- Since I always go on about how important I think an entry level help desk position is I felt like it was time to make a video with more details on my experience and of course share information on the salary. How this video was insightful and that somebody gets the information they have been seeking.
Like always, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section. We will try our best to get to them.
If you enjoy the video, don't forget to like, subscribe and share.
Thanks!!
thats not a terrible entry pay at all! glad you getting bigger and better!
So glad I found this channel before it gets big. This is awesome man, I’m currently working in IT Service Desk at a cyber security company for the summer. Graduate with my bachelors in CS in May ‘21. I feel encouraged that I’m in a position that will continue to propel my career forward. I keep coming back to these videos for a realistic idea of all the different paths I can take in the tech industry. Thanks!
Elijah Berumen Good job tackling CS. It’s one of the tougher routes. Also I’m glad you enjoyed the video thanks for the feedback.
Wow Fam. I admire your tenacity.. juggling school & work! Moving forward, know that you have EARNED YOUR STRIPES!! The IT field is lucrative, I wish you much prosperity!!🌱
Grateful to have found this channel! I am currently in school earning IT certifications. I've received a few offers but patiently waiting for the right one! Thanks for knowledgeable content!
Thanks for the encouraging words. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
It’s awesome that you already got some offers. Hopefully that dream offer comes in soon.
Which route are you taking? Which certs have you gotten so far?
Chief_ Trukalot Hello! I apologized for the late reply. I am busy with classes. I attend My Computer Career. There is a program I signed up for where I am prepping to take different IT certifications exams. I have my MTA Security Fundamentals. I will have 8-9 certifications once I complete the the program.
@@butlertiarra wow! How long is the program? And congrats in advance!👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
@@tahntalus thanks! The program is 10 months. It’s extremely fast paced!
Appreciate the videos and the attention to detail you put. As a student this is very helpful for understanding the professional world in a raw sense. Keep it up 👍🏾
Mahish M Thanks!!
This is awesome im currently studying the fundamentals of it
Thanks!, Do you know what route you want to take?
Bro I’m about to graduate with my AA in CIS can’t wait to start working in my career
Benson Bastien congrats. Do you know what you want to do?
PushToProd I wanna do system admin then move on to DevOPs
Just remember if anything goes wrong it's your fault. Don't get me wrong I love working IT but it can have it's down sides. Especially in small companies where it's only you and a director
Thanks great stuff

I’m currently making 60k in nyc doing security job a lot a hospital. I want to get into it but the entry level pay sucks for someone who lives on there own ... any advice on what IT job i should focus on instead of doing the entry level comptia A +
NOC engineer, Network architect
I am currently on the 2nd round of interviews for a Tech Support Engineer position. Hopefully I can land the role and start off my career in IT
Jose Adames Jr Thst would be awesome. Good luck man
PushToProd thanks man I believe I did pretty well on the 2nd interview now just waiting back to see if I advance to the final round.
Could you guys do a video on great interview questions to ask the employer?
Jose Adames Jr That’s good to hear. And yeah let us know when you get that final round call. If we can’t make a video we will try to at least reach out to you.
PushToProd I should hear by back next week the latest, I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back.
PushToProd Hey just wanted to update you guys. I made it to the next round of interviews! I’m scheduling it for this Monday 8/3. This should be the final round a before the decision for the position will be made.
You are cute! It was a pleasure hearing about your journey.
Thank you
Great Video ! Were you a computer science major? I am contemplating getting an entry level cybersecurity job while being in college but wasn't sure if it was advisable working a full time job and being a full time computer science major. Would u suggest focusing on an internship instead?
Charles Quansah I majored in Cyber Security. An internship is a great way to go
@@pushtoprod thanks!
i just subscribed man . i got a contract for 6 months as an entry level it support here in alberta getting paid for 16$ per hour. I just want to know how you level it up
i’ve seen higher salaries than than but how was the contract
How its going?
Great video thx! I got two MTA certs for networking and security, in progress for CompTia Security+. I don't have experience so I doubt I can get security analyst position right away. Without A+ could I start at help desk? What was most that you liked and disliked at HD position?
Bruh my brothers getting paid 20$ but he won’t tell me what he do but comes homes with energy and works another job been doing that for 2 years.
Hey there, did you major in information systems with a concentration in cybersecurity or was it a bachelors in cybersecurity? I'm majoring in information systems, but want to learn how to brush up on the technical skill set since it is a mix between business and IT.
Meet it was a bachelors in Information Security. If I remember correctly IS majors had similar courses before we started diving into the security specific stuff
What state was this position in?
IT call center jobs are just god awful.
I hate call center jobs, I worked enough of them in customer service, it sucks to think I'd have to go back just to get into IT. Isn't there a way to skip the phone part? I had to smoke weed just to get through the damn job, I doubt that would bode well with an IT job.
@@bryonmiller4326 Look into being a NOC engineer. It's a chill job and you just sit down and monitor networks on big screens. You barely deal with customer service b.s
A thousand dollars every two weeks is bad
that's minimum wage in NYC lol you get that with any job lol
