Keely Hodgkinson is the 800m Olympic silver medalist where she placed second behind Athing Mu. Keely is also the British 800m record holder running 1:55 for 800m.
This interview was after her 800m victory in the Birmingham diamond league, at a track where the commonwealth games are in a few months.

Keely will have to run 1: 55 to win gold. Running 1:57 should be easy for her. She should be running low 1:56 by now. She needs to be stronger, work harder, she needs to be much faster. As Trackstaa pointed out below, it's more likely Keely will have to run 1:54 to win gold. I remember Seb Coe's dad (Peter) pushing Seb harder and harder (in a good way) until Seb started smashing world records. Keely needs that mentality. Her goals should be smashing world records at 800 and 1500. And gold medals. That's greatness. Good luck to her.
I think she’ll have to be able to run 1:54 to win to be honest. Every race she’s dominated so far. Maybe 1:55 shape right now but let’s see

@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 yeah think Athing and Keely pretty much dominate every race they’re in. And keely finished fast in Tokyo. Athing still dominated that race but I think now keely only has Athing and the win to focus on it’s a different type of battle between the two

Athing is as young as she is, but Athing hasn’t reached her peak… It’s gonna be very difficult for her to beat Athing in the next 5 Years… Good luck with that….
