I really enjoy your content. I would love it if you could give us one video a week but if you can’t I understand. Thanks for this video cause after tv show Ruyi everyone believes the story is what happened in true history. ❤
Just a correction, the Empress didn't reside in the Changchung while being princess consort, but in the Shufang Lodge, at the back of the Western Six Palaces, which was the residence for Prince Bao during the Yongzheng emperor's reign.
Yonglian isn’t the eldest son of qianlong, as qianlong’s eldest son was Yonghuang the prince of Ding who was born at the sama year with empress fucha’s eldest daughter. But his mother is a concubine, and coincidentally has the sama Surname as empress fucha but of different branch But nonetheless yonglian could be counted as the eldest legitimate son and yonghuang as the eldest illegitimate son And when qianlong ascended the throne, yonglian was not the only son, as there was the eldest prince Yonghuang and the third prince Yongzhang born by Concubine Chun Great video though 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The story of Qianlong the Qing Emperor was portrayed in 2 different stories The Story of the Yanxi Palace and Ruyi's Love in the Palace. Which of these dramas were based on the authentic story?
Could you explain the background of the Han Chinese people? I am watching a TV drama and The Empress Dowager kept saying to the Emperor do not fall in love with a Han Chinese woman, also in the drama the Forbidden City had a rule that no Han Chinese woman was allowed to enter the Imperial family. I still don't know why, 🤷🏽♀or what is it to be Han Chinese? Please help 😕
In the past, Han and Manchu were two different ethnic groups. As Qing dynasty was founded & ruled by the Manchu, some thought they were more noble & better than the Han.. 😊
I'm confused. I've heard it pronounced "fooka" in Mandarin. I know the narrator speaks Cantonese, and I don't know much about Chinese, but I didn't think it would be that different. But then again there are BIG differences between Mandarin and Cantonese.

I must praise your choice of background music. It is very moving. Quite suitable for the topic.

I wonder how Princess Hejing of the First Rank factored into her mother's feelings, given that she was Empress Fucha's only surviving child?
