Achievements like this are the result of intensive training involving a lot of pain and discomfort, and requires a sort of discipline that is very rare. Racing at Keely's level requires a super-human level effort involving the mind, the body, and a huge amount of applied intelligence and knowledge. Keely didn't just beat 8 other women in that final. She beat the thousands and thousands of runners from the four corners of the Earth who wanted to be in that race but didn't have the right stuff to be there. Keely is an extraordinary person. Running like this embodies the human desire to move forward and be better than those who came before us. To challenge the very boundaries of what humans are capable of.
The reality is some countries could have fieled more fast runners in Olympic events but they cannot because of the limits on runners from each country. She did not beat thousands and thousands of runners and that is jsut silly - she beat the runners in the race on the day.
@@amblincork She has run the fastest time run over her distance for a number of years this season. Just over a second beyond a very dubious WR from the Cold war era that has stood longer than any other WR . So your comment is silly she did not just beat her opponents in that Olympic final.
@@keithbate9405 Silly talk! Keely stood on the start line in Paris with a personal best time a second and a half faster than any other finalists had run this year. And, she had beaten every other top 800m runner, on various occasions...easily.
You’ve got Dame Kelly Holmes sat next to her yet there’s 3 other women don’t let her get a word in edge ways. I would have much rather Kelly Holmes ask the questions.
@@KvbftngFitness permitting she could well get close in the first part of 2025. I too was looking forward to her next races. It will be fascinating when Athing Mu is back.
At only 22, she likely has at least two more Olympic games in her future if she wants to stay with the sport that long. I hope that she does. As a Californian, I am greatly looking forward to seeing Keely compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
As a modest athletics club 'fun' runner i know what it takes to run that fast..you absolutely need special talent AND the focus to train everyday. 1:55 is the sort of time talented male club runners do. Two 57.5 seconds 400m back to back. Crazy fast. She still has a few years to shave a second off.
La compostezza e la naturalezza senza artifici di Keely la rendono ancora più carina di quanto già appare. Un insegnamento per tutte quelle giovani donne che scioccamente si deturpano credendo di migliorare il proprio aspetto.
Erm you do know Rory many British people are Irish descent especially in the north in Manchester and Liverpool. Do you not support Irish descent people ? Good on you for staying in Ireland and being well off enough not having to move for work like my parents did.

Keely has a chance of displacing that tainted World Record but will need to race others of the same calibre and there are not many. Mu, Moraa and maybe our own Phoebe Gill
Interviews these days are too fast. I would have wanted to hear about her winning the Euros while not well, about the up and coming uk runners in her event and whether the drug fuelled world record in her event can be beaten by a clean athlete.
I have yet to hear any commentator mention the fact that the defending Olympic Champion wasn't there because she was tripped at the American trials. We will never know if Keely could have beaten Athing Mau.
mu always leaves the inside lane open and slows down so she can shove the other runner in the rails and cheat if mu wants that then just give them all baseball bats and in a fair race mu would have lost again
@@jonnyhawkins7744 i don't give a sh it what other people think. You sit and idolize a runner,, why not get out and do your own running and better yourself at it?
Been watching Keely race for years she deserves the gold, Most admirable
She is sooooo sweeet! Seen her in Paris, the golden girl!
Congratulations to Keely 🏅 She is so well spoken for her age and incredibly talented. Can't wait to see you run next year.

What a woman and role model. Perfection personified ❣️
Have been a fan for a long time...she is pure class! I am hoping she can focus on times and records now she is a proven racer.
Wonderful!

Because the show is all about each trying to get a few mins of fame as without this they’d be on absolutely nothing 😂

Definite favourite. No one else has achieved as much as her ythid twar
It’s hardly been a vintage sporting year for England/Britain (depending on sport) so she ought to be a shoo in. Thank God for her gold.
Probably give it to a women footballer who no body has heard of….again !!
Beauty.
I don’t understand why people give ITV the time of day.
If I was an Olympian, I wouldn’t be going near the likes of This Morning or Loose Women.
Why?
Hello 👋 Respected Kelly, I want to see another GOLD in LA2028.
Good 👍 Luck 🤞

1:55 is stunningly fast....i trained everyday for a decade but never managed more than 2:08 and im a guy.
I have been running longer than a decade and she is just so fast
You only notice how well spoken she is ... because of the decay in the rest of the wider society in the UK.
is this show like the American "the view", but with attractive women with nice teeth?
Ño, the "view" is plastic TV and isn't real.
You don't have to have the initials KH, but it appears to help.
Gorgeous
God I love her 😍

You can only beat who is there. Just trying to pour cold water on proceedings, nice try.
If she could speak just a tad bit slower and not melt words together that would be lovely. ❤
Let's see you run on a cinder trac or a grass cross country
Your Time is not world class
Good job she is not on performance handing drugs like other 800m athletes
