Also please continue to drop the knowledge each video. The little tips mean a lot, and I'm sure a lot of us sit and hang on every word for your next piece of information!
Great video Scott. Upload whatever and I'll watch it, well almost anything. I enjoy gleaning from your wisdom and also the creative video arrangements.
Now THIS video I can really appreciate! I like the concept of it being more along the lines of a "behind the scenes" type of gig so-to-speak. I'm diggin the way the video showcases how there's different and unique approaches for tournament preparation and the airboat and use of the drone surely delivered in that regard! Pretty cool stuff man! Not EVERY video has to have fish catches. In fact, there's a need for this sort of niche with all of the millions of bass videos out there it really breaks up the RUclips monotony for sure. Since you're always asking what type of videos we'd like to see, I think something like this video here coupled with bringing your lifelong experience and expertise as it pertains to Florida Strain largemouths would be a great topic to focus on. There's a ton of videos out there about bass fishing in Florida, they come a dime a dozen. BUT there's hardly ANY that go into detail about how Florida Strain bass are a very different animal than their Northern cousins. I'd personally LOVE to see you do more videos on (since for instance, you talked about how everything in Florida "looks good" and that's very true) how you dissect each Florida fishery to FIND the bass with all that's out there that looks so good. What to avoid in the process as part of breaking down a Florida lake. What to look for with advanced recon techniques and tricks/tips for finding them that you've learned over the years. All of that AND the absolute killer video would be how to effectively be successful at catching Florida Strain bass during and/or after COLD FRONTS! There's an absolute void for those videos and quite honestly I think you're just the man to fill it and can tell you there's a HUGE following that's just waiting for it to be uploaded! #IfYouBuildItTheyWillCome #ColdFrontFloridaBassFishing #HowToFindBigBassInFlorida #WhenItAllLookSexy #ScottMartinBreaksTheMold
I'm a Florida fisherman and have noticed that the gas bubble areas are void of fish. Except gars and mudfish. Great tip for eliminating water. In my area of central Florida those areas never recovered
I took a once in a lifetime trip to Okeechobee last year in janurary and stayed for 6 days. Fished every single day from daylight to dark. My biggest was a 4.2. Caught tons and tons of 2lbers but could never find anything decent. BUT i was amazed at the wildlife and pure beauty of the place. I have been planning moving my family every since that trip. And btw i fiah LOTS of locval stuff and win a few a year. The big o whooped me though. 80% of the fish are in 20% of that lake has never been a more true statement
PSSssst..........I've been living here in Florida since 1969 & started bass fishing then too, at 7 yrs old. I fish today now more than ever. If ya want perhaps the HOTTEST location for SEVERAL monster bass lakes WITH huge numbers of quality fish from 4 to 8 lbs, and the best odds of double digit fish ( caught frequently ), it's hard to beat East/Central Florida. I live in Melbourne. The Stick Marsh is on fire once again, and there's a brand new reservoir right next to it fully stocked, BOTTOM ENHANCED, and is destined to be the hottest big bass lake in the country within 2 years. All we're waiting for is access via boat ramps & parking there. ( google up "the new Fellsmere reservoir" ) PLUS......there is yet ANOTHER brand new bass fishery nearby that is also destined to be top billing right off the upper St Johns river. They're fishing it right now. Ramps & parking in Palm Bay Florida, just south of Melbourne. I have yet to fish this one. I do so well at the Stick Marsh, I don't even fish anywhere else. We also have gorgeous Blue Cypress lake, and the Miami/Garcia reservoir in the general area. The legendary Kissimmee chain of lakes is only an hour to 90 minute drive away, depending on your starting point. Some of the best priced living/real estate, and you're only an hour or less away from SEVERAL of the best darn trophy bass fishing YEAR ROUND you could ever hope for. TRUST ME. Country/town/city living.........your choice in East/Central Florida. ( Brevard county, Indian River county, Osceola county ) OUR WINTERS ARE MILD & THE VERY BEST TIME FOR CATCHING GIANT BASS.
Really enjoy the substance in all your videos, your explanations and enthusiasm to fish but even better to teach is outstanding. Everyone wants to be a great fishermen but the most important part is learning and teaching. Thanks
I`d love to see more exploring videos of Okeechobee. I was there last spring and it was very frustrating because of record low water levels. Maybe for some of us you can give a monthly or weekly fishing report of the lake? Great videos and just a few ideas of what an average bass fisherman would like to see. Cheers from Ontario ,Canada.
Love the videos. Been watching for awhile. Even the smc and your dads tv shows back before the tube lol. Watching you I put lake okeechopee on the top of my fishing list. Keep up the good videos.
Scott, As much as I enjoy , appreciate and look forward to your videos , I just would like to hear that your still doing your tournaments.I see you're not in the classic this year and am just wondering if your just wanting to put more into the videos and not caring so much about the tourney's. I for one always looked forward to seeing you in them and always cheered for you to do well in them. You are one of my favorite personalities on you tube as well in the tournaments. All this being said , may you be Blessed with success in anything you do. signed , A fan. God Bless
Scott. We fished the Big O last week. Cold weather put a hurt on us. But we will be back next year. We stayed at your dads place. Awesome deal. Look for catching up to you next year.
Hey Scott I’d like to see a video where you stop at a spot in the bass boat and then say what you saw on the depth finder or why it is you stopped there. Thanks and love the videos.
Love the videos. I like the change ups keeps things fresh. I'd like to see equipment care like how you clean your rods and reels or your baits. Even bait mods like to jerk baits or crank baits. ps going to be spending 5 days on Kentucky Lake this June the TN side. would love some tips for Smallmouths never caught smallmouths before and would love to hook into a 3lb smally. Keep up the good work and good luck this year with the tour..
I'd love for you to link up with Tactical Bassin for a big bass edition. You give away pro secrets, and so do they. It would be great to see you guys together.
Thanks for the info, its so true, I'm overwhelmed with how fishy okochobee looks every time I get out there!! Yes keep up with teaching vids please and thank you!!
Great video Scott. Have seen a bunch already. Enjoy the informational ones even more. When you talk about hard bottom vs soft. Does it have to be rocks for it to be considered hard bottom only? Also, any tips on running the lake when water gets lower? Do you need a Jackplate? Etc. Love what you're doing keep it up! Thanks!
You should have made a few casts in the gassy cove. Big ol' swamp gas bass lives out there and might've surprised you haha. 15 pounder with raggedy fins and things.
Great Video I hope I get Paired with u next week I’m fishing the FLW as a coangler, good luck to u next week by the way ur do to get a big win on the Big O!!!
With an area with soft bottom, you said "next year it could be hard bottom".....does it have to dry up to make the bottom hard again? Very cool video, it's always good to see videos with a different prospective on bass fishing and how to eliminate water, especially in Florida lakes, is something that isn't covered enough IMO.
I love watching your videos! I learn alot from them! I live in middle georgia fishing mostly the ocmulgee and flint rivers and would love some tips on how to get somw good river bass!
I saw a video yesterday about a tournament that a boat wrecked his partner was found but not the operator how long ago was this and was the other guy found
I've seen your Dad fishing there using balloons and shiners, my question is Scott do you use that method ? More air boats in fact my wife an I have thought about going there to ride one to see the big lake.
Scott I need to come to Florida and fish with you its 9 degrees here in Mississippi hard to fish in lol also good luck buddy this year on the flw tour your buddy Jordan
