You don't have to care about what she cares about, but you do have to enable her to care about what she cares about, and with your "manly strategic long-term thinking provider" abilities, to actually act on what she cares about. It's more realistic to expect her to just help you get through each day of what you are now than care or help you with long-term strategic plans. If she cares about what you want to be, that is a bonus. And, you don't just "kick her out." It's called "divorce." And it will likely cost you 50% or more of your combined net worth, and a stream of monthly payments from you to her for many years.
