who’s seen the anime both sub and dub I don’t like it because so much of it is filler and I just prefer the manga but book of circus, book of murder, and book of the Atlantic in the anime are actually really good, they’re high quality and are accurate to the manga. I just usually recommend if people want to watch the anime to skip season 2 because it’s just pure filler and it really doesn’t make sense in the timeline and things can get a little bit confusing but yeah, the anime is okay but mostly filler sadly lol

I'm actually really impressed with this video because it actually explains the twin theory. The fact the twin theory became canon actually pissed me off a lot when it was first revealed, because to me the evidence was so weak especially the evidence during the Kelvin scene. I chalked it all up to the different hair being Ciel's hair moving as he moved around Vincent, the reason why Ciel had been so chipper then back to scared was because Vincent told Ciel to talk, but then the pedo face scared Ciel again. I also would always point out that there were still family and friends who were alive and why wouldn't they be questioning where the other Ciel was. This new chapter and your video actually cleared a lot of it up. I'm still not sure how I feel about the twin Ciel theory, personally, but your video made it a lot easier to understand. Great job!

I just don't like how his brother "Ciel" just comes and steal everything. Like our Ciel worked hard for it, killed people, dirtied his hands, got burdened with guilt for sacrificing his brother and everyone he's killed like the innocent children during the circus arc. Then "Ciel" suddenly comes back and claims his hard work. I just don't get why "Ciel" would do that, during the flashbacks they used to be so close, like did Undertaker leave out some memories or told him false information? Sebastian has a real demon form which we have never seen. His current form as "Sebastian" is just a form he currently uses to fulfil the role as being a human butler.
Sebastian is a crow demon, maybe he looks like a crow? Because Sebastian can shape shift and wheres killer heels, I always wondered if he was based on the morrigan (pagan crow goddess) but there is nothing much to back that theory up.

I could see him being Mephistopheles though. As someone who’s studied demonology and angelology, I can say that his personality fits the demon king of Time better than any other Mephistopheles I’ve seen. He is the perfect manipulator, he likes to have everything in order, he goes from having a genuine feel to a hatred, that’s Mephistopheles. Mephistopheles is know for being organized, he will typically haunt places that aren’t organized because he gets angry, he likes numbers, he can mess with time, create illusions, sounds a lot like our man Sebastian. And I think that since yana loves to use real demonological terms, real demons, real beliefs and yes real symbols, I would not put it past her to have him as Mephistopheles.

Now that I remember, there were details from the very beginning of the story in the manga. Yana Toboso really is a mastermind, she’s brilliant. You know how some stories have a distinct, unique tone and thus differ them from most stories? Kuroshitsuji is one of those.
I, like some others, noticed that somewhere in the manga the Undertaker gave some kind of liquid to Ciel when he was sleeping, this was before all of the major twin things happened. Then when we see him in the next panel he is being woken up by Sebastian and he doesn't have the contract symbol in his eye, despite that Sebastian doesn't seem to notice(it comes back later). I think that what the Undertaker gave Ciel could have altered his memory or it is makeing him think his brother is still alive. I know that this has to do with something on how the Undertaker is linked to the Phantomhives, after all, we can't just brush thing off because Yana doesn't make coincidences all things that have been put in the manga are all there for the story.
There was one thing that I found that really got me thinking, in the manga a carriage crashes to its side and Sebastian runs over to help knowing that it is Mrs. Diaz in the carriage. I was thinking why would he go to help her if it wouldn't benefit him, it was to far for Ciel to know what was happening, it did end up benefiting the Funtom company but why would Sebastian go help unless he knew where she was going?

I was so thrown for a loop when Toboso revealed this that I went back and re-read the circus arc and the first time we see the contract with Sebastian formed from the very beginning... then I was like, “she’s been not-so-subtly hinting at this THE WHOLE TIME!!” It was just the way I read it that made me think there was only 1 Ciel, though I did notice those little inconsistencies, I just shrugged them aside. It makes so much more sense now! Toboso-sensei no tensai! (≧∀≦)
Also idk if I’m right but when elizabeth was kiddnaped, the day after she was kiddnaped it was he’s birthday, after all that idk he’s name but the detector at that time he hade invistigated ciel, and he said something about he’s birthday being tomorrow, because after sebastian hade annouced that elizabeth was missing/kiddnaped he said he was tired and wanted to sleep hope I explained this right

It’d be better if the past ciel was just dead. Recently in the manga Ciel’s plan to burn the Aurora Society to the ground is the best probable solution. Im sure, no one wants a living corpse walking around like everything is normal. Elizabeth shouldn’t really support this either. He died, past ciel’s gone. Another thing that confuses me is that when Sebastian was summoned, he said he took Past Ciel’s soul in order to crossover. Then how did Undertaker give past Ciel a soul? Maybe its someone else’s. Thank god Vincent was burned to ashes or the undertaker would’ve tried bringing him back too. This was a lot to process for me too, and I had a long rant.
