I can say as someone who lives on the North East D.C. border, minimum wage is NOT even realistic. I am currently apartment shopping and I completely ruled out anything nice cause it’s a minimum of like $2000 for a 1 bedroom and $2500 for a 2 bedroom WITH NOTHING INCLUDED! Even in PG County you have to pay for gas, water, parking, electricity, etc. Minimum wage should move up and down based on the economy or at least have some type of safety net for the younger people.
If I didn’t start RUclips when I did I always wonder if I would even be able to make it ngl. It’s a sad thought but I see so many of my friends and sometimes feel like our generation is doomed.
