The recato red seats only came in the 81 Daytona pace car, and 81 was the last year for the second generation, 82 was the introduction of the third gen firebird used on knight rider. I own a 1980 pace car like the one you are showing, used to own a 1982 third gen trans am an also own a 1983 trans am, besides other old inexpensive vehicles.
Hello Ken, yes sir I gotcha the last 73 Trans Am I had was an automatic and I put a 3000 Stall converter With a big cam and 373 gears, it was snappy But yes, I’ve always preferred a four-speed 👍👍✌️
