Hey Noah, thank you so much for the video! I have a recommendation that you probably would like to discuss in another video :D It is the breakdown of ostinatos from Debussy, for example from Pagodes or Reflection on the Water. Keep up the good work, Noah! You inspire me
Wow! Another great tutorial! Could you also recommend some tunes that using obstinado lines? I know one of the great examples is The Spinners’ by Tigran
Hi Noah, I'm currently going through the chord charts for Jazz Standards, and I came across this video searching for jazz piano patterns that I could use to play whilst going through the chord sequence. The first pattern is pretty straight forward, but whoa, the second one is a huge jump in technicality. Surely there must be other patterns between the two?
Hi Noah, I like your channel. I like to suggest something, which has not much to do with this video here. For a long time now I am hoping for someone who has the ability, making a video about Robert Glaser´s piano playing on "for free?" on Kendrick Lamar´s to pimp a Butterly. cheers, Michael
Hi Noah. Thank you very much. I plan to work on these. A little critique, but it’s not about your playing at all: I’m not sure if you’ve noticed or if anyone tells you, but you often say the word “actually” habitually as a filler in all of your videos. In most cases, you don’t need to say this word at all & I’m certain it’s merely a bad habit. Only saying this bc at some points it’s 4-5 sentences in a row & I think it takes away from your brilliance. Thanks again, & I hope that helps.
Another great lesson. This channel has100% top-quality info every time. BTW, a master of the ostinato is Keith Emerson.

Could you do the same with polyrythms and maybe adaapt to a Tune like Donna Lee or Moment s Notice?
Good job, thank you
Beautiful
Please make a video on Cory Henry's solo analysis.
Is there midi file for this lesson?
From (0:04) to (12:47) … the two hands are confusing. Noting breathing.

That first improv sounded just like George Winston. But other New Age players clearly make use of the ostinatos.

Woo thanks Ricardo!
Piano is a bit like playing piano 2 instruments with each hand ✋ a part ! Something that beginner like me have to comprehend .,,
