I understand why he explains emotions when playing the piano. As a (very bad) pianist I know the only way to play a song well, is to put your own emotions into them.
I know, I'm tired of people choosing the book just because the movie doesn't follow it perfectly. A lot of times the movies make the story even better by adding stuff the real author didn't think of.

One of the things I like about the rosemary theme, is that to me. It makes me feel almost every emotion. Love, loss sadness happiness. And hope. This song has power, more than that of a congress president or king. If more people listened, we would be in a better place.

It's beautiful because there is pain and joy and very strong emotions so strong that it brought me to tears and who ever create this is a musical genius and understands the way of life through... the way of hearing and seeing the gift of memories.
As a metal musician, this really captures what it's like to create music in general. It's the pinnacle of our emotions and how we express ourselves in the best way possible. I really appreciate this scene and it always gives me chills.

I decide to watch, since the lack of colors like those old movies catches my eye, as well as the high definition images that tells me this is no ordinary black and white old movie, but one with a deep message. The film had no title, so I had no idea on what or where to search or how to share what I just saw. Years later, this movie came back in my memory, so I just search with my only plausible clue: "The Giver". Found out the movie's title, where to watch and what it's based on. This is the impact it had on me. Completely burned in my core memory.
I remember I read and saw the giver (book and movie) when I was in 5th grade now I'm in 7th grade so close go high school , proud I got that far, and I learned to play piano at near the beginning of this new year in 7th grade , I'm still learning since I don't know how to read sheet music that well yet , but I do know a couple of songs , so because I was playing my piano I just started playing random notes because I was bored and I wanted to see if someday I could make my own music with the piano , then I play the notes A , C, E in a specific pattern and it sounded so familiar, I stressed myself to remember were it came from, than I remembered this wonder story and the music , I quickly type in my tablet tutorials for this song and now I'm learning this beautiful piece with such great meaning , I decided I want to see this movie again I want to read the book again it's was just to good to be read/saw only once , So now I'm here 2 years later and since I was in 5th grade I dreamed of someday playing this piece and that "someday" in today and tomorrow and beyond

I saw this when I was seven and at this moment, with all of what they had built up, I realized that life isn't all fun and games. This song made me feel things that I feel no where else. Now that I have a better understanding of the message that it was conveying, it hits hard. And even today, six years later, I still associate this song with everything that I feel. I also get very cuddly affectionate and tear up when I hear it.

this piano is magnificent.. all these people that try to recreate this piece do not do justice. The pianist who did this piece for the movie is a legend with amazing timing... no one seems to understand how to remake it perfectly like this.
