Lyrics:
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,oh
You were only waiting for this moment to arise, oh
You were only waiting for this moment to arise - Видеоклипы

I feel bad for Paul
His friends have passed on and now he continues to sing with out them and every song reminds him of them and the things that they used to do together when they were younger. He's amazing and I don't know how he does it
Sonny ringos Still alive and I'm sure not all of his friends are dead but I'm sure he must feel some strong nostalgia :(
When someone dies, they die for you, and everyone they care for. That’s why he lives for them.
George and ringo is still rockin dude. maybe some of his friend
Benjamin Joseph Delmo yeah... about George... uh... he dead. For about 18 years actually.
Oh my bad, I forgot George passed away already. let's just change it into John Duff Lowe or Colin Hanton ;)
Many people don’t know what this song is actually about. He wrote it in dedication to black women in the civil right era. Its such a beautiful and respectful song. He’s truly a national treasure
He stole it*
@LukeSeeleygamertagisV3XChintzy, what do you mean he stole it? The song was written by Paul and was stuck on the Beatles White Album. He didn't steal a song which he wrote himself
Yup, It's about the Little Rock Nine in Little Rock, Arkansas
@@casualjoe1264 check out "blackbird singing" by Rosalyn Sweat
Check out the song "Blackbird Singing" by Rosalyn Sweat, it came out a year before the beatles version...
The world is rarely graced with someone of such pure genius.
I'd be honored if some Beatles fans would take a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal YT performances of BLACKBIRD ruclips.net/video/xFStWfgWXe0/видео.html and PENNY LANE in tribute to 2 of the many genius compositions written by Sir Paul McCartney. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Peace and everybody stay safe.
So true.
Then there was John
Absolutely, John was a great loss to the world.
i just cannot imagine a world without mcartney's influence in it. like we'd know no difference but Id know something is missing
I love the simplicity of this song, just a guitar and vocals
It makes it's point simply and quite effectively.
This song was written when he seen a black woman in the Us get beat up due to segregation and the social injustice of black people … have a look it’s on Google

He looks so lonely
RIP John
RIP George
What about ringo?

People clapping out of time and he doesn't lose his rhythm... A true artist...
I thought the same thing. It's not easy, I mean their applause is wonderful, but you're thinking, um, please let me keep my guitar going. :) I don't know if they have mics that help them tune out to the crowd somewhat to reflect their own singing, I think it's something like this. That, and of course, ages of practice. :)
@@loveheals4155 naw, their applause isn't wonderful. They aren't the show....just sit there and enjoy the musician....he doesn't need help.
@@Beardsandbars It's wonderful that they love hearing him singing. They were excited, I understand, it's pretty quiet for that many people. Still, frustrating. :) Have to love your fans, though.

It might be acoustics. It takes time for sound to travel.
This man is so special that the entire Earth will shed a tear upon his passing. There is no one like him. Rock On Forever Paul.
I dread the day when he is no longer with us.
I know, right? I'll cry like a baby....💔

+Mexer's Music, it began to drive me a little bonkers. Most often, crowd's can not keep time well.
+Don S. because they are surrounded by thousands of other people clapping. If orchestras didnt have conductors, they would all go out of time aswell. It is difficult to keep time when other people around you are making noise.
ayup :) Often one sees a band's lead singer that does not have their hands involved try to direct in such a fashion. I can imagine them thinking, "ugh ...This... Is ... The... BEAT!... Yer... Messin... Up... Me... Mates!"
+Danny Pearce his guitar is the conductor lol they're supposed to clap with Paul not with the random guy next to them
All the comments: It’s so sad that he’s the only Beatle left😥
Ringo Starr, very much alive: 👁👄👁

Ringo is by far the worst beatle
I sang this song to my father on his death bed. That was 9 years ago. He started to Heath very hard and I guess they call that the death rattle. As soon as I started singing he stopped the rattle. He wasn’t talking but was still with me. It gave him comfort and allowed my brother and mom to make it to the hospital. It was the four of us in there like it had always been. He gently passed a few minutes after My mom and brother arrived. It was very peaceful. I didn’t even cry until it set in that he had just passed. He was a great man and was my best friend. Still miss him every day. But I know he’s out there flying free.
That's beautiful. Your dad must've loved music. What a wonderful gift you gave your dad at the time of his passing from this life. That will be a treasured memory for you all your life. How wonderful that Sir Paul McCartney had a part to play in creatingthat memory!
Wishing you strength and peace.

A beautiful story. I FEEL you! May your dad rest in peace ❤️🩹
Only Paul McCartney can make a very simple acoustic arrangement so beautiful!!! Thanks for posting this.
Hello Bill Joyce, do you know the interpretation by "Blackbirds" of Mimi? Here, for once, she sings without her sister Josy.ruclips.net/video/IFWRTpPgRvk/видео.html
It's not so simple my friend the guitar work is brilliant,
@@TonyBurke100 hey Tony, agreed, but it is just 3rds and 5ths and it is very “tricky” to get it down. I can play it, it took me a long time to get it. G-b-g..lick sounding like McCartney and most likely never will.
The man was great. If you haven’t seen McCartney 321 check it out, its an insight into his work, life etc. real good.
Cheers
Bill
That should state NOT sounding like McCartney
Yeah, about the clapping - in a huge venue like this the speed of sound makes it sound like the audience is clapping out of step - but to their ears they are perfectly in sync with the (delayed) sound....add that same delay from the clapping audience to the on-stage mic and you have quite a difference.
Smart
Exactly right.
Its actually happens in a hall stadium like a rectangle room. If the performer is in the far side of the room the soind is little delayed on the far end. I actually experienced it with our Christian event. The speaker tells a joke and the laughter from far end is delayed
then it's the guy who mixed the recording who should have aligned the clapping with the guitar...
A Man they more or less clap at the same time so yes you can grab the soundwave and align it with the guitar. I do that kind of stuff everyday while mixing music or editing videos. Hey thanks for calling me sausage! I can see you're a good person 👌
If that was the only song Paul ever wrote it would be a masterpiece.
poindexter van halen It IS a masterpiece. :)

Came from Queen B's page oh wow this is my first time listening to it
My daughter was born at 24weeks weighing 1lb 5oz and the NICU nurses would play this song every day for her . She is now 29 years old and amazing ♥️
I played this for a student who has been labelled ‘mildly intellectually delayed’, he said, ‘I feel like my heart is growing.’ I’d say he’s smarter than most of us.
The power of music
As an autistic person, "intellectual delays" so often mean that we're just smart in different ways than most people. Maybe music is something special for him!
@@yeepyorp agreed. My GF is autistic, & it's almost all social situations that trip her up. She's a wonderful poet & whipsmart.
Wow…no big production. Just a guy with an acoustic guitar singing a song he wrote. Such an amazing, intimate moment to see a guy who’s played on the world’s biggest stages with the world’s best rock band performing as if he’s sitting in your living room, saying, “ Hey, here’s a song I’ve been working on. This one of the most beautiful song in the entire world. Love it.
Just came across this song as I looked for an appropriate tune for our Middle School closing ceremony. Its perfect and its full of meaning. PM has been a force for this world. Carry on!
I was lucky to have come of age in the 60's when the Beatles first became famous. I remember my mother bringing me home the first Beatle's album! Now, Beatle's songs transport me back to a thrilling time in history: bellbottoms, beads, long hair, the peace sign...and hope. I no longer have that naive hope...but that's another subject.
I’ll have hope for you my friend.
there was only naive hope in the 60s also.
I’ve always loved this song! But I was this old when I found out it was about the civil rights movement 1957 “Little Rock Nine”. When 9 African American students attempted to enroll in a segregated school in Arkansas. It was his inspiration. ❤beautiful.
its scary how relevant this song is like 50 YEARS LATER!!!!!!
Dad used to sing and play this song all throughout my life growing up. I'm 28 now. I lost him last year and made sure to play it at his funeral. Tear up so much everytime I hear hear it.
Dads
I am French speaking I do not understand English much, however I like the music of the beatles and when I was a teenager when I learned to play the guitar it was on the music of the beatles ...my English was very bad but somewhere I could feel the vibrations in my heart thanks to their music ....
Despite his age, Paul is still a music fan he could sit on his millions and enjoy it but his pleasure in living is to share his music with us and make it known to future generations
It’s so sad to see him up there without John :(

Blackbird has and will always be a special song for me. Cause it sounds like a cry but a happy cry. Like something beautiful just happened infront of you
It's actually about the sixties US civil rights movement, inspired by black schoolgirls he saw on TV trying to get into school at Little Rock. In sixties Liverpool a "bird" was a girl but I don't suppose he'd ever admit nowadays to anything so obviously un-PC!
Me too. It was the first song I learned to play om my guitar.

This song is my favorite song on the White Album as well as Dear Prudence.
Voice is still great and a super performer ignoring an audience who cannot seem to keep time with the music. Love the song.

He has inspired me to get my guitar out too. I'll never play before huge audiences like he does. . . But, if you watch his interviews, he consistently says that he would still play - even if no one came to his concerts anymore. He just LOVES music. That's a great motive, I gotta admit. That's a really pure motive, actually. It inspired me, anyway.

I have been learning this song recently at age 67 as part of a 'bucket list'. As a life long devotee of the so-called "popular song", I don't think I can think of a more inspired Beatles' song .... so simple a thought ... and yet so profound and poetic (if Wordsworth could sing, he might have come up with such an idea!). Above all - a rarity in pop music - a song that's not "all about me" ... who knew?
