So, who won? Although we do excel at different things, each design has to be worked on by both of us as a collaboration and we both have a final say in what our work looks like when it's published. That is the best way to create great design, by combining our strengths and listening to each other. As we all know, there is no I in team. And, when one of our designs becomes an immediate best seller, we both win! You can see the final result here: shop.arnecarlos.com/product/new-oda-colouring-mittens/
Well Carlos I think you are so diplomatic that Arne will win this one....lol I've used duplicate stitch before to fix mistakes, now I'll use it for this reason ! Thank you for sharing a little of your life with us, have a wonderful week, I'm going to hop over to your blog now and see who won ! Have a wonderful cruise !
More is more. Definitely when it comes to sock yarn. You taught me that, Carlos. Own it! Ha! Ha! Beautiful mittens and a great tutorial encouraging play and experimenting when it comes to our knitting. Thank you. Enjoy the coastal boat and fingers crossed for smooth waters and glorious Aurora.
I love the mittens, saw the finished result and I'd say you both won. However it was changed to yellow. I really appreciate the instructions you give, they are clear. I like also that you don't tell people they have to do it your way, making things is all about the makers vision. As you say the instructions are a guide to help make and add to the finished product. Thank you both again for being so fun and enjoyable to watch and learn from.
Love the mittens and adding the color with the duplicate stitch is a great way to add extra color without struggling with an extra ball of yarn while knitting. Love!y watching you again. You two are a joy to watch and I hope you make the 100 thousand!!!!! Good to see Freja if only her head! Have a wonderful week
I would love to see the inside of the mitten. You both winners! Duplicate stitches are truly a labor of love and also adds extra warmth to the beautiful mittens.
Thank you. Arne, you are so creative. Look forward to you Sunday videos. Carlos, you are so informative. Knowledge is power. Thanks you are a great team.
Love this pattern! It's like a knit coloring book. Also great use for all those little leftover scraps I never know how to use. I'm low key obsessed with the twisted ribbing. And I think Arne wins with the blue blob.
Hey, Arne and Carlos! Arne, your shirt is fabulous, we look like a Norwegian cowboy. And the blue - doesn't matter who wins. You're both winners. Take care and best to you both!!
Love the mitten design, with color added reminds me of stained glass windows. Beautiful! I’ll be doing some duplicate stitch on my first pair of your felted slippers. 😀
Love this idea. It's like having a blank slate...limited only to your imagination. Yes, less is more! Lovely!! Sorry Carlos, I think Arne is going to win!!
The mitten pattern is amazing. I love the stained glass effect with added pops of color. I agree with Carlos about the blue. Also, after the tutorial for the twisted knit stitch I had to cast on a pair of socks using this stitch. I recognized it right away on the mittens. The stitch looks lovely and has become my favorite way to work ribbing.
Hello wonderful Carlos and Arne! I would just love to be a fly on the wall right now to see who wins ha ha ha ha! I like the blue blob. I think they look very nice. Arne you have a great sense of humor.I look forward to going to your blog to see how things turned out. Hope you guys have a fabulous week lots of hugs and love to you he’s safe travels.
Well, it doesn't really matter if the blue stays or not because now you showed us how to do it, we can choose our own colours and make it unique. I also like just the two coloured version. Very nice design.
What a beautiful idea - will look like stained glass indeed. Looking forward to another history lesson. Can't wait to see the finished mitten. You two make my Sunday brighter.
great, thanks for this lovely video, guys! I made several fingerless mittens this winter with Schachenmayr merino 120 and i casted on 40 or 44 stiches - for women size..just to inspire some people to try the female version! :-)
Thanks for the duplicate stitch demo! I’m anxious to make some of your knitted Christmas balls, but I think I will use this stitch to keep my stress level down. However, I will try making one the traditional way! I love your conversation with each other! Puts me in mind of the way my husband and I communicate! 😂
These are gorgeously done, at first I thought the blue lacked contrast at least on my laptop screen, but the final result it works just great. Very beautiful and great instruct!
This is brilliant! What a beautiful way to embellish my knitting! I am inspired to work on some Stained Glass Windows motif design on my garment. Thank you, Arne & Carlos.
Thanks so much for this! You answered a question I had about why different yarns that are knit at the same tension sometimes produce bigger garments.❤️
Another great video, you guys:) Thank you for always being so generous with sharing tips and tricks....not only in knitting, but in crochet, gardening and even cooking! I've been a subscriber since the early days, and it's great to see the growth of your channel:) So close to 100K! Congrats to the whole team👍🏽
Good evening guys I see you hair looks great on both of you this week. I'm sorry I caught up with you so late. The mittens looked fantastic just like an artists picture to paint. Or painting by numbers lol. I think Arne will win. It was very quiet today in the house was Freja sleeping?. I just it on a Sunday evening to watch you guys laugh and joke it makes my day so worth while I always wave bye and blow two kisses. You were both heavenly sent. Lovely pattern, and I hope to see the finished product! My money is on Arne winning this one and the blue staying. Your videos make me so happy, it's become a Sunday ritual for me to listen to you while working on my own knitting.
Hi Guys!!! How are you doing? I think putting some color in the blocks, but not all. Arne had a haircut. Looks nice. I love his shirt too. I think Arne will win , but I agree you Carlos = Less is better. Too much would make it too busy. I can sit and watch you guys all day. I am an immediate knitter, sewer and any needlework. By the way, Carlos what are you working on?
Well, I think Arne is knitting it, so Carlos, zip it. Let him do what he likes. He is an artiste! And truly, it will be beautiful either way! Love you guys from 🇨🇦
That’s not how it works. We are both artists and designers and we both collaborate on all the designs which we publish, regardless of who knits them. There is no I in team.😊
@@ARNECARLOS I love both of you just the same🌹 I love your creativity, your teachings, your sense of humor, and best of all " I love seen you guys together!!!"
I know you kept saying it was like stained glass but just like your title says, I thought immediately of the coloring books for adults that are so popular here, Knit them up and then when you feel stressed, just fill in a black and watch the stress just go away1. Love it.
I love this idea! Yet when I first heard you talking about coloring, I thought you were going to use color fabric markers. I didn't think of colored yarn and using the duplicate stitch. I can see this on a border of a bolero or cardigan. I love it! Thanks you guys for giving me more inspiration and viewing things in a different light.
