It sounds suprisingly better than I thought it would, I think it's the manual transmission for me
I had a 06 focus. I kept the resonator and installed a muffler on it. It sounded pretty good for being a non turbo four banger
Ford Focus's get pretty good sound after you take off those massive mufflers and resonators, kind of an underdog even when it's not a performance model

Hey mate I got the same car and I did the same thing firstly until I could not handle the drop off power from between 60kmh to around 75kmh because of this muffler delete so I decided to go back and get a more sporting muffler whilst still having the resonator removed and its much better now man. More powerful than muffler delete and less annoying when you are commuting long distance to work and back just wanted a more quiet ride back home without everyone looking at you. Plus it doesn't sound good if it doesn't look like it should sound like a race car when it doesn't especially your focus with all stock components looks silly in my eyes mate just saying. ❤Muffler tip 🤣😂
It really doesn't sound as bad at higher rpms but I am still just not a fan of straights on 4 or 6 cylinder

@@davida4886 I do. It’s just funny to see a focus that loud. You’d hear it and have no idea it was the focus. Quieter exhaust and engine mods, it could be one hell of a sleeper. Sorry I found it funny lol

I have a 2015 focus manual 5 speed se 2.0 flex fuel and it will hold the rpms at certain point to aid in shifting it seems. It definitely does seem to always hold the r's though. Before, I had a 2005 svt 2.0 6 speed 91 octane and it would go up and down like a yoyo very quickly in the rpm.
The dual mass flywheel on these from the factory are really really heavy. Like 30 lbs or so. Helps with driveability.

Well sure seams to be an extreme difference in people's opinions in the comments. The car sounds good at high rpm plus more air flow out means more air flow in . Simple math less restrictions more flow .
