    I have a ‘24 Rebel 1100. It is smooth as silk. It’s about 500lbs but it doesn’t feel like it. Plenty of power and very smooth throttle. Sport mode is a little twitchy but manageable. Highly recommend.

    Hey rea! I own the 2025 scout bobber limited without tech. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE mine! The lower center of gravity makes it very agile, there are different modes for riding which is great for beginners, it isnt super heavy, it's comfortable and it's a blast to ride. I highly reccomend the scout bobber limited! Later on down the road, I'll probably add tech. I'm still a newer rider and would prefer less distractions.

    I've owned my Scout Bobber for 5 years and just recently converted it to a Rogue (mini apes, seat, fairing, 19" front wheel). It makes a world of difference for comfort and handling while riding vs the stock bobber set up. If you haven't yet, I'd give the rogue a test ride. Engine on the 1st gen scouts are bulletproof. Also incredibly fast after intake, exhaust, and tune.

    You can totally handle any Scout. Indians are balanced in a way that makes you perceive the bike as being much lighter than it actually is. I would recommend getting a Scout Rogue. Comes from the factory with risers so you avoid that hunched over "C" shape. Bobber is very cool, but super uncomfortable. The Rogue also has a larger diameter, but narrower tire up front. Better ergonomics as well as better handling. Put an intake in her (not easy) and a set of slip ons and the Scout will shock you with torque and speed.
    I would recommend buying used from a private party. Dealership will rip you off with fees. You can usually get a bike with several thousand in mods and a warranty for far less than you can buying a new bike from a Dealer with additional fees.
    Bikes to consider: any of the Indian Scout line of bikes, Low Rider S, Indian Chief, Street Bob, Kawasaki Vulcan S

    • @RidewithRea
      @RidewithRea  3 месяца назад

      Wow thank you so much for this comment!! After seeing other comments with similar statements it seems the Rogue is the way to go. I didn’t realize the Bobber was so uncomfortable for people.

    I bought my first bike last year, its an 2023 Indian Scout Bobber and i think it is perfect for me. The clutch is very gently, the torque is very good to handle and the low position on the bike is just perfect to put both feet solid on the ground. I personally changed a few things, get a Mini Ape Bar and Upsidedown Mirrors and changed the seat to the Indian Comfort Seat, which made a huge different.

Only downside is they seem to depreciate a bit but makes buying a 22 or 23 not super expensive. If you test drive one try it on touring mode then sport. The acceleration is completely different and the sport mode was what sold me on mine coming from a sport bike.

    Heyo, I recently upgraded from my Rebel 500 to an Indian Scout Twenty and I definitely think it’s worth the upgrade. You’ll get a lot more power out of it to really pick and go when you need to while still feeling relatively light like the Rebel. It also has a better build quality feel to it since it’s less plastic and more metal than the Rebels. Honestly the only thing I’d consider getting changed is the stock seat and shocks as neither are very good for dealing with bumpier roads as you’ll feel all of it lol.

    Hey Rea I have a 2007 1200 Sportster Custom (ie a Sportster “bagger” lol ok Harley) Big brother to the 883 you tried
    I have been pleasantly surprised by how well the bike is on the Interstate. I can push past 100 mph and I typically get 50ish mpg regardless of speed. Fuel injection ftw
    Cons are Harleys are high maintenance especially if they are neglected (same can be said about all neglected bike but Harleys are a special kind of way) Mine was and I’ve had to spend 1000s to pull it back into shape.
    The Scout would be an excellent bike for you. They make more power than the 883 but they will have their own maintenance quirks as all bikes will. The Rebel will be familiar to you just more power.
    I’d try the Rebel out and see which one speaks to you more. Just make sure whatever you get you both like and are able to maintain

    Unless you're hard over for a Harley or Indian, I'd suggest looking at a Triumph Street Twin 900. I had a 2018, and my daughter loved riding that bike around the neighborhood (she was a newly licensed rider). It wasn't intimidating for her at all, good seat height, reach to the handlebars, foot control positions, etc. I had the V&H slip-ons, cat-delete, and Booster Plug. It had a good sound, and was even entertaining for me to ride (been riding for 40+ years). My 2018 had fuel-injection, ABS, traction control, slipper clutch, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. I want to like Indian, because Harley went woke, but their bikes are ugly compared to Harley. They may or may not be better built than Harley, but they sure as shit aren't as esthetically appealing.

      Funny, I think all the current Indian motorcycles look better than all the shit Harley is currently offering lol😂. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
