I've been watching hair tutorials for ten years, and this is one of the first times I really came away with a really unique (yet still helpful and practical) tip for braids. Well done!
I have to be honest here. This braid has just blown my mind to pieces, It is absolutely GORGEOUS. The contrast of the hair color and darker roots really electrifies the style and I must add that the model is beautiful for this look. I hate braiding hair, but I'm willing to practice this one. I commend you on this look. Thumbs up!!!
You could try going to a local cosmetology school. They do hair styles really cheap. At my old school it was 15 bucks for long hair. 11 dollars for medium length
Wow! I love this technique. This is the prettiest Dutch braid I've ever seen! The initial upside down french braid is such a great idea to make it big. I love big hair. ♡♡♡
OH wow I love this! I always braid my hair down from the front and I have very fine hair so it looks terribly small at the front but also quite small all the way down my head. Then when I'm finished, I try to fluff each braid. I love that you fluff as you braid. I have never left a pony tail at the end either. I'm so glad I found your video. I'm trying this very soon! ❤️😍👏👏👏👏
As someone who has not been able to understand how to start the braid off. Having it shown that you can just flip the braid and continue really makes it easier. Can't wait to braid my daughters hair like this :) thank you❤❤
I love all sizes of braids but lately I'm finding myself being drawn to Big braids more! This braid is MARVELOUS and so so creative I love it! Who knew got could under braid then flip the same braid and keep braiding it all the way down?! 😳 So neat! Will be subscribing!
Omg I absolutely love this hairstyle and tutorial, thank you!! It’s even something I believe I can do myself! I have ridiculously baby fine hair that regardless of prep or technique always looks “glued” to my head but think the double braid in this video will definitely be a game changer! Also have dark brown hair that’s thinning out horrifically on the top of my head, where men (but not most women) typically bald. Thinking that this technique and hairstyle will help prevent my glowing white scalp to be so embarrassingly visible. ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
Absolutely love her hair. I have very straight, never colored or damaged since my early 20s from a perm, and down to my butt. I am always looking for new ways to braid. This was amazing thank you so much for doing it.
Those tips were SO helpful! I always struggled with a loose end near the nape of my neck. Now I know how to fix that! Genius!! Thank you for sharing this! Really cool hairstyle!
This is smart and I'm so using this on my youngest. I style there hair everyday before school. She's got thin hair and a crooked hair line so this is brilliant. Your so talented and I like your techniques.
Your store didn't have them listed (at least in the US) so I got one on Amazon. I've always wanted to tease my roots for volume, but have crazy tangley hair that I can never comb out afterwards! So I'm really excited about adding volume with it. And I'm totally doing this braid on my sister. I love the "running start" you get at the braid with by doing it towards the face first. That'll look really good on her!
I often see comments comparing your work to Milabu, but as much as I like Milabu, YOUR work is MUCH better. It’s cleaner, more well executed, and easier to follow. I really appreciate how well you explain your styles. I’m so glad I found your channel. You’re my new hair guru! Thank you!
Thankyou so much! I think Malibu is great too...also kudos to her for doing it on her own hair...my arms drop off just doing a simple braid on myself 😭😂😂
I appreciate the technique and have copied it many times, I get lots of compliments on the style. My only small problem is that I don't quite get it that tight in the front, no matter how many times I try. Its raised high enough like a mohawk but just at the front there are holes. I will keep trying. I love it.... thank you
Love this! I like that you are not using rubber bands throughout the whole hair style. Although I have a question about the part when you put volume in the hair. Does it not damage the hair to tease it into volume with the comb like that?
Thankyou so much for the French braid tip underneath, will be trying this on my daughter very soon as her hair is always so loose and tacky at the beginning of Dutch braids xxx
Thank you SO MUCH. I have an actual mohawk so the side stuff is useless to me but I have being trying so hard to figure out the braid style that doesn't look like it has a slope at the front. French braid down, flip, Dutch braid back. THANKS!
This is really stunning. I'm not sure I could do that on myself but my sides are undercut/shaved(nearly) I have the length and really thick curly hair...and that's why some of the sides had to go I have never been able to grow to this length before and I love it. So I'm not sure I have enough hair for this style..but I love the trick and I keep looking for tips to style with undercut. I know it's not popular anymore but I'm happy with my thinner more manageable hair this way....would love to model for you if I were living in UK.
Really love this....it’s a neat trick. Not sure I can use by myself tho....I have curly thick long hair and have shaved/short sides in both sides. Partly cos I like the look and also makes my hair much more controllable....
Love this idea!! I’ve always wondered how to get volume at the front of my braids. Could you show where to section if you were doing two braids on each side of the head?
Jennifer Stack I see you havent gotten a reply but I would split the hair right down the middle and come back at the arch of the eyebrow. If that makes sense
I've been watching hair tutorials for ten years, and this is one of the first times I really came away with a really unique (yet still helpful and practical) tip for braids. Well done!
Have you come across Silvousplaits' channel? She has really great videos with useful tips and tricks.
I love that her roots peek through it gives that braid so much dimension.
+annette garza yes I likes that too 😊
I have to be honest here. This braid has just blown my mind to pieces, It is absolutely GORGEOUS. Amazing...now I just need to convince my sister to learn how to do it ...´cos I wont be able to do it myself lol.
It'd be great if I could take my head off and braid lol
always i think same :P
Sameeeee
Crystal Bolton 😂😂😂
Crystal Bolton lol yeah😛

Wish I was younger with my full head of beautiful hair. You make it look so easy & with that wow factor. Thank you.
Wow! I love this technique. This is the prettiest Dutch braid I've ever seen!
The initial upside down french braid is such a great idea to make it big. I love big hair. ♡♡♡
Thanks so much!! Glad you love it 💕🤓
Super cute style! The highlights in her hair add significantly to the beauty of the braid.
OH wow I love this! I always braid my hair down from the front and I have very fine hair so it looks terribly small at the front but also quite small all the way down my head. Thankyou Linda!
I love how the braid gets that volume its awesome
As someone who has not been able to understand how to start the braid off. Having it shown that you can just flip the braid and continue really makes it easier. Can't wait to braid my daughters hair like this :) thank you❤❤
WHOAH!!! Never would have thought to do it like this! Perfect for someone like me who has long hair!
Love how you braided to the front and flipped it and finished the braid.
Thankyou 😊
I love all sizes of braids but lately I'm finding myself being drawn to Big braids more! This braid is MARVELOUS and so so creative I love it! Who knew got could under braid then flip the same braid and keep braiding it all the way down?! 😳 So neat! Will be subscribing!
That’s the best mohawk dutch braid I have seen and the most helpful to learn from.
I was having a hard time trying to create a 4 strand Mohawk braid and this one makes it easier to do for the big lift. Thank you ma'am! ❤

Absolutely love her hair. I have very straight, never colored or damaged since my early 20s from a perm, and down to my butt. I am always looking for new ways to braid. This was amazing thank you so much for doing it.
Me too😁😁😊
So smart to flip the braid at the front to create volume! Great tutorial, thank you for sharing.
This is the best tutorial for this hairstyle yet. Seriously. Thank you SO much.
It's one of the most amazing and easiest Mohawks I have ever seen. I will try to try it on myself
How beautiful! Especially with the colors in her hair! That's amazing.... have to try.
Those tips were SO helpful! I always struggled with a loose end near the nape of my neck. Now I know how to fix that! Genius!! Thank you for sharing this! Really cool hairstyle!
Wow..I wish I could braid..I don't know how she does that..her hands move like magic. Amazing
It’s my only skill though 😋
Most beautiful braid I've ever seen!😍😍
Thankyou Eliza!
This is smart and I'm so using this on my youngest. I style there hair everyday before school. She's got thin hair and a crooked hair line so this is brilliant. Your so talented and I like your techniques.
Nicole Miller so glad you liked it🙈💗
Nicole Miller how did it work?
Amanda Kulp it came out good. I don't have a crimper or anything to texture her hair. So I did tiny braids and it worked out good.
I think she crimped it with a straightener !
Leana Wong it does look like a straightener but it’s a volumisour that she used.
This is amazing! I have superflat and thin hair and now I can actually do a faux mohawk braid! You have made this girl very happy, new sub!
Thank you so much. I would never have thought to braid one way then flip it and braid the other. That's genius!
My mind is blown!!!!!!
This is brilliant 👏
If I didn't have somewhere to be in 30 mins, I'd do this tonight!!!!
Love it!!!!
Thank you so much!!!!

This is by far one of the cutest braids I've seen in a long while!!!! I absolutely love it!!!!
This is absolutely GENIUS!!
OMG I'm obsessed with that French braid underneath trick!!
Absolutely gorgeous and funcky at the same time! I looovvveee it!!!
Dont know if I have enough fullness in my hair to do this. But will definitely give it a shot. Beautiful.

Now if only I could do this on myself, but I'm sure my arms will give up really soon x'D
AiraSora I know that feel sistah:(
Same! I don’t need arm day at the gym. I get my arm workout while hairstyling.
You'll have sexy arms when you're all done!
Ugh I know right. Wish someone could do it on me
Conditioning your arms is definitely a challenge.
Wow, this is such a beautiful hairstyle
WOW! I have wondered how to make my braids look like that for years! Thank you so much for this information!!!!!😍
She makes it look so easy, I’m a stylist, and I can’t even do this with my hair, other people I can, but me , no lol
I appreciate the technique and have copied it many times, I get lots of compliments on the style. This is such a hairstyle which should be tried
I am definitely going to try it
Excellent job
I love this! And the trick for making the front bigger is awesome! I always struggle with that.
This hair style is in episode 6 of Hawkeye ! Thank you for the tutorial! I’m 100% going to try it .
Best trick I've ever seen!!
What a FANTASTIC braid!!! Love it!
Thankyou so much for the French braid tip underneath, will be trying this on my daughter very soon as her hair is always so loose and tacky at the beginning of Dutch braids xxx
I love it but I wouldn’t have puffed it up that big but definitely love the idea
Absolutely stunning hairstyle
If I was her (the model), i would never want to undo that braid. It's stunning 😍
Thank you SO MUCH. I have an actual mohawk so the side stuff is useless to me but I have being trying so hard to figure out the braid style that doesn't look like it has a slope at the front. French braid down, flip, Dutch braid back. THANKS!
What a cool idea to make the braid BIG. Can't wait to try that on my daughter. Thank you so much ♡
Wow! Thank you. My hair is super long and I need a beautiful way to put it up in a nice way. Now I have to practice and practice and….

Brilliant! Love a Mohawk! I'll be having a go at this!
Absolutely beautiful!!
Such a simplified version! I love it
Absolutely gorgeous! I’m wondering about the first tool used to give texture? It looks like a straightener but the hair looks crimped?
It’s my SweetHearts Volumiser. It gives the Hair 3 times the volume 😊
sweetheartshair.com/product-category/hot-tool/
o.m.g. that's beautiful. My hair is over 3' long, Don't think I can do that by myself. but i'm sure going to give it a try! It's absolutely gorgeous!
That braid is Beautiful!!
You are very talented....great job!!
OMG, it looks amazing!!!

Jennifer Stack I see you havent gotten a reply but I would split the hair right down the middle and come back at the arch of the eyebrow. If that makes sense
Wow that would be an interesting look and oh so comfortable too. Maybe easier to do on self too.
Oh great!! This is fantastic. Thanks for the awesome tutorial
Absolutely Beautiful ! Wow!
Очень красивая причёска 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Omg I'm trying this tomorrow this is so beautiful I love your accent too.
Thank you for your tips! Total "ah-ha" moment with the French braid as the foundation. I will definitely use this one day! You are so talented.
Haha thank you so much 💓
That was fantastic trick! Quick question is her hair crimped? The ponytail part looks as if the hair is crimped.
I really like these new braids ❤
Would this hair style be easy to do on myself. Love this hair style.
