*Based on comments from Hasbro designer Greg Berndtson, the Flagg is loosely based on the Essex Class aircraft carrier USS Essex however there are some design elements from others such as the Forrestal, Nimitz and Kitty Hawk Class carriers that were in the U.S. Navy fleet.
