I am a 46-year-old musician. I play guitar and have graduated in Classical Music, COmposition and Arrangements. Sure enough I love the classics, like Beethoven, Wagner, Vivaldi , Fux. But, IMHO, Danny Elfman is the greatest genius ever to breath on this Earth.
I love the proud smile of her father the daughter has. And how thoroughly confused the dog looks at his first shot, saying What I got to do with this? Lol, then at the end how unmotivated the dog looks on the treadmill lol. 😂
How many times have I listened to this. Many nights I listen to it when I go to sleep. since I was a teenager. I'm 57. I love Oingo Boingo and Danny Elfman.
Danny, I religiously listened to your Oingo Boingo stuff in high school (2007-2011), and randomly decided to revisit it today only to discover you've started releasing singles and stuff again!! Thank you for sharing the brain worm with us in this new form 💖 honestly I feel like this version has just a little something the old album version was missing. The vibe is not frantically sprinting like the original, it's more just.... unconscious repetition of a cycle. And somehow to me that's more fitting.
can this PLEASEEEEEE be added to spotify or soundcloud ?! this song, specifically this version, just sends me straight up to cloud 9. i can’t describe in words the emotions this version of the song makes me feel… it’s so beautiful
I absolutely love the ending with Mali humming and Yuki running on a threadmill, made me smile so much :) So adorable, all of you. The whole video is so wholesome, and it's one of my favourite Boingo songs
I really enjoyed this, you say simple and silly, but I hear the increasing complexity sneaking up on me 10 seconds in, I also see you happy with how it’s sounding as you play, and that warms my heart as much as anything I hear.
I remember being a kid, hearing Beetlejuice melody for the first time. Was obsessed with it but being a kid I never looked up to who made it, I just liked the tunes. Throughout the years to my high school days, I heard some more catchy tunes from various movies that I really loved and I think that was the time I started looking into who makes these masterpieces. To my surprise, the best tunes that never left my mind were made by one man, Danny Elfman! I started following his music like I would any other popular band ( remember I was in my teens ), and with great anticipation awaiting the new unique movie theme, I was never disappointed! I also researched, watched any interviews to get a feeling of what kind of a man is my idol...I was surprised by his life story and climb in the movie industry. The fact that he had no music school degree like the other movie composers at the time, and still beat all of them in their game was just...WOW! I had a band at the time and this really made me feel like music is something that comes from your mind and soul, school can help understand it better yes, but it can also cripple your creativity. You can not create something new blindly following the same steps everybody else does, gotta make your own path. I'm 37 now, composed a few songs myself, still doing music and enjoying it a lot, not limiting myself to anything in life and it's all thanks to this man right here! Thank you Danny for inspiring me throughout the years in all possible ways!
Oh my! Why does this not have a million views? Danny you are a genius and an inspiration. Thanks so much for sharing such a candid, personal piece of work.
There is just no other voice like yours, instant chills down the spine whenever I hear it... thank you for this and Happy, brings back memories but I Miss those Halloween shows the most....... I have 3 songs that are required to be played at my wake..... Rush- Working man and Oingo Boingo - Nobody Lives forever followed by Dead Mans Party
I think I've listened to this more than almost any new song in 2020. Absoutely oozing with charm, and an atmosphere so thick you can choke on it. Love it, and can't wait to see what comes next.
Thank you so much for this! My husband and I loved hearing this version! Its so calming and chill with an edge to it! We listen to your Oingo Boingo albums all the time and liked the throw back!
I cannot believe that I just found this. This is like a golden blast from my childhood in a new, more relatable form or something. It's like new content to me. I'm obsessed. Danny Elfman is so cool!
Mr. Elfman if you by chance read this I would just like you to know you are one of my favorite artists. Your work with Oingo Boingo was awesome. One of my favorites of your songs if you remember it is an unreleased song called "All The Pieces" the arrangement espically in the pre chorus is so catchy and memorable. Is there any chance at all to get a studio remaster of the song? And other unreleased gems? It would really make my year to hear All The Pieces in studio quality sound!
absolutely amazing!! oddly calming, especially for what is an upbeat tune. love them both nonetheless 💗 surprised this video doesnt have more attention, such great work.
I really love this version you made. It's always been interesting to see how your sound has changed over time even going back to old Mystic Knights recordings of certain songs.
Is it time? Is it that time, now? Can I awaken my sleeping hungry soul? Is the fantabulous energy of Danny (Family and O.B.?) going to rush a tidal wave over the world once again? Alas, only an utterly lost soul so devoted to this "macabre and wonderful" would wait forever for such hope. Yes, now is the time. Time to awaken with a wave of the macabre and wonderful for the world is in need. The world is ready.
Welcome back Danny! This is like a dream come true! My father introduced me to Oingo Boingo when I was a child in the 80s and been a huge fan ever since. We both are looking forward to the new album!! I never had the opportunity to see you live being I was only 5, but hopefully that will one day come true too!
this is the first oingo boingo song i ever listened to. my gateway song if you will... hearing this new take on the song that started it all for me means so much :)
WE NOW that you are a rocker from the STARS , Thanks a lot forever you magic in the NACHO LIBRE movie was the gold for all the world and for us, you triger Mister Loco band back to the studio love you always
Danny thank you so much for this... everything you do just makes me smile... even Happy, which led me here. ;O) Oh look.. i just repeated what the previous commenter wrote LOL
Hey Danny, I'm in my 20s and I like punk music but your my favorite musician since oingo bingo. Shot in the dark, and I'm just a random person but could we play music? I'm not very good but don't have anyone to play music with.
And with that, Danny Elfman wins the COVID-Quarantine music video contest.
This warms my old Boingo heart. So happy to be hearing a new amazing version of Running on a Treadmill. 10/10
Thank you so much for this!! You are such a huge inspiration. Stay safe, sir!
Woah!!!! I didnt know you're into Danny elfman! I guess it makes sense!!! ^^
I'm a huge fan of both of you!!! ❤

I listened religiously when I was in high school (1981-1985).
Good music is good music.
Love this new version
I graduated in '84, same opinion.@@michaelburk9171
can this PLEASEEEEEE be added to spotify or soundcloud ?! this song, specifically this version, just sends me straight up to cloud 9. i can’t describe in words the emotions this version of the song makes me feel… it’s so beautiful
This is the ultimate fanfare to one of the best New Wave bands.
I absolutely love the ending with Mali humming and Yuki running on a threadmill, made me smile so much :) So adorable, all of you. The whole video is so wholesome, and it's one of my favourite Boingo songs
This is the song that got stuck in my head in 1983 and made me a fan. Thanks for the new version!
For me, it was pretty much all of Nothing To Fear. I have listened to this version about 50-75 times. it makes me feel happy.
I really enjoyed this, you say simple and silly, but I hear the increasing complexity sneaking up on me 10 seconds in, I also see you happy with how it’s sounding as you play, and that warms my heart as much as anything I hear.
Wow. Seriously, Danny, your music is out of this world! I absolutely loved this. Brilliant stuff.
WOW!!! This is really Happening... Mr. Danny "Oingo Boingo" Elfman !!! Backing to the old school ! Always perfect!

man he's so freaking cool!
How have only 1k+ people liked this!? I love this version and I wish he'd release an official version for Spotify or cd/vinyl 😢
Your music elicits such strong emotion in so many different ways. Even 50 years later you're one of the most talented songwriters there is.
Thank you so much for this! My husband and I loved hearing this version! Its so calming and chill with an edge to it! We listen to your Oingo Boingo albums all the time and liked the throw back!
Sounds like the ghost of the mystic knights joining in and for some reason that got me all emotional.
One of my Boingo favorites. It definitely sticks to the brain.
My whole life you've made music that has inspired me and frustrated me (wish I had written it!)
I get this song randomly in my head at work. I guess it shows how old I am. Thanks for this upload!
Oh, how I love this. The memories.
Thank you sir.
I cannot believe that I just found this. This is like a golden blast from my childhood in a new, more relatable form or something. It's like new content to me. I'm obsessed. Danny Elfman is so cool!
