We were just there a week ago. Stayed in a remodeled condo. It was beautiful. Spent more time in the pool and tiki hut than fishing because of the rain but had a great time. Your daughter is doing an amazing job!
Your dodda is the best, and great job to the Martin family. I’m glad you posted this and I had no idea that the Roland Martin Marina is such an epic compound. My son is 10 and he’s been fishing since he could hold a fishing rod and I want to take him down there for shiner fishing for big largies. I’m from the northeast and winter is cold up here so a pre-spawn trip might be perfect.
WOW. What an awesome change. This Old Man from Washington NC fished there in the early 80s. Scott was my guide and can't remember last name. There was nothing available for my late wife to do. She sat in the car in a shady spot and read🤣. Great Memory 👍. 🧔💝
As a 10 year old kid i watched you on TV catching BIG bass out of Lake Okeechobee and have wanted to go there ever since. I finally made it down there from Pennsylvania about 9 years ago and we go every year. We fished with guides out of the resort and loved it. I brought my wife a few years ago to see if she liked the area. Lucky for me she did. The condo that we rented through the resort every year was for sale and we bought it and rent it out through the resort. A dream come true! The staff at the marina, resort, and Tiki bar are amazing. The food is excellent and the breakfast sandwiches at the Galley Kitchen on the homemade biscuits are out of this world, makes me want to drive 1200 miles to get one. The marina has great service for my boat and a huge lure selection. I hope to meet you one day. I have seen you a few times but you seemed busy and didn’t want to bother you. Maybe one of these days. Stay well Roland!
Awesome place, Roland. You've earned everything you have, and this place is amazing. I've been watching you fish tournaments as long as i can remember. Okeechobee is on my list next year. My wife and i are going to spend a couple of months in Vero Beach early in the year.
Just curious…are all those guides actually coast guard licensed captains? I don’t know the law in Florida or whether you have to actually be a captain to be a guide. But where I live there are guides who call themselves Captain that have never taken the coast guard exam. That exam is tough so I have a lot of respect for anyone that passes it.
All the guides working out of the marina are certified coast guard captains. I’m a coast guard captain as well. My first license was a 6 pack charter license in 1968, then over the years I’ve upgraded and now I have the 100 ton certification!
She is absolutely beautiful!
Can’t beat a Family owned business my hats 🎩 off 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

That’s impressive! Takes a lot of hard work and time on the water.
