Ohhhhhhhhhh my god. That whole mix is MASSIVE. The drummer is an actual machine, the bassist is a monster with a Tone about as thicc as the man himself. And well Mark is just being as phenomenal as usual
I really don't know how, but I listened to this in 2017 when i was 16 and i liked it so much, now it brings me a lot of memories and nostalgia.. love it
I hate this. It has ruined me for anything else. This is exactly want to play, but didn't know it. Truly perfect blend of funk groove, rock attitude, and jazz sensibility. Truly perfect.
I'm still crying that didn't saw you with the puppies on Luna Park in Argentina, still saving my coins to the day u come here with any band u are. Excellent smoothness u have mark
i've watched this video about a hundred times since it was posted, and i'm pretty sure i've commented on it already. and here i am to watch it again. this is just effin awesome! easily my favorite YT post of 2017.
Great driving funky dredge rock song. The whole band is smashing it. Drummer like to wake up the neighborhood on that solo. Great bass and guitar was phenomenal Lettieri Style Someday I'll learn to play 5 seconds of his leads. BRAVO !!!
My jaw is literally on the floor. Mind blowing. This is what it must have felt like when Hendrix burst on the scene. Just on a totally different level. Genius.
well, here i am to make yet another comment. i finally pulled the trigger on the purchase of a baritone guitar thanks in large part to this video. thank you for your inspiration, Mark. can't wait for you to get back to the DFW area to catch another Trio show. I was at the SP show and afterparty last month...such a joy to watch musicians of your caliber play live music.
Came here to hear a demo of the Statesman amp. Walked away with my mind blown by the musicianship! Already knew Mark was a beast, but DAY-um, that rhythm section tho....!!
Mark, your playing is so amazing. I love your work. I enjoyed you with PT and Tim, both at Tims place and at Normans Rare guitars. You just kill it on the guitar. I love Snarky Puppy too, but as a guitarist meself, Im a bit biased to your playing.. Feeling the groove from England..peace
This song has that Jeff Beck characteristics too it. I never heard of Mark Lettieri. I just saw him on the Namm You Tube Video. Great Job here, gentleman!
@@patrickhorn2355 Thanks for the feedback. I went out and bought a Statesman because of this and of course I can't use it like him..haha. My 5 year old boy now wants Slugbug when we get in the car
Incredible tones from everyone here, I came here to check out Mark's playing, but walked away impressed by the bassist.
Yes indeed - check him out Matthew Ramsey, discovered by Chaka Khan’s former MD, Aaron Ramsey, incredible gospel bassist
Ohhhhhhhhhh my god. That whole mix is MASSIVE. The drummer is an actual machine, the bassist is a monster with a Tone about as thicc as the man himself. And well Mark is just being as phenomenal as usual
I really don't know how, but I listened to this in 2017 when i was 16 and i liked it so much, now it brings me a lot of memories and nostalgia.. love it
The incredible Matt Ramsey on bass 🤙
I was positively surprisey to find Matt playing along Mark!
yes
I hate this. It has ruined me for anything else. This is exactly want to play, but didn't know it. Truly perfect blend of funk groove, rock attitude, and jazz sensibility. Truly perfect.
Somehow it resembles me of Charlie Hunter. If you don't know him yet you should check him out
Oh Yes, same here. Drummer sounds a bit like Dennis Chambers, great sound and groove. The band plays perfectly, awesome.
Michał Stopyra - No Money No Honey :)
Same here - the blend is what I have been searching for:)
Yes !! First i think of - guy plays like dennis.
THIS is how you sell amplifiers! Killer video. I'm sold.
Brandon Hackler agreed
Brandon Hackler sold my ass. Youre not even buying it.
Helsinki Oslo would bet my life 2 years later he didn’t buy this amp
mikecantreed but he bought baritone guitar !
I agree, but I think he's got a killer overdrive pedal in there. That Fender has bass strings on it, sounds killer.
This should hit a Million views boys. Mark just laying it down. My kids even ask for this song now.
so sick, love it so much
Awesome drummer
If only supro started selling those
Massive fan of Mark, but damn, that rhythm section is massive. Great recording too

Mark is legit one of the best guitarists of this time. So different and original, So under rated
That tone

You will probably loose your **** over his playing on Kirk Franklin Tiny Desk.. if you haven't heard it already :-D
@@johnsausage that Tiny Desk performance ruined my plans for the day yesterday and is the reason I am here today 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
All of it sounds amazing boss
Man, this groove is awesome! Would absolutely love to see ánd hear this live: Mark should definitely come to Europe soon!
great sound! Great guitar player! Mark Lettieri is the man!
haha...never get tired of JT's drum solo...just drops it right in there and subtle becomes dynamic in a heartbeat
I keep coming back more often recently to get my dose of baritone funk. Love it.
Great driving funky dredge rock song. The whole band is smashing it. Drummer like to wake up the neighborhood on that solo. Great bass and guitar was phenomenal Lettieri Style Someday I'll learn to play 5 seconds of his leads. BRAVO !!!
Got no words for that. Everyone here is a true beast at his best! Fantastic mastership. Loving every second of the video
Impressive audio engineering.
The real worlds answer to over-processed corporate prog; these guys rock; off paycheck. Hats off.
Haha! Thanks man!
well said, That Pedal Show hooked me in.
Sick jam... what a trio!
My jaw is literally on the floor. Mind blowing. This is what it must have felt like when Hendrix burst on the scene. Just on a totally different level. Genius.
The Snarky Puppy rig rundown on Premier Guitar led me to Mark, Mark's channel led me here, and now I don't ever want to leave.
Oh God, the best thing I heard in a while, Mark I love your feel and style, you are such an inspiration !
Those drum O M G!!!!!
This honestly is probably my favorite musical piece I've listened to in a long time
Guitaraholic27 Peterson listen to him in track 6 of Reynolds guitar band. Unreal

Absolutely brilliant! Total badasses, all 3 of them!
I could listen to that song for the rest of my life!
Exceptional playing by all. Superb tone
All these musicians are highly talented and gel together.
I think not only is Mark a great talent, he also knows how to put a band together....makes everybody great.
Great tune, excellent showcase for the amp.
Wow man, you're killer with that song. Is a master piece! Great Job Mark, you're amazing musician. Someday I hope meet you bro!
This is so fun. I think I like this version better than the album - it seems extra sludgy
Alex Price always a good thing
Thanks dude! We might put it up on iTunes along with the "Spark and Echo" live track too...
Awesome to hear! I'll look forward to it :)

This sound could also work out great in a stoner rock band. Lovely playing by Mark, that dude is great!
Thanks man! I was kinda going for that vibe :)
I totally agree! And I just fell in love with that tone! It makes wonder over that bass tone
no it couldnt
"This sound could also work out great in a stoner rock band"

Thanks Keith! Not sure where you live, but we're hitting the West Coast in September - and hopefully more of the US in 2018.

Wow the whole band is firing on all cylinders. My face just about melted here hearing the main riff man. 😎
I'm getting Kyuss vibes .
this is amazing ....I'm floored....
Amazing trio.
I know, I know, the video is about the guitar amp, but COME ON, that snare sound is the goat here
Mark, your playing is so amazing. I love your work. I enjoyed you with PT and Tim, both at Tims place and at Normans Rare guitars. You just kill it on the guitar. I love Snarky Puppy too, but as a guitarist meself, Im a bit biased to your playing.. Feeling the groove from England..peace

The lick at 3:09 is soooo good 🎸😍
i like how this mark guy is vibin to the jam
Perfect... just perfect
Fantastic!!!!!!!
Best dirty tone I've heard in a long time!!!!!
wow love that sound
Fantastic !
Man i love these riffs. So heavy and funky and nasty. The tuning has to be crazy. Anyone have any insight>?
I don’t really know about the tuning but I’m pretty sure Mark uses an octaver pedal for that one. could be wrong
It's a baritone guitar so it's standard tuning just from B to B. Like a 7 string with no high E.
Its not so much the tuning but more so his overdrive combined with an octave pedal.
@@patrickhorn2355 Thanks for the feedback. I went out and bought a Statesman because of this and of course I can't use it like him..haha. My 5 year old boy now wants Slugbug when we get in the car
Is Mark playing a Bass VI?
The statesman sounds great but honestly... that bass player stole the show here. Sweet tone!
The funk is strong in this one
What a glorious thick and juicy tone.
The stankiest of funk!!!!! Awesome!!!!
