Great video, PREP is 92% of the work! One thing to mention is cutting back branches from shrubs flowers, and trees touching the house. They hold a lot of moisture. Moisture is the major cause for pealing paint. Cheers! The gooseneck guy!

Perfect timing for this video I'm about to start a little ranch home, I can reach it all with the step ladder. Client asked about getting the bottom cement painted, that one foot between the ground and the siding do you ever paint those and what looks good on them color-wise or product wise. We are blending the dark shingles with dark gray gutter and soffit paint and then light gray on the house and then Misty white gray on the trim. I think it would be unusual to paint the cement foundation but then again maybe it would stand out as very unique

Great channel with a lot of good information! I am starting my prep to paint my exterior stucco home in the spring. Do you have a system to estimate how much paint you might use on your jobs? Thanks for the time you take on your channel.

I recently read that painting stucco is bad for the stucco. If you don't have to paint it, don't. I don't have the link to the article.

Sir, you mention that the vinyl window frames can be painted. Any special prep, primer, paint for that process? Thanks! Your videos are great, watch them all the time.

i dont advise to paint vinyl frames. i would attempt with good sanding and oil primer first.

Haha, you said you painted the house 12 years ago and it wasn’t painted since it held up good but then you went to the window and said there’s paint on the window from the previous painter which was you and you missed a hornets nest oh no oh no what’s happening😂

I would never trust the painters to caulk my home. They'll caulk things that are meant to be drainage.

"we painted this those about 10 years ago" and then 5 minutes later "there some paint on the window from the previous painter's" ummmm you were the previous painter Sir!??? Lol

This is why I would never buy a house in America. Builders designed a house to look good long enough to sell. Whoever installed the sprinkler system designed it to spray water on the house (?!?). That is beyond stupid. Why would you install something that destroys your home? Don't even get me started on the cheap cardboard siding. A corner board that meets a brick facade. Those corner boards will need to get replaced every 5 yrs. Good luck when you're old and your body can't do the work and you're on fixed income. These aren't houses. They're shacks. $400k shacks. Awful.
