Used for: EVERYTHING...lol. Farming, Fishing, Work Trucks, Construction, Beer Trucks, and anything else you can think of. They are called "Keitora's" in Japan. Kei (pronounced "Kay" ) - Keijidosha (660cc or less) and "tora" (pronounced "Torah") - basically shortened for "truck". My father-in-law drives ones to his business every day.
Ninety-nine percent of Japanese farmers have "Kei trucks". Light trucks are called "kei-tora" for short in Japan. Fishermen also have Kei trucks. Kei trucks still support the Japanese economy. It is funny to see videos of that Kei truck being customized in various ways in the U.S., and I am impressed by the idea. from Japan.😄
I believe you have just increased Mayberry's Overall Sales of these Mini Trucks. What a great idea for Homesteaders and even farmers. They are economical to own and operate. They need to put you on a commision or a service rebate account for units sold by your referral. This is great info for everyone. ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND THE FAMILY!!
That wouldn’t go ten feet into my barn yard or thru any of my fields personally couldn’t use this on my farm here in Ontario we got a kubota works great with a dump box can put a 4x5 round bale in the back
I had a brand new suzuki carry in 1990, it was my daily drive here in the UK. When asked what it was like to drive, i always gave the same reply "it's a smile a mile".
Hello, Jason. I'm happy to see you acquired something that should make your day-to-day routine easier, but it's stowaway dog that made me give the video a thumbs up!
When I was in the Air Force and was either deployed and stationed in Korea, we drove those around the base. Was very helpful carrying our tools and equipment.
Trucks sweet! They were used more so around the fish market than the homestead either way rock solid when it comes to reliability the Japanese know how to do it 💪
We have these in the Philippines imported from Japan but because right hand drive vehicles are illegal, these are converted to left hand drive before you can legally sell it or operate it. I owned one for 7 years before coming over to the US. Its easy to fix and parts are cheap.
Definitely need to do the "Sow the Land" logo on the side! We have a neighbor who has one of these and my husband wants one! Thanks so much for highlighting the guy who's selling them.
Such a smart move getting that truck. Here in Italy, they are all over the place, and the smaller ones with only 3 wheels haha. Many Italians own homes with some land and they use the truck to get around the property. I have neighbors who use theirs to move crates of olives or grapes during harvest, firewood for storage for winter, everything pretty much. I know you will love it.
Jason, you are a hoot! I do not think I have laughed so much when watching a homesteading video. I personally think that was a great purchase, the little truck. Good luck and good for you guys.
I gown up in Japan as farmer. owned those mini truck. they are pretty good, some of them even have tilt able dump truck bed. I like them because first gear is very low, you can just pop the clutch engine will not stall. they also make mini-van version of those truck ( fully enclosed ) , they are useful as well.
Jason. At 11:34 your big smile and eyes showed the same expression of a 16 year old with their first vehicle. You are a family that deserves great joy. You work hard and your homestead progress shows it. Thanks for sharing.
I love that truck, looks like so much fun to drive - everyone was smiling too. Maybe get a rubber mat to protect that flat bed. I'm sure its going to be so useful on your new farm.
Your photo with Elvira in the front seat and chicken in the back is priceless 😂😂 Watching you after a long hard work day just made my night!! Love your family!!
I love these trucks. It was the norm on the island of Okinawa, Japan where we lived back in 1978. When I first arrived to the island I thought they were so strange looking! But they are really the perfect size for so many things that you do on the farm! You're gonna love this little truck! Always!
Really cool, and $5K to $8K is a nice price range for a vehicle. I've watched one or two videos about how these trucks are used in Japan; they sized the beds to exactly fit a standard type of crate used to haul produce, and made them very efficient and affordable for small farms. One has to expect that they are made with Japanese quality, too.
Your need for one resonates for me well. I purchased 34 acres and need a utility vehicle. The Japanese Mini Trucks really are the superior utility vehicle and best value for what they can do. I've been thinking of getting a Suzuki Carry and I learned a few things in this video that help me understand why it is the right choice.
Took a Suzuki van like that right round Australia in the 80s, , no troubles , off road rough road, dirt road. You will love it. You will won't blow that engine up, as long as you service it.
You’ll be very surprised, these things are unstoppable off road. Toyo Open country make the right size too. Super light weight and 5ft wide, your going to loose a wrangler pretty quick through the trees.
Keitruck! I lived in the countryside of Japan for 2 years and these were staples. EVERYWHERE. Selling produce out the back of them, carrying supplies, doing al lkinds.
Canada here, easy tip for dealing with kilometers on the speedo. Take first number and times by 6. 50=30mph 5x6. 90km = 54 mph 9x6, 100=60mph 10x6. Good job on not buying a side by side, this will be way better.
The Wheels on the truck go round and round ...round and round... round and round ...the wheels on the truck go round and round... all over the farm!!! 😊thanks for the laughs and enjoy. The Nana's from Central Florida
What a great little truck! I didn't quit smiling the whole time! As a senior citizen, I can tell you that any wear & tear you can save on your body now will be a blessing later in life! God Bless!
Living the absolute dream with that beautiful land and sweet little new car. Here in Hawaii people use them as their beach/surf cars. They are popping up more and more, and can hold lots of surf boards.
I want to thank for for this video. I’ve been thinking about getting a mini truck and I came across your video. After watching it I told myself I was only buying one from Tony. I called him the very next day and only 8 days later my mini truck is being delivered to our home in NW Indiana. I’ve also been checking out your other videos so keep em coming. Thanks again and take care
Love your new truck. This is going to be great on the farm, especially as you domore with the land way back there. That would be a very hot walk, come July and August. So happy you were able to get this. Y'all have a Blessed day..
I am an American retired in the Philippines. These Kei trucks and vans are extremely common here and they are referred to as surplus vehicles here. I have the Suzuki DA64V which is a van with AT, 4WD, 660 cc turbo motor, and air conditioning. I am pretty happy with mine for city driving here. For price comparison I paid $4500 for mine last year, and it is a few years newer than the trucks you have in the video. Suzukis have better seating for a larger westerner.
Jason, Nothing beats a farm / street legal all purpose 4WD verroom...hauling gets easier and when it rains, drive it & stay dry...as always, Cheers from Maine.
I've lived in Tokyo Japan for 32+ years. I've owned a "Kei" (pronounced "kay") Truck or van for about 25 years. They are great. I have a Subaru, but I don't do much off-road, but in the snow the engine being in the rear is great. I drive my Kei van on the expressway all the time, but I've found a limit of about 3 hours is all you want to travel. Getting one makes sense, they get great gas mileage and a very reliable. Shifting with your left hand takes a bit to get used to, but you will get used to it. Cheers from Tokyo!
Bentley is so funny! Tony is a rock star! I bought a Sambar and got it last week. I won't go anywhere else for mini trucks. Mayberry Mini Trucks is the best!
I lived in Japan for about 7 years total, and those trucks were used for mostly city delivery, They were very versitile, and would haul about anything you could load on it and tie down. They seldom exceeded about 40 kph or 25 mph. If you got 20,000k on the odometer the truck has about 12,500 miles on it. Keep it greased, and oil changed and transmission and rear end lubed and you should be good to go. A much better value than a sxside. A real work horse so to speak. It does have side vents, and hood vents which will keep you cool in the summer, so enjoy the good life. PS. Roll the windows up if it rains. LOL
I had a few mini trucks, they are great for a farm. But keep them on road or light trail. They dont have great travel and gets high centered easily. But in fields and roads there great for price
You will be so glad to have that truck on those cold rainy days. Driving on the left side must really feel strainge. If you ever decide to you can deliver mail..... LOL
Neat mini. Sow the Land Logo on the doors and long horns on the hood and some nobbie tires 🛞 and you’ll be the man about town. Great tool for the homestead.
Used for: EVERYTHING...lol. Farming, Fishing, Work Trucks, Construction, Beer Trucks, and anything else you can think of. They are called "Keitora's" in Japan. So crazy. I grew up with Tony and his kids. Now my wife works with him and his wife. Small world.
Wow , we have that also here in phillippines very useful and very practical, we called that truc rusco and multicab

This is the second video I've seen featuring Mayberry Mini trucks
Ooohhhh snap I’ve always wanted one of those. This will make chores so much easier. Hope you love it as much as I think I would😂
Just got back from Japan. They use them a lot outside of Tokyo and the other bug cities they are pretty cool.
I had a brand new suzuki carry in 1990, it was my daily drive here in the UK. When asked what it was like to drive, i always gave the same reply "it's a smile a mile".
A perfect addition to your homestead.
Tell me why I am grinning from ear to ear😁 What a cute truck🤗
Hello, Jason. I'm happy to see you acquired something that should make your day-to-day routine easier, but it's stowaway dog that made me give the video a thumbs up!
that is so cute I'm glad you got this little helper.
when I retired we bought a Suzuki Swift...she's a great little car.We love her!!!
Awesome y’all, that truck will be a huge time saver.
So glad you bought this Jason, farm life is hard and heavy, it will save your shoulders and back Luv ya
When I was in the Air Force and was either deployed and stationed in Korea, we drove those around the base. Was very helpful carrying our tools and equipment.
Trucks sweet! They were used more so around the fish market than the homestead either way rock solid when it comes to reliability the Japanese know how to do it 💪
Great purchase!! Definately needs your logo on it!!

I think you are going to REALLY appreciate the new farm truck!
Jason. At 11:34 your big smile and eyes showed the same expression of a 16 year old with their first vehicle. You are a family that deserves great joy. You work hard and your homestead progress shows it. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool little vehicle. Glad you got the one that turns the back into a flatbed.
Oh heck yeah! That truck fits y'all's personality so much! Love it!
I love it! You have definitely used your brain with getting something different that is more useful than what the masses are! Smart!
I love that truck, looks like so much fun to drive - everyone was smiling too. Maybe get a rubber mat to protect that flat bed. I'm sure its going to be so useful on your new farm.
Horse stall mat from Tractor Supply
I would just do truck bed liner.
Your photo with Elvira in the front seat and chicken in the back is priceless 😂😂 Watching you after a long hard work day just made my night!! Love your family!!

Dude that’s super cool! Your always ahead Jason 😊
I showed this to my adult English students here in rural Japan, they were amazed
I’m not sure you should put a wench on it but a winch would be great😅
Hey, whatever you're in to, lol!
You’ll be very surprised, these things are unstoppable off road. Toyo Open country make the right size too. Super light weight and 5ft wide, your going to loose a wrangler pretty quick through the trees.
I grew up in South Africa ,driving on the opposite site to the USA moving to the USA driving was a challenge. you will get use to it
Keitruck! I lived in the countryside of Japan for 2 years and these were staples. EVERYWHERE. Selling produce out the back of them, carrying supplies, doing al lkinds.

Nice to see you sat on the proper side to drive 😂😂
It suits you

I think the new mini truck is PERFECT!!! Great addition && going to be SO helpful with all the farm chores and errands!!
What a game changer! I love creative problem solving and it's adorable/super flexible!
Nice, my father-in-law had one and I loved driving it to everything I visit him in Japan on his farm.
That's gotta be the coolest looking little truck 🚚 You could put a small tote on the back. 👍
I love the simplicity and durability, it's way better than today's trucks.
Love your new truck. This is going to be great on the farm, especially as you domore with the land way back there. That would be a very hot walk, come July and August. So happy you were able to get this. Y'all have a Blessed day..
Awesome! I've always thought those looked super useful. Let us know how it goes for you
So cool!! I know what a big help and time saver this is going to be for you when you’re hauling stuff around the farm!!! And it’s cute 😊

The jobs that can help with is endless, have fun 👍👍👍👍
There you go, driving on the correct side of the vehicle even if you're driving on the wrong side of the road! Hi from Australia
I love these trucks I just wish they came in automatic due to a back injury. I can’t do stick anymore.
They're rare, but you can get these trucks in automatic.
Well, a good change is to replace the tires with off-road tires. So you won't slip on wet grass.
And fully articulated suspension so it can do rock crawling:)
Last time I saw a smile that big was when Jason you got the big farm. He’s having fun with that truck my goodness.
Jason, Nothing beats a farm / street legal all purpose 4WD verroom...hauling gets easier and when it rains, drive it & stay dry...as always,
Cheers from Maine.
Those mini trucks are great! Congratulations!
Oh Jason! I am sooo jealous. I have been looking at a Honda ACTY dump truck. They are a RightSide drive. Will look into this location! 🌞🌱❤️
I've lived in Tokyo Japan for 32+ years.
I've owned a "Kei" (pronounced "kay") Truck or van for about 25 years. They are great.

you look so happy - so happy for you - this will make homestead life so much easier.
I love that you commented on the RHD, I was looking at it as perfectly normal. You'll get used it in no time.
You will be so glad to have that truck on those cold rainy days. Driving on the left side must really feel strainge. If you ever decide to you can deliver mail..... LOL
That is the cutest little truck! It seems perfect for what you need.
Love this video! Can’t stop smiling from ear to ear. And your knack for picking “just right “ music is incredible!
Very long time viewer. I have one and I love my mini truck. I like it so much that it became my daily driver. Gas goes a long way.
Hey the guy selling the truck what a cool dude!
The dealer seems like such an incredibly nice guy
Great to see you buy a truck with the steering wheel on the correct side! lol. Have fun.
Neat mini. Sow the Land Logo on the doors and long horns on the hood and some nobbie tires 🛞 and you’ll be the man about town. Great tool for the homestead.
Congratulations, you deserve your little truck.
Very good 👍 and the Driver sits on the correct side 😁🇬🇧👍
So awesome you guys got something to help you out ! Yea !
