It doesn’t work like that , ur parents or maybe you have a certain amount of Mbps that they can reach such as 35-50 so you’re capped at that , changing ur dns won’t do anything if you’re already reaching ur maximum

I've tried several different DNS servers and get really weird connections, I got a 1000/1000 line but the connection pends between 30/3, 600/10, 500/30 etc and got between 16-20ms ping in-game. Got a stable connection on my other devices at home. Ps4-pro btw
Yeah I used this a couple months ago, then set it all back to default because it did work but began to get even more laggy.
DNS has no effect on download speed. DNS only affects latency.

I've had my ps5 for around 2 weeks and ever since I've had inconsistent ping with lag spikes taking my ping from 10 to 220+ I have tried around 5 dns servers but they only seem to help for a short amount of time. I checked on my ps4 and it has a consistent 10ping and lower and I cant get a wired connection to my room
I know this was 4 months ago but my friend had wireless Lan. It plugged in to the router and the ps and sucked up all the internet juice. So maybe look into that
Look into moca adapters that can use your existing coaxial cable. Or use one of those powerline things that use your home wiring as an ethernet cable.

Changing your DNS has no effect on download speed. This video is misleading.
The number 1’s (the second option) worked for me better than the number 8’s like about a month but recently I’ve been getting slight lag and delays when I didn’t play for few days :/ and I also already have wifi frequency 5GHz on too
Wired is always better than wireless.

If ur router is next to u. Use a Lan cable for best possible connections or make sure your signal strength is good enough

Have a question. I'm getting great download speeds, around 390sih, but my upload speeds are showing in KBPS, not even gettin a full MB! I've tried 3 different DNS servers with them al showing good download speeds but crappy upload speeds. I'm using an ethernet cable but have tried with WiFi as well, same outcome for the most part. Is it just my internet provider then?

Almost did a spit take on my TV.... So was scrolling threw comments saw someone mention 5HGz helped majorly. So looked up how to enable it. Did it ran test then went to bathroom came back not looking at the screen yet and drank some of my soda. Looked at screen and almost spat on my TV. that thing for google went from 6.6 -7.2mbps to freaking 210.0 - 213.0 mbps.
Switching from 2.4 to 5 GHz makes a huge difference.

Long as u have a cable line u can use Ethernet cord

How are you testing? The PS5 speed test is not accurate.

Unfortunately this isn’t helping me. Already checked my frequency and tested both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I get up to 20% packet loss and latency spikes every ten seconds. Both war zone pacific and vanguard are both unplayable right now.

If you still have these problems try going to you saved data and see if it is corrupted
Setting > save data and game/app settings > then go to gta

Yes! Since the DNS settings are changed within the PS5 network settings itself and not through your ISP settings

tried this, nothing seems to improve my connectivity. I'm told its due to packet loss. I'm afraid this is my last year playing FIFA, the frustration is not at all worth it. Wouldn't recommend.
You can try buying a Gaming Router. Asus Gaming Routers are the best because you can buy any new Asus Router & connect them together so that way it will work like a advanced Wi-Fi extender. They call it AiMesh. I have both the Asus Gaming AX11000 & AXE11000. If you are playing on console then the AX11000 will be fine because even tho it's older they give you WTFast for free 4Ever & that lets you connect to the closest server to your favorite game at all times. It's really advanc ed technology packed in a router. It's pretty much a computer trapped in a router.
Make sure you’re not playing on WiFi. If you got packet loss it’s probably because of WiFi
If this doesn’t help change your 2ghz to 5ghz to ps5 needs it

You need to go into your controller bind settings in warzone and bind a button to ping

Both of these DNS servers have been confirmed to work in the UK. You can also do a quick Google search for more DNS servers if you'd like to test more for your internet setup

Just do the normal internet speed test on the ps5 do not do Advanced at it should go back to normal dns settings
Just switch your DNS settings to Automatic instead of Manual.

what’s this NAT type is about?
Different types of connection. If u use 4g routers (like I do) u will get NAT type 3 if u use cable from your local exchange u will get NAT type 2 and NAT type 1 is I’m pretty sure a very quick connection or directs connection from your router
I am using opendns DNS
My plan tops out at 500 Mbps. All testing via WiFi and hard wired Ethernet correlate this…except for my shiny new PS5. Max on it via both maxes 75 Mbps. No other device I have is this slow. I’ve tried all DNS servers listed on multiple posts. There is something wrong with the chip in this device.
The ps5 speed test is not overly accurate. Test it by timing how long a game takes to download. All remember that megabits per seconds are not the same as megabytes per second. File size is measured in megabytes and download speeds are measured in megabits per second.

I’m really confused because when I try to get on gta my PS4 says cannot start application. The data is corrupted delete the application from the PS4 and then download it again from library on the Home Screen. I don’t want to delete it because I don’t want to buy it again.
