This is a wonderful song, so well sung by Aoife. I'm glad that it became part of the repertoire of I'm With Her, using Aoife's great vocal and an improved instrumental part.
This song was originally played by Julian lage and two other men as a slow jazz song. When Julian, Chris, and Aoife got together they wrote Julian's song Ryland in a way that it would accommodate the change in instruments and genre.
Interesting though b/c Julian wrote this melody as Ryland and then she later wrote lyrics, from what I understand. So this is really close to the source of both song and tune.
