Instead of giving you one last dialog option and then greying out anyways. It's such great story that obviously has a sad tragic tone to it. So why allow every goodbye to be so nonchalant or even happy sounding. Still a fantastic game. The dialog options might have just been a bit too ambitious.

I've played RDR1 3 times from start to *just* before the end. Each game I have never played the final mission. I just can't do that to John. It may be stuck i the denial phase of grief, but it's *my* game, and in *my* game John, Abigail and Jake live happily ever after, dammit! (*sniff* Keep it together big guy. you're okay, you're okay)

There was one cool interaction John had with Jack and Abigail at Beecher’s Hope. I saw Jack and Abigail sitting in that gazebo outside and Jack was playing a musical instrument while Abigail was singing “Oh Susanna.” The song lasted a while and was pretty cool.
The whole "Greet" and/or "Antagonize" option is an amazing feature. Makes the environment feel totally interactive, shows the characters personality, and explore the NPCs of the world. I hope for future games, companies tweak it jus a little bit. So many of these conversations (including the insults) do seem random and somewhat "plastic" (if that makes sense). Still a long way to go, but wow, this game has broken the mold on so many factors. Still enjoy the hell out of it.
Its nice that you end of the game with the life of John and Abigail just living in the Ranch and loving the peaceful life they owned. Sure, all of that changed for the greater good, but just thinking of their presence in RD2 just feels right.
He may or may not have went to Canada. John states that, I believe to Abigail after the wedding and credits, or in his journal, that he went off hunting. Regardless if it’s a glitch or not, I’m always happy to see charles.
abigail's lovely. She's rough with him sometimes but because she wants to push him on the good line. I adore how she treats him 90% of the time (sometimes she exagerates aswell in my op). But she's lovely here, and understandably don't want to hear about the old anymore.
I started to think it would be nice that Jack tried to contact Charles after Ross's death, since Sadie lived as bounty hunter and is more probable that she died doing this
Sadie isn't stupid, she knows when she bit off more then she could chew like she didn't go try to steal back her bounty from a gang cause she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance
How cool would it be if they remade RDR1 missions and put them in RDR2? They could give you the option to perpetuate high honor: thus providing a "good ending" where John somehow survives the onslaught of Ross. Probably won't happen, but it does make me wonder why Rockstar painstakingly remade/crafted the RDR1 map, and barely used it at all. Heck, there's vast chunks of New Austin that the story missions don't even take you to. They're there for a reason. I'm positive the map will be fully utilized in DLC's but to the degree they'll be used and content thereof...remains to be seen. Aaaaaaaand Rockstar won't communicate ANYTHING. We'll know the missions that the New Austin map will consist of THE day it launches. Not sooner or later. One thing's for sure: you can't accuse Rockstar of hyping their games. That's what you and I are for. In retrospect, in the two years leading up to its release (since first announcing it in 2016) they only released 3 or 4 VERY short trailers. Really wish they'd drop a hint.
Honestly, this upset me so badly, the whole epilogue, because it's such a nice ending. John made it, he got out of the life and became a farmer, this would be so nice if not for the entire story of RDR1. ;,,,;
It's kinda awkward how they end a conversation, it's like "okay, we've talk long enough now shut the fuck up". Even more awkward than the "okay, I'll catch you later then".

How cool would it be if they remade RDR1 missions and put them in RDR2? They could give you the option to perpetuate high honor: thus providing a "good ending" where John somehow survives the onslaught of Ross. Probably won't happen, but it does make me wonder why Rockstar painstakingly remade/crafted the RDR1 map, and barely used it at all. Heck, there's vast chunks of New Austin that the story missions don't even take you to. They're there for a reason. I'm positive the map will be fully utilized in DLC's but to the degree they'll be used and content thereof...remains to be seen. Aaaaaaaand Rockstar won't communicate ANYTHING. We'll know the missions that the New Austin map will consist of THE day it launches. Not sooner or later. One thing's for sure: you can't accuse Rockstar of hyping their games. That's what you and I are for. In retrospect, in the two years leading up to its release (since first announcing it in 2016) they only released 3 or 4 VERY short trailers. Really wish they'd drop a hint.

Honestly, this upset me so badly, the whole epilogue, because it's such a nice ending. John made it, he got out of the life and became a farmer, this would be so nice if not for the entire story of RDR1. ;,,,;
