Started my first Tier 1 Help Desk job March 2024 in Michigan. My starting pay is $26.44. Most of the Tier 1 jobs I also applied for in Michigan were starting people off around 17-20 per hour. I was lucky enough to have had most of my applications denied from the lower paying jobs. I would of taken any of them because i was desperate for a job. With time and patience, I found my current job. I was probably the least qualified person out of the 15 people who interviewed. I had no degree and only had the CompTIA A+ Cert.
level 2 help desk here too! makin $26. but I'm in a real expensive place to live so it doesn't go as far as it probably should. I'm just doing this til i can move into cyber security though. bout to take the comptia securty+ also teaching myself python and dabbling in analytics. Definitely tryna move up up up. I got's kids an a mother to take care of. Just wanna make enough to be comfortable and have the ability to do my art as well. May get going on this whole RUclips thing. Show people some things I'm working on. dunno. love the video!! 💜💚🖤💯💯💯
It's regional too. Mid west it's definitely around 16 for entry. But what you said, get your foot in th3 door. 6 months with some experience and certs.. around 30
I’m about to start a level 1 desk tech job at an army base in Hawaii and it starts at $29. And I support your statement on how your salary increases on your skills that you gain working for the company. Cause that’s on point. 💯💯 And the part you forgot your train of thought cause same bruh 😂😂😂

I don't know about NYC but where i live it really depends on who you work for. But from what I've found online for NYC it looks like around $23-$26 an hour. maybe more, maybe less. I'd just try looking for jobs you want to do and reach out to them and ask if they don't post it.
