It warms my heart that a man like your dad who taught millions of us to fish still loves just fishing with the family. Love the channel!
Scott, the fact that your dad is 77 and still able to get out there and rip some lips with you is a blessing. He reminds me of my grandpa who is the same age, he wouldn't take no for an answer if I told him to keep his old self in the boat while I pushed, he would still jump in and helped! It's truly a blessing for them to be doing this at 77 years old, I know way too many people whose grandparents or parents have passed well before 77 or become stuck inside or in bed. Happy birthday Roland!

Seeing Roland talking to the camera after catching a fish gives me flashbacks to when I was a kid. If Roland was on TV everyone would sit down and no talking.

Awesome!! 3 generations of Martins fishing together and having a great time. Roland is doing well for himself to be as active and energetic as he is for 77 years old. It just shows everyone that you are never to old to get out and enjoy life and spend time with your family. Thank you guys for the great uplifting content. There is so much negative in the world today, however it is so nice to watch something uplifting and family oriented. Thanks again!!

Scott, your dads birthday is exactly 10 days before my dads. 😃 I am so happy that you guys hang out and still fish together. I really enjoy the father son fishing videos. While watching this video, I decided to look up your dad on the Bassmasters website and I am just floored by his accomplishments! Hey Scott I dig the fact your still fishing with your pops, that's what I call my dad and he's the same age as yours. No matter how old we get it makes it that much more special that we can still take our pops.
i have been watching your dad for over 30 years, and watched you grow up and was shocked when you decided to bass fish , i saw the episode where roland said you were going to do saltwater and be a captain, i did that myself for a while, you made a great decision, there is no money in it with strict bag limit laws, alot more money in bass fishing, and even better you had a world class teacher , keep up the family tradition , you guys are the royalty of bass fishing, no you may not be kvd, but your are right up there with him in your skill level,, so hats off to you and your family and great instructional videos!

Roland is so automatically on que in front of any camera it's kind of funny but impressive of course, if at all the camera is pointed in his direction and it seems there might be a quiet moment he fires it up "hey were on this up current making long cast in these deeper holes) hahaha, he has done this a bunch in other scotts videos, he is like an old soldier who can't help it, man he has lived such a life. I gotta say Scott is of today's fisher's my favorite angler.
