Shot on an iPhone, clearly. Basically the same idea as that last video, just on a baritone!

Prince and Joe Dart walk into a bar....
I could swear I saw that Prince poster smile !
Can you make a home rig rundown?
You're a monster of the groove brother. Love all your records.
That’s some Lettierified Princely funk 💜 🎸
Love how he keeps looking into the camera like “I know you’re all nodding too, it’s ok”
Hidden lick at 0:30
That sounds like a live PRINCE concert jam moment
I've listened to so much Fearless Flyers at this point, that whenever I hear something funky from you I start expecting Cory, Joe and Nate to come in at any moment 🎸🥁
Cool😊
One of the bass player's function in a band is to get people's hips moving so they get up and dance. Baritone guitar can be the best of both worlds, as seen here, because it can not only produce an infectious dance groove, but it's melodic chording range reaches into guitar range with all its expressiveness. Now, if the baritonist works out their fills tightly with the drummer, holy shit happens.
As primarily a bass player and secondarily a guitar player, I can relate to your analysis; thus a baritone is on the shopping list.
Stay in your own lane.

I actually recently bought a Bass-VI like baritone guitar and I can confirm every word you're saying. I can swap to bridge pickup to make little solos and arpeggios and sounding like a guitar and then move to the neck PU to just be massively present as a bass. This is the future.
But he's playing with an octaver
Prince docet
Who knew Han Solo does play guitar....
Hello, guitar wifey. Dude, join the New Revolution.
That right hand technique blends together the best parts of guitarist Al Di Meola and funk bassist Bobby Vega. From the wrist action at its finest.
Prince on the wall!
Does "Stank Face" come packaged with that guitar? 🤪
Nice of Chicago Music Exchange to let Mark practice in their main lobby whenever he wants.
I love the baritone guitar. Until you came along I didn't even know there was such a thing.
Fantastic sound - the grunt of that Baritone guitar. I need to have one.
Any special tunings or standard?...
Dude are you in bari tuning and then tuned a whole step down??
How am I going to cook eggs while I’m dancing to this? These are going to be some funky scrambled eggs. I hope you’re happy, you groove wizard and face melter!!
🤘
THE TIDAL TAIL REFERENCE 🔥
What is your name?
ah man this video is about 15 mins too short
Sportin’ a groove gurn….
Mark must have been a Prince fan..👍
So groovy it's borderline criminal.
I think you should experiment with some 7 string playing! Let's you have the best of both worlds.
I have a 7, and it's cool, but the scale length of the baritone is where the magic comes from :)
1:04 is that an F*** chord?
baritone sales just went up
Funky Markkkkk 🕺🏻🕺🏻
Hey Mark, are you going to the Ground Up music fest?
Of course! Mark Lettieri Group plays on the Saturday!
Chamaaaaaaaaa
Damn thats nasty😍
Are you playing through an amp sim at home, or do you have an amp mic'd? Great groove! Enjoying these videos.
Thanks! It's just direct into my Apogee interface, with an octave effect added from Logic Pro.
😎🔥🔥🔥
0:30 Tidal Tail!
What kind of guitar is that? Please don't say "Baritone".
H! It's a Leonardo by Bacci Guitars. Italian brand.
i wanna be able to do this on the fly.

Really Nice, I just left France today unfortunately.. would have been glad to replace te machine by real drums
👏👍✊🤝🎸☺
Very impressive dynamic
Great video Mark!
If I was blind, I knew this was mark just from that distinct playing and feel. Always a pleasure getting to listen from a great mind
*I’d know, *Mark, *listen to …
What kinda Pickup is the white one behind the black Bridge PU?
Pure groove sorcery
Funky!
Hey Mark. Picked up a PRS SE 277 the other week. So far loving it (have your transcriptions!). What do you use for your drums in these practice sessions? Is it s Logic plugin or similar?
This dude is scary! So cool watching this dude!
I dont know if you heard this already or need to hear this, BUT, you are a BEAST!
Marks stank face is unparalleled

"I'll have what she's having."

I know it's not really the focus, but I'm curious to know what do you use for the backing tracks?
I create them myself in Logic X.

Legend
Mark, you reach me! Keep up the groove! It's life boosting bro!
❤
Nice.
👍👍
Groooooovy
Awesome man
Awesome 👌
Fun stuff! Mark should record more funk, less jazz. More foot stomping music like The Baritone Sessions!
Haha! I don't really do any actual "jazz" - I just like "expensive" chords from time to time :)
@@mjlettieri ha, expensive chords, I like that!!! 😂
Awesome 😎 especially that base @0:48 👌🏻
Sounding good man
Excellent one ✌️juste superbe !

😑
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love it!
Mark, this is fire. What baritone guitars are you rocking?!
Thanks! This is a Bacci baritone, but I also favor the PRS 277, Supro Hampton, Danelectro '56, and Hybrid Guitars Big 6. A world of low-end out there... :)
@@mjlettieri Mark, when you use baritone guitars, you run it through a Bass Amp or Guitar Amp???
Wow, I need that on a record !
Thanks! Check out my Deep: The Baritone Sessions records :)
I am obsessed with your Baritone Sessions. Grooves so hard. I gotta see you play next time your in fort worth tx!
Wow, that is FUNKY. I've never heard a baritone played like that!
Is that p-bass pickup in that thing?
Thanks! Yes - it’s half a P Bass pickups that engages the bottom three strings through a separate output.
