Don’t use Citri-Strip. Idk why they say online their product works for bike frames, but i let that bitch sit for almost 12 full hours and it still hardly worked or was hardly worth the time and money it took up. I ended up just going with wet sandpaper and I’ve been sanding my shit for a solid 16 hours probably over the last 4 days or so. Should be painting it today. Have a whole spare set of cranks, a fork, bars, and frame all fully sanded raw. Hahah my fingers are also raw af. And I’m so tired of sanding. But it’ll be worth it soon.
I would recommend 4-5 layers of paint, 3-4 layer of clear, and wet sand between each layer with a high grit sandpaper.
Thanks for this…always great info from Doug. I may need to resurface a gray raw frame…might just sand down and gloss over…we shall see
Prep is everything. Your paint job only looks as good as the effort you put in.
Well, some sandpaper and a quick spray from some leftover Citadel miniature primer had to do.

I kinda wanna give mine a shitty paint job so it won't get stolen 😂
mine has been half sanded for the last year with drips of red paint and fucked up stickers, nobody stole it so far hahsha
