From the Telegraph: "THE BBC has taken the unprecedented step of re-editing a television programme to show immediately after broadcasting a watchdog's attack on the original version.The move follows a Broadcasting Standards Commission ruling that a Horizon documentary last year was unfair on an author. It is the first time that the BBC has taken such action after a critical judgment since it began showing television programmes in 1936."Also - Graham Hancock appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast with profession sceptic, and founder of the sceptic society Michael Shermer - and Shermer got absolutely spanked by Hancock, with regards to some of his complaints against him. So much so that Shermer agreed to re-write some articles that had been written about Hancock. He made 8 complaints about the Horizon program saying it was unfair in the way in which it rubbished him and his wonky theories. 7 of the 8 complaints were thrown out. The 8th complaint was about his theory that the position of the Pyramids matches the position of the stars of the constellation of Orion 10500 years ago. The program exposed the claim as false [correctly and reasonably] and called upon the expertise of an astronomer who showed Hancock had fiddled his data and lied. But the standards commission held the Hancock should have been allowed to answer the criticisms during the program and be given the opportunity to explain them and/or defend himself by answering the expert critic. Here is a quote from the report of the Commission "Mr Hancock claims the program had created the impression that he {Hancock} was an intellectual fraudster who had put forward half-baked theories in bad faith, and that he was incompetent to defend his own arguments. Adjudication: The Commission finds no unfairness to Mr Hancock in these matters." So don't tell me that the Commission found him to be an honest and competent person. The problem is. Russel has developed a fanbase of people who are unlikely to have large funds to spend on podcasts but may feel his words and guests are important to listen to. I certainly feel many of his guests are valuable people to listen to. Putting this content behind a paywall is doing a diservice to those who gain positive effects in their lives from his content. It stands in stark contrast to the positive anti comercial message of his approach. Really confused by this decision.
@Ash Bajaj You know how much high-profile stand-ups make? Never mind all the after-dinner speaking money he could get. His move behind a paywall is an awe-inspiring mixture of stupidity and greed. Podcasts aren't to make direct money off, they're the ultimate marketing tool to boost your regular day job. Audio content has always been free, it's the equivalent of paying someone to listen in to their conversation down the pub. Audio books are different, since all the effort goes in prior to the audio output.
These pods by Brand are not worth paying for, nor worth watching!

I started watching a documentary on netflix on the first people in North America. They just don't look at alternative facts. The clues are many, like rocks you either trip over or walk around. There is a partial structure they are calling stone heng in lake Michigan that dates to before the younger dryas. 13000 years which someone built. It's not made by primitive hunter gathers. Looks very advanced. Just that one thing proves that people were here long before that time. The biggest problem is the disaster that hit cause great flooding wiping out most of the evidence of the people before.
Separate Realities - this is the subject matter of Graham Hancock's book 'America Before'. Worth a read to fully understand the implications. He makes the point that the established body of Archaeology and Anthropology are totally resistant to his ideas - Why? - because they've spent their lives teaching their (possibly erroneous) ideas all their lives.
Some commenters on here seem to think they should defend those old ideas, (some with inappropriate rage!) maybe they are the old guard, soon to be replaced by younger, more open minded thinkers, who are more like Hancock.
