Hi Shane I've been watching your videos for a long time. I really love your content and your efforts. I have a request for you can you please please please make a video on true entry-level digital marketing specialist jobs (remote) or which companies are hiring for entry-level digital marketing specialist position?? I'm Priya Gupta from India. I've completed Google Digital Marketing and E-commerce Professional Program on Coursera.
This guy is a big scammer!! All he wants is views. He blocked me on ig for telling him that “online writing jobs” that he has on the description is fake and a scam. 📢📢👎👎👎👎 People please be aware and alert 🚨
I'm working remote in marketing analytics making a base salary of $95k at 27 years old. Don't give up people! I applied to over 400 jobs and went through 30 interviews before I landed a single job.
The bottom line is guys work on a skill that you can master and make yourself invaluable. There are no quick money making remote jobs. Maybe for people that already have the skill set & experience in a particular field. Become a coder, an EA, salesperson. Continually work on a skill set 1-2hrs per day the sell the hell out of yourself and you may get an ok paying remote job
I am from Miami United State🇺🇸, The difference Mrs Lucy Mary Liam makes in my life is second to none it's definitely a life changing kindness. I really appreciate her effort in my life.
Seeing my broker talked on RUclips, This was exactly how I got the recommendation about her for the past years. Hit $200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with $20k in July 2024
Her good strategies of making large amount weekly profits for her clients are totally outstanding. Investing my $1500 with doubt and withdrawing $12,300 with happiness. I ❤️ you Lucy.
As a Brazilian, I tried almost all of those 17 websites. Most of them only hire from North America, Mexico, Phillipines, and a very limited number of countries.
Yeah, this guy made a video purely to promote his courses. Most of the sites he mentioned are practically useless, and some don’t even offer remote jobs as he claims. His research is shallow and poorly executed-it’s obvious he’s more focused on selling his courses than providing value.
Apple no longer hires directly for At Home Advisor and majority never see $32 an hour unless you are a senior advisor and have worked your way to that income. Most new senior advisors that had to at least work 1 year towards that promotion only make $22 or so nationwide. Maybe $25-27.
Hey this is actually the wife again I gotta say thanks Shane thus is really helpful and I hope u keep it up we really need help like this when your looking for work u don't have time to do the research your doing and after applying to hundreds of jobs you get tired it's exhausting so having help like this really really helps I hope when I check this out it's not another dead end u couldn't imagine how ego killing it can be to find out u were just used for views😢
BEWARE: The thing about many companies that are always hiring "homeworkers" is that they tend to suck as employers. Few people stick around, so they constantly have spots to fill.
I finished a stint with Enterprise just this week and I can honestly say I have never been lied to or had a position misrepresented as much as I experienced with this company. I am not certain about the workings of the upper levels but the call center and Recovery Specialist employees are basically exploited by management. Their business model seems to be continuously hiring new employees to keep down their labor costs. Beware.
@@ashwinnmyburgh9364 Great input. In my comment/response i said the following: "Thank you for the great info and research. What is missing in ALL these videos ABOUT companies hiring is the creator, or members of their team actually going thru the hiring process AND doing the work. OR, working with a viewer who HAS done that AND how it went, what the work is like, what the company is like - the culture and managements tactics and strategies of dealing with the employee(s). These videos are idealistic, we need a more REALISTIC aspect of these remote jobs and dealing with the actual hiring managers and process, etc. Just MHO" Did you go to any type of forum to read what others experience in a particular role/company. Only saying what you've read VS. the actual experience is what Most ALL YB creators talk about. IF you didn't do it, what qualifies you to talk about it? Where are they getting their info? FROM the HR marketing of the company (now called a job posting) or someone else's perspective. IR reading from a script comprised of online research rather than actual experience.
I have applied/worked for several of these companies and one thing that I didn't hear you mention is that almost all of them require you to have a hardwired internet connection. They don't feel that wifi is reliable enough, so make sure you have an ethernet card in your computer. Ethernet cables are relatively cheap, but make sure you get the good ones for better data flow. Also, most of the transcription ones require certain programs and sometimes special equipment that you can purchase independently or from them, so keep that in mind.
The irony is that modern routers and wifi is better than old ethernet cables.. so many people will buy an older cable in order to get a longer cable for the same money, and the result might not even be worth it lol.
Most of these opportunities only apply to the USA, they claim to be remote (true) but, according to Apple for example, you have to be in the USA for their E-Verify programme by law. Another example was Liveops, need to be in the USA, again. Kind of annoying but gotta keep digging finding the opportunity to work from any location. I am almost giving up with life at 46.
I started watching your videos last night and they are great. You have done great research on all these companies that you are showing as work at home jobs and remote. you and your team are great! I appreciate you and your team for doing this as it gives us all an idea of what to actually look for. I am out of work right now, I lost my job. I’ve done contract work since 2014 and there’s not a job on the horizon. So I’m looking for a remote job or something I can do. I’m very good I show up and I do the job and I never quit, I’ve done administrative work and all types of other things. Thank you for everything you’ve done! 🎉🎉🎉

Word of advice for would-be transcribers -- I've been transcribing for over 20 years and at .60 per audio minute you won't make near enough to compensate for the actual amount of time you transcribe. For example, three minutes of audio with multiple speakers can easily take several minutes just to transcribe (nightmare scenarios -- 20 minutes, at least, just to transcribe a few minutes of audio). Save yourself precious time and carefully look at what they are actually asking you to transcribe before committing to the job.
I don't mind working for an incoming call centre with a salary or wage, but I'm not a fan of commission based earnings in sales or begging companies like charities or insurance.
I've been a professional translator for the past 20 years. You say Gengo offers about $14 per hour. I charge a minimum of $30. Their customer-facing price for "advanced" work is $0.12 per word. As one of their potential suppliers, my rate would be $0.10-0.11 per word, so I doubt they will want to use my services.
It's funny that transcription jobs are still in demand, considering all of the recent AI developments in speech to text technology. I can see someone running all of their work through an algo lmao
Always hiring is the biggest red flag you can get from a company. Also, its not a win win situation. Working from home means alot of loneliness and depression. Also you could be a target to scammers really easily.
Like any company, your time there is what you make of it. Also, life is more than your company. Be aware and don't let anyone abuse you but always look for the light in every experience. Realistic positivity!
@@crod6431 Their estimated completion time is 9 months but I imagine you could complete it way before. It’s self paced and I believe costs $49 a month. Feel free to check it out and confirm for yourself. They offer a 1 week free trial for ALL the courses under the certificate which you can cancel at anytime before the week ends. I cancelled my subscription the same day I enrolled and I still have access to all the courses under the certificate(till free trial ends). Just wanted to check it out.
You are taking money from me as I hunt for work online! You are wonderful, and you have the potential to make a lot of money. You have the potential to attract millions of viewers to your film, allowing you to supplement your income with our full-fledged hope of finding work.
I think I'll stick to metal roofing. Sun in my face, good exercise and great pay. I make anywhere between $60 to $250 an hour as I'm paid per square foot; don't work hourly, it pays very poorly. I'm not bragging, I'm just trying to open peoples eyes to how well you can do in the trades.
@@AliKhalid-t1t You need trade school for that skill. It is hard work and you will be working outside. I have a friend in roofing that is now a millionaire. He works for himself, small business and only employs his son. He has accrued enough money that he now invests in commercial real estate. Learn a trade, my friend. It will serve you for life. It doesn't necessarily need to be roofing either.
The best job for working from home is definitely being a RUclipsr. I mean you only need some tools like Famester to get over subs and views requirement, and you could get that in two or three weeks max. After that it's pretty easy to continue when you are monetized. I mean it's not easy, but you get the point.
While get-rich-quick-schemes sadly are trapping millions, Shane Hummus continues to help people to be enlightened on the details and variety of employment opportunities in a market that requires extensive and constant research which he does for free! What a selfless act!
I agree, except for the fact that he makes money on youtube for it, so it's not exactly doing it for free ;-) just like people who give away money on youtube, as a way to make money, they aren't giving away money, they are making money. Doesn't mean in either case they are not ALSO doing a good deed and enjoy that, but they are also doing it to earn money so don't get it twisted.
From what I have seen transcription pays closer to USD 1 per hour. You might get up to USD 3 per hour on an easy assignment where you work very, very fast.
Apple Home Advisors DO NOT make $32 an hour just fyi Entry level is going to be minimum wage if there is a position making that hourly wage it's going to be filled by someone internally before they hire someone outside of the org
Go Transcript is currently not hiring Transcribers for English. I read all the guidlines twice and tried to memorize as much as possible befroe taking the test, when i went to take the test and "Apply Now" it told me to go away. Very bad!
Big companies like Apple use subcontractors. Wiggle your way through and get a good technician on the phone. If you have skills you might be able to get that subcontractors name. Never fill out an application it’s a waste of time. Get you target people then priority mail a one page resume.
Paying for a background check red flag. They probably associated with the background. Cduck probably recommend a company but not necessarily making you use that company. But that's usually a common scam with the background checks they make money off the background checks❤
As a cybersecurity practitioner, these are below entry level jobs and they underpay you drastically. Unless you want to waste your time, don't go for these.
Don't do transcribing if you find it hard to identify words with strong accents. So many times I got kicked out of transcribing sites from working because I couldn't transcribe thick indian accents etc.
I understand most people might like the idea of working from home. But when I worked from home as a business analyst, those were the unhappiest times of my life. I was thrilled in the beginning, but then I started to get depressed and anxious. I had to take medication and go to therapy. Some people just need a more social environment on a daily basis, even if it comes with some degree of stress. Now that I work in healthcare I might feel more physically tired, but way more emotionally energised
You're right for people who desire social environments. But most people watching this video are NOT seeking that, since it's a video for those desiring WFH positions. Additionally, it will come down to the mental strength and work/personal life balance of the individual.
Why you resorted to medication and therapy instead of going to social events after work is beyond me. Honestly, the people that annoy me the most are the ones who take up my time socializing when they should be working.
I have the same experience working in an office. I work in an IT department at a remote office away from our corporate group. No one talks to me. No one wants to just talk. When I do get a call, it's someone angry that won't talk through the issue and help me get the information I need. I hate.
The hourly rates posted in the thumbnails of these videos are becoming more and more ridiculous by the day. 😅 Wonder why these content creators don’t just take the job for themselves if it’s such a good idea and if it’s that accessible.
why there is no link to the website mentioned and also not even mention what is the correct homepage for all of those webise. I will dislike this video.

LOVED the detail here and yes there are a few companies that I'm going to check out. One thing though - it would've been fantastic if you had a time stamp/link to each of the jobs. My snapshot keys were getting a serious work out! :D
extrememly useful video - but im wondering most of these websites are only applicable to someone who is from usa? am i right. is liveops only for us citizen? and is applecare for only for whose who are from china, oreland, us and singapore? anyone thanks
from GMR's wesbite: "This is not an easy way to make money on the side. This is a job that needs great attention to detail, commitment, and skill. If you saw a video on social media about working for GMR and how easy it is, that is not true. Those influencers are just trying to get views and clicks. We have no association with those videos and wish they never existed. Please proceed if you are ready to work hard, meet strict deadlines, have exceptional English and grammar skills, and can commit to at least 10hrs per week to GMR. Thank you."
17 companies always hiring... first company I look up is Apple for the Home Advisor role. Zero availability, No hiring. What vetting did you do exactly? If I'm way off here, please reply with a link for the Apple Home Advisor role. Thank you!
Hey Shane, Firstly, Thank You for this video. I found this video to be useful. One thing I just wanted to point out about my viewing experience from this video is that the orange or reddish color transition effect between your videos is kind of eye-straining. I don't want to be impolite or anything of that sort, but just to let you know that, that kind of transition effect is affecting the viewers and might change the video due to that reason and eventually may affect your viewing minutes. If that transition effect could be a bit lighter or smoother with lighter tones, then that would help viewers a lot.
Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting a work from home job for years doing transcription or data entry and everything I found looked like scams. I never made my way through all the junk. Thank you for helping me cut through it all!
Gengo does not have any test available for english to spanish or the other way around to get in, so far some of these job leads are turning out to be piles of caca!!🙄
Thank you for the information, Shane. However, the bulk of them have employment openings in the United States and the Philippines; there isn't even a passing mention of a work chance in Latin America.
He is a big scammer! Especially his link he has on his description. He blocked me on ig for telling him that “online writing jobs” that he has on the description is fake and a scam. 📢📢👎👎👎👎 People please be aware and alert 🚨
Hi Shane, The last 6 months have been crazy with the hype and release around ChatGPT which recently got updated to GPT4. I am about to go study Computer Science on a full-ride scholarship. I know that I want to have a career in Tech, but the surge in AI recently has made me worried that I will pick a specialization that will become obsolete in four years. Could you make a video of Tech jobs that are fairly safe from being taken by AI?
AI can only make ur life easier as of now but that also depends on what ur specialization and how fast AI will grow in the next couple of years, all that being said i work in cyber security and there is always a scenario in which (human intervention is needed) we are put to test all the time we are constantly learning and growing and i do not think AI could take over as and when such scenarios occur
@@trashinnit4522 Ai never makes our life easier. More AI = less hype for ACTUAL human coders, and more jobs replacing their human workers for robots. More = less jobs = less money
@@catocall7323 Thank you! I have until my 3rd year of university to pick my specialization, but I wanted to think about asap. Machine Learning was definitely something that was on my mind. I was also wondering how the demand for Cloud engineers will be affected.

How working method
You are taking money from me as I hunt for work online! You are wonderful, and you have the potential to make a lot of money. You have the potential to attract millions of viewers to your film, allowing you to supplement your income with our full-fledged hope of finding work.
I think I'll stick to metal roofing. Sun in my face, good exercise and great pay. I make anywhere between $60 to $250 an hour as I'm paid per square foot; don't work hourly, it pays very poorly. I'm not bragging, I'm just trying to open peoples eyes to how well you can do in the trades.
Hi sir can you teach me how please !!!
@@AliKhalid-t1t
You need trade school for that skill.
How do you make that much? You have to be an owner of the small business i assume?
@@georgekeough669 Nope, just a contractor

The best job for working from home is definitely being a RUclipsr. I mean you only need some tools like Famester to get over subs and views requirement, and you could get that in two or three weeks max. After that it's pretty easy to continue when you are monetized. I mean it's not easy, but you get the point.
I definitely agree with you, started using it five months ago and no issue so far.

While get-rich-quick-schemes sadly are trapping millions, Shane Hummus continues to help people to be enlightened on the details and variety of employment opportunities in a market that requires extensive and constant research which he does for free! What a selfless act!
I do my best!
Perhaps a better phrasing then is: he makes it available for free

From what I have seen transcription pays closer to USD 1 per hour. You might get up to USD 3 per hour on an easy assignment where you work very, very fast.

Great information, thanks! can you please make another video with companies that hire 55+ a lot of talent in this group but some how age is a problem.
I agree. With life expectancy into the 80’s or higher I’m not ready to hit a rocking chair just yet.
Yes, good idea I'm 68 just moved and want to work remote, as a worm farmer working alone is good if one can handle the depression or aloneness.
You said stick around until the end and you would give links to apply for the jobs. I dont see that anywhere. Where can i find it?
Paying for a background check red flag. They probably associated with the background. Cduck probably recommend a company but not necessarily making you use that company. But that's usually a common scam with the background checks they make money off the background checks❤

Don't do transcribing if you find it hard to identify words with strong accents. So many times I got kicked out of transcribing sites from working because I couldn't transcribe thick indian accents etc.
Also fun thing to note a lot of these jobs pay under or just on Australian minimum wage!
Like what. Can you please tell me. And if you are currently working i can help with Indian accent. I belong from India.

I had the same experience.
Not everyone has your needs.
I hate.
thanks for simplifying this process
Dont leave out making youtube videos about working remote as a way of earning a living working remotely. 😀
The hourly rates posted in the thumbnails of these videos are becoming more and more ridiculous by the day. 😅 Wonder why these content creators don’t just take the job for themselves if it’s such a good idea and if it’s that accessible.

"This is not an easy way to make money on the side. This is a job that needs great attention to detail, commitment, and skill. If you saw a video on social media about working for GMR and how easy it is, that is not true. Those influencers are just trying to get views and clicks. Hey Shane,
Firstly, Thank You for this video.
I'll look into it. Thank you!
You said at the beginning of the video you would have a list of links. Did I miss those somewhere? Thank you so much for this Content!

Hi Shane,
The last 6 months have been crazy with the hype and release around ChatGPT which recently got updated to GPT4.
If you are going to college, get into ML and AI specializations since that will obviously be in demand.
@@catocall7323 Thank you! I have until my 3rd year of university to pick my specialization, but I wanted to think about asap. Machine Learning was definitely something that was on my mind. I was also wondering how the demand for Cloud engineers will be affected.
