      I can't wait to get to his part about you, about ten years ago my first far future idea actually centers around the Aboriginal civilization... basically in a world where humanity forgets how to survive off the land due to relying on AI and computers, an apocalypse due to the malfunction of technology leads to more than 95% of the world's population dying off. Primitive cultures whose religion and way of life is tied to the land (Aborigines, Native Americans, First Nations, tribal Africans, tribal Amazonians) are basically the only ones who know how to survive without technology. Humanity's future lies in those who did not go over fully to technology. Climate change made the equatorial regions so inhospitable that the very small amount of people who are left race to the polar or extreme northern/southern regions of the Earth. Australia, an 'island' exclusively out of that area, is the best place in this regard. However, it takes tens of thousands of years for tribal cultures to advance again and reach advanced technology of an entirely different sort - that which works WITH nature rather than against it. Humanity 'industrializes' again, but this time not against the planet.

    • @mnomadvfx
      @mnomadvfx 11 месяцев назад +21

      Ironically the opposite is the case.
      As the years roll by evidence increases that no such 'cataclysm' occurred when he says it did during the Younger Dryas.
      Sea level rise during this time was gradual, no sudden extinction event occurred.
      Megafauna died out because they couldn't cope with the relatively rapid state of climate shift from warming -> colder -> warming again in just a thousand years.
      Everything else survived including humans whose habitations during that period is documented before, during and after with no observed disruption.
      The larger an animal is, the less it can stand a significant shift in environment like that because its requirements for life are greater than something small - which is why wolves and humans managed better than the megafauna.
      The same effect caused mammals ancestors to survive the extinction of the dinosaurs.
      They were small, rodent like burrowers in the Cretaceous who were highly adaptable to environmental change.

      I doubt it very much.
      Look how 'woke' their programming and the PR associated with it has become these days.
      Do you think given this that the white supremacy associations with one of his 'guests' on Ancient Apocalypse made Netflix executives happy to have funded and published the series? 😅
      I've not a single doubt that the History channel execs who approved Ancient Aliens for umpteen seasons would trample their first born children to get an audience, but Netflix are walking a more exalted path than that in their own minds, if not in reality.
      If they actually greenlighted a 2nd series I would be very surprised, unless they personally vetted his entire list of associates next time.
      To say that was a blunder is a massive understatement.
      Even a basic Google search could have revealed his guests rather.... unsavoury opinions.

    • @mnomadvfx
      @mnomadvfx 9 месяцев назад +1

      I strongly doubt that there will be a season 2, let alone more beyond that.
      There are obvious signs of nepotism at work in Hancock's series getting bought by Netlfix owing to his son being an executive in charge of programming at the streaming company - something which came to light shortly after its release.
      On top of that Netflix is perhaps the "wokiest woke streaming service that ever woked" to quote an overenthusiastic RUclips commentator on their last 6-7 years of ever more liberal content.
      Once it became apparent after Ancient Apocalypse was released that Hancock chose to give screen time on the series to a known white supremacist author I think it extremely unlikely that company that leans so obviously hyper liberal in its messaging to the public would continue to even give Hancock the time of day, let alone further fund him for future seasons.
      This is the same company that was feminising The Witcher before it even started filming season 1 - literally pushing the male titular protagonist out of the story from the start to give it a more liberal edge for the single mothers they know make up a huge percentage of their subscriber base.
      If Netflix actually do give Hancock a second chance..... well.... he'll be so gelded, and his script so sanitised that you wouldn't even recognise it as the same series.
      All Netflix has to do is do a basic historical search on the highly racist and xenophobic origins of pseudo history and they will peace out faster than a speeding bullet.
      There is always the possibility that Netflix want to just sell out and push schlock for profit like the History Channel did with Ancient Aliens (cue ITS ALIENS gif), but given they have already sunk several highly monetisable IPs like The Witcher to chase this current path, and wasted potentially $billions in the process I highly doubt that they will do that for Hancock when they wouldn't do it for Henry Cavill who has a thousand times greater brand recognition at least.

    Excellent work! Truly inspiring. This journalist is a true scientist at heart who goes out there and explores rather than to sit in an office and repeat old dogmas.
    The dogmatists, traditionalists & fanatics in archaeology are losing for many years now, their gatekeeping of knowledge and blatant rejection of any evidence that contradicts their orthodox traditions is being exposed more than ever before and the majority of people finaly realizes how very limited & highly selective the narrative about human history has been teached and presented to us.
    That "Clovis police" mentality is unfortunately common everywhere in science and goes back centuries. Countless lives and careers have been destroyed by the orthodox fanatics, who all have been proven to be wrong years later...which doesn't undo the suffering of the victims of their vicious attacks.

      Nah, trust me, im studying to be in the field of archeology and in my research I came across alot of concerning stuff about him, in his Netflix series he cut out alot of what the archeologists said in order to make it fit his agenda, his theory was also created by white supremacists and later adopted by the nazis, not to mention pretty much everything he says is the plot of assassins creed 😂 but seriously I can tell your interested in history, go do the research, learn about it the right way, it's a really interesting subject. But this guy is not the way to go to learn about it, the best example of why is his claims about the Bosnian pyramids, his entire evidence for it being a pyramid (its just a mountain that a guy is using to scam and boost tourism) is the there is a carbon date for 30k years ago (all that means is organic life was there, that literally means a tree could've fallen there) and that it looks like a pyramid.

      Why on Earth do I have to trust you??? Just because you’re studying archeology? For one, Flint had to lie publicly because he knows claims of Grahams made sense. Not to mention the fact that once a person has to lie (a so called expert) it’s pretty hard to trust the veracity of any future claims. I won’t trust people who base arguments on lies then slander someone in publications like a petulant child.

    Thank you, Graham, and all who investigate our past history. My investigation has occurred internally, it is indeed different to what we have been told, although there are many flaws in the judgement of the rules and practices. I will say that every human is born knowing the so-called rules, our differing societies then teach us to forget in many different ways. To think any society would hold the knowledge is to me a silly concept, as to be born in the wrong country could lead to eternal suffering, simply by not learning the way. Look within yourself to find the answers that lay there for all to know, not to learn. Cheers from a retired digger down under.
