Very true, thanks for the catch. Having played it now, I think crow in one big bomb of purifiers and maybe 2 small units of 5 to helps spread the re-roll hits would be the best play :)
@@tabletoptacticsI’m going to trial two bricks of purifiers for either side and a venerable dreadnought going for centre as it also gives re rolls on hits regardless of being in hallowed ground or not, so as your advancing to the middle you’ll still get the aura from three seperate areas, that’s Gould hopefully draw forces out to enable dreadknights to get behind enemy lines and then scatter forces and get in the heads of the enemy
Maybe it’s just me, but editing-wise would it be possible in future not to move the text off screen while it is still being read? It is so jarring every time and I have to pause/rewind but again it might just be me
Agreed. I had to rewind a few times myself. I wonder if their analytics will also show how many people rewatched the parts with the text still up and/or pausing it there due to this, as well.
They need to give the nemesis daemonhammers back. Heck, they need to give all their wargear options back, but definitely that for bring it down. This detachment at least brings them back some mortal wound options which always used to be how they handled stuff like that.
This seems like a cool change to the army to let them have that extra punch. Also, more of a comment on your Hero Mode, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that Grey Knight heroes fighting off a Horde of Daemons would be amazing! I'm partial to Nurgle myself, but I'm sure any GK vs Daemon Hero Mode game would be super cinematic and awesome to see!

I feel like the CSM hard counter this with deceptor detachment. They try to start with no mans land control via cultists and legionaries and hold it. It’ll be a damn good fight. I’m very excited about this deployment.

Losing truesilver armor, mists and sigil of exigence is really tough to swallow. A lot of the strats here are situational and conditional on dice rolls to even have an effect. The ehancement to add more oc wasnt really needed. The one for damage is ok, but likely going on a fragile unit like strikes… the one for stealth is great. But it is at least worth a shot and looks fun for casual play. Dont think it will be better than index though.

The reason why you aren't killing things in teleport assault is that it gives you mobility but makes it really hard to actually get charges off unless you DON'T use the ability, and most of the GKs are crap at shooting and do all their damage in melee. While it fits thematically, it's terrible design to give abilities that discourage you from doing what your army is actually good at doing, fighting. The teleport detachment on top of that has like no ranged bonuses, and GKs get few anyway these days, yet the playstyle was teleport and shoot. This detachment seems far better cause it's way better at shooting, holds ground better with full attack rerolls, can actually mortal wound (which honestly every GK should be able to still do by SMITING... but I digress), and can let you teleport in for a 6 inch charge, allowing you to take advantage of the high output fighting round and charge abilities like hammerhand.
I really wish they would give grey knights something more lore accurate. Make them a hard counter to psyker/deamon. As a Black Templar player. Im a better grey knight with my abhor the witch than a grey knight. I feel like Grey knights and Deathwatch should have some kind of strat to give anti deamon/xenos respectively
I guess that's one way to make the dreadnought even less used then it already is, give the whole army it's ability with conditions. Maybe they will change its ability? Already not used much so I get it, but now it's really pointless.

Damn, I was curious about how they would do Grey Knights without the teleport focus detachment. This looks rather spicy and nice to see purifiers get some love.
@ yea but you lose much better items in the other detachment. Hitting wasn’t the problem of grey knights. It’s the low strength and AP. You can’t kill high toughness models. Besides that purifier already have anti Infanterie 2+. Why do you need the strat reroll of all wound rolls then? You won’t attack tanks with your purifiers anyway
Only Crowe can join Purifiers. So a champion with stealth works nice on some strike marines or Purgators

Leaning more toward a flamer army for Gray Knights is a bold move. It works well, but GW needs to add a new Champion variant for Purifiers now

Came here to just say that Brotherhood Champs can't join purifiers. Otherwise, I'm excited to try this out.
The reroll wounds will be key for taking down big targets, something GK have struggled with if you're not spamming Dreadknights

Techmarines are gonna be bonkers. Rerolling hits of 1 on Multi Melta servitors that can uppy-downy within 6" is crazy.

They can still teleport, they just lose the advance and fly, which when i played greyknights only used once or twice.

The re-roll hits is pretty brutal. I’ve just played a game with 4 dread knights and a purifier/crow bomb coming to On Demand shortly. They do work!
This is broken. 6 Teleporting dread knights with rerolls will jsut be to much.
